Nigeria has officially floated its naira currency after years of sticking with a hard peg that spooked investors and drained dollars from the economy.
The development means buyers and sellers of foreign currency in the official FX market are now allowed to quote rates they find comfortable in the FX market, as against previous practice where rates were dictated by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).


The Investors & Exporters (I&E) window is now quoting a range of between N750 and N755/$, according to customers who cited emails received from their banks.

That implies a 21 percent decline in the naira compared to the previous rate of N463/$ which the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is still quoting as the I&E rate on its website. However, the last time the CBN updated the rate was June 9.

The latest move by the CBN follows President Bola Tinubu’s suspension of CBN governor Godwin Emefiele whose unorthodox monetary policies had become a stumbling block to investors and the economy.

The exchange rate could go as high as N800 by the end of today, according to some bankers, who say an initial knee-jerk reaction could cause the naira to weaken sharply before recovering some lost ground.

“Given that this new rate in the official market is the same as the parallel market, there is no incentive for people and businesses with genuine transactions to patronize the parallel market, hence FX trading activity in the parallel market will slow down significantly,” Abiola Rasaq, an economist and former head of investor relations at United Bank for Africa.

“Subsequently, the official market should attract more FX supply and rate should gradually ease in the I&E window, and such would cause rates in the parallel market to also ease,” Rasaq said.

The CBN’s next move should be to prioritise supply of dollars to support the naira float.

“The convergence of the rates is only the first step, the next step is the most crucial and that is to boost supply into the market,” a source told BusinessDay.

“No foreign investor will come without a hedge and that can only come when there is assurance of supply. That’s the hard work,” the source said.

Another knowledgeable source is of the view that allowing the market to determine the FX rate is only the first of six steps to fixing Nigeria’s broken FX market.

The second step must be to provide a hedge mechanism that is priced in line with the market while the third step is to ensure market yields are attractive to Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPI).

The next steps are to ensure transparency and remove all controls around domiciliary accounts. Finally, there is also a need to clear the dollar backlog in the market in order to attract FPIs.

“The focus is on supply,” the source said.

Expectations are high after the initial move to fix Nigeria’s broken FX market.

Chidi Uzo, a fund manager at Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Ltd, said the move was “a bold step in the right direction.”

“However this should go in tandem with the lifting of capital restrictions for investors waiting on the sidelines to repatriate their funds. We expect foreign investor participation to be swayed by the extent to which capital is allowed to flow freely,” Uzo said.

“Overall, the effective harmonisation of Nigeria’s multiple exchange rates by allowing market forces to determine the fair value of the naira should immediately reverse the multi-year widening spreads between the official exchange rate and the parallel market exchange rates,” he said.

People can easily single out the Holy Spirit.

Some others can easily single out Peter.

While few others who see and understand can boldly say SATAN!

Meanwhile, we must know what our different results represent and what they can do and can't do.��

Let's start with the Hoy Spirit.��

(Galatians 5:22)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

From the above bible verse, did you notice that the Holy Spirit only bears good fruits?�

(John 14:16)
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

From the recent verse above, the Holy Spirit is sent to abide with you forever, and not ending any relationship by putting someone to death.

(Ephesians 1:13)
In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

The above bible verse states that the duty of the Holy Spirit again is to seal a believer as totally belonging to Christ.

NOW, LET'S SEE THE ACTIVITIES OF PETER IN THIS CASE.��

The assignment which Christ gave to Peter was for him to feed His sheep both physically and spiritually in love and meekness.❤

But, we all know that Peter failed in the manner at which he handled Ananias and Sapphira's case, because, the persistent questioning which was presented to them with a concealed threat only exposed Ananias and the wife into lying defiantly.

Peter could have collected what the husband and wife presented out of their own free will without asking them questions that would victimize them and eventually exposing them to the devil leading to their untimely death.

NOW, LET'S EXAMINE THE DEVIL.��

Take note of these two words enacted from the recent bible verse above: "MURDERER" & "LIAR" (Father of Liar).

Now, remember that the early Christians were in a church gathering when a couple (Ananias and Sapphire) dropped dead.�

And the negativity which Satan tend to achieve from this act was to instill fear in the heart of believers, because after this event, serious fear gripped the early church.

Meanwhile, fear is of the devil and not of God.�

"Be of good cheer", that's Jesus' statement.

But, the fearful are abominable, because that's a devilish seed.

NOW, WHO KILLED THIS CARNAL COUPLE?

From the two verses above, I believe the whole picture is now clear?

That was Jesus rebuking his disciples by saying to them; "Ye know not the Holy Ghost", for the Holy Spirit does not destroy men's lives, but to save them".

Jesus had clearly clarified the swirling dust hovering over who was responsible for Ananias and Sapphire's untimely death.�

Only a thief kills, while the Holy Ghost gives abundant life.�

(John 10:10)
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

The above verse further clears our doubts.�

(Romans 13:12)
The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

This verse above was where Ananias and Sapphire lost their defense.�

The works of darkness (cheap lies) gave the devil a room to strike. And since the book of Acts is an eye-witness account, those who recorded the events therein were very careful in allotting this act of killing to anybody, which is why they carefully wrote, "On hearing Peter's speech, the couple dropped dead on different moments".

Meanwhile, a believer who's very enlightened knows the devil's antics, because, the devil chooses a favorable time to strike, and he would only strike where we will only be left with no other option than to erroneously attribute such evil act to another person. Meanwhile, in the Light (Christ), the works of darkness are already exposed. THE DEVIL IS THE ONLY MURDERER IN THE BIBLE! AND HE'D BEEN A MURDERER RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING.�

(Acts 5:3)
But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

Satan had already filled Ananias and Sapphire's heart making it easier for the devil to strike the couple down easily without leaving any traces while exposing Peter before the congregation as the person responsible for their death.

Meanwhile, Peter dragged in the Holy Ghost in the process into an unhealthy scrutiny.

In case you've forgotten so soon, remember that the Holy Ghost is not aggressive nor a terror, here are the characters of the Holy Spirit of God as revealed by Christ.��

The sin of blasphemy against the Holy Ghost can't be forgiven means that you've violated His innocency. And the unforgiveness there means "HE WON'T SEAL YOU AS A CHILD OF GOD AGAIN", thereby allowing you to be a reprobate where such a person is exposed to danger in the hands of the devil.

But ironically, many believers have blasphemed against the Holy Spirit continuously by claiming that the Gentle Holy Spirit went against His character and settled down in killing an ordinary mortal who most believers today have probably lied more than they'd done.

In summary, the Holy gentle Spirit of Christ is a life giver.�

While the devil is a thief, killer and murderer!�

May the revelational knowledge of Christ continue to reveal all hidden truths through the Holy Spirit of Truth that teaches all things, until all believers with simplicity of the heart will totally be edified and established in Truth in Jesus name, amen.��

From the tangible assets of God to the intangible assets

Las las the people of God whose tithes and offerings were use for these big projects will not benefit from it.

The church is gradually returning to the days of the Pharisees and Sadducees in the Synagogue that Jesus himself talked about in the book of Matthew 23v23.

The church of today is meant for the holys of holy, not for sinners.
Get converted outside before coming inside the beautiful church. Sinners are been driven out of the church as if they weren't part of the people Jesus came to die for because with the standard of the church some kind of dresses and hair styles can not be allowed.
