Firstly, the written tests tend to reveal what one has in-between his/her ears. That's d 1st port of call. If u don't have it, then u can't give it.

In my present school, if u don't score a minimum of 80% in maths then au revoir!. They believe {and i kinda concur} that if you as a teacher can't comfortably score an 'A' in ur subject, how can u teach ur students to have As.

Secondly, on the micro teaching, u don't need to take me to Kano before I know whether u know d way!
From ur description, I'll know whether u are knowledgeable or not.
The term micro means extremely small/short. The MT tends to highlight the teacher-student feedback cycle; it shows how d teacher presents his lesson to the students.....and 5-20 mins is enough for this.

In conclusion, the written tests determines the teacher's knowledge of the subject in questiion while the micro teaching shows d teacher's knowledge impartation skills........

You won't know how good he/she z until uve employed d individual. N d only proof would b d number of schools they've worked with, but that can b tricky in that someone might b spending just 1/2 terms in some schools b4 being fired, but will add all those schools in their CV for working experience

U needn't hire b4 determining d competency of a tutor.
That's why d potential teacher is made to undergo written tests and micro teaching A teacher's competency is directly proportional to your performance in the test/MT....it can't be faked.

Most times schools hire 'uncooked' teaches, they know already what they're doing; its either because he/she is d 'best' of the candidates available or they can't afford to pay for d services of a very good hand or they are in serious haste to fill the vacant position!

But, all things being equal, written tests+MT is enough to sieve the chaff from the wheat irrespective of the 'papers' such candidate bandy.

For instance, in my penultimate school, out of the 3 maths ttutors that were called for interview, I had the #lowest qualification but was given the job based on my performance during the test/MT.

You will need to find out which you are good at and have an interest in. Look up the various options and watch videos on youtube. That will give you an idea of what they are about.
In Nigeria it would appear network engineers make the best pay for now (CCNA etc) but that may change in the future.
As for the best school, look for one that is accredited and ask alumni of their experiences.

1. Web development is where the action is right now all over the world and far into the foreseeable future.
2. Machine learning is done to meet a need. We have not yet reached that level.
3.Machine learning is expensive; Nigerians do not have spare cash. It costs non-trivial amounts of money to set up a decent cluster and when you do that where is the data-set to run? You require huge data set s to make valid conclusions. There is simply no data in most cases. When you gain the knowledge how do you monetize your knowledge?
4. Game development is expensive and is a thing for well funded teams. Nigerians do not play games enough for development to be commercially viable.
5. Embedded systems development is specific to industry. Do you see any industries commissioning developers in Nigeria ?

Stop running down your countrymen.
It has little to do with laziness and more attributable to market demand.

The average American developer will struggle to survive much less produce any work under Nigerian conditions.
Finally, there are people doing ML in their private work-spaces. They just do not want to advertize. Ask the right questions and maybe they will respond.

These are the ones that are needed majorly now.

2) The most lucrative depends on who hires you. A programmer's starting salary for the poorest firm is about 80k in Nigeria plus other side jobs.

ICT depends on interest. So you need to know where your interest lies. That is why they have counsellors in various IT firms.

So I wouldn't wana recommend because I don't know your area of strength.
