When he was done, I called him and explained the implication of his driving habit, which is premature wear of the gear, especially the clutches.

Your gear is NOT designed to stop the vehicle. When the vehicle is still moving (no matter how slowly), and you engage the reverse gear, the holding members responsible for that range kick in, and struggle to first overcome the opposite rotation before pulling in the desired direction. This comes with negligible wear, but mount if this abuse continues over time.

The gear is designed to ramp up pressure with throttle input - the more the engine load, the higher the internal pressure. This ensures that the holding members (clutches, brakes, bands) respond with corresponding pressure to avoid slip. With zero throttle input during this abusive switch, the gear's internal pressure is at its lowest so, it is not able to contain that sudden slip effectively.

While your vehicle is crawling, the gear's internal parts are moving at higher speeds!

Please when can someone say He is Rich in Nigeria . Is their a specific amount of money you will have before you categorize yourself as being rich or very okay ? Is their a certain age coupled with the money or investments that will make you feel you are rich ? Any other criteria will be appreciated.Just thinking out loud.

Everybody have their turn off, I was actually planning something great with this girl- I met on a bus when I traveled north upper week,since then,all our communications has been through phone and chat. This morning I asked her out & she said she was gonna think about it but the next thing she said was pls give me money ..Although the money was a change or token to me but it automatically turned me off, I just told her No that I'm not paying for Love & she blocked me, Am I wrong to have said No or should I have given her the money although it's very small cos I felt it's too early.Over to my Niggers & to my beautiful Ladies on Nairaland.

Mehn..This got my cracked up ...Kai...Actually this happened to me during my service years & for few months after my service ..I was literally being paid for nothing & the worst be say I don't have to turn up at any particular office.its more like a work from home scenario & call up whenever there is a job for me to fix. .I had to be going to library so that people no go think say I no get job or I'm lazy ..long story sha...My advice Is improve yourself ..try to practice with the difficult duties in your office(maybe if u are an accountants) & read read read ..update yourself nd be versatile ..ask questions nd don't act dumb like u are enjoying your feeding bottle position ..Be enthusiastic & try to improve your value so that you can be indispensable

nice thread, am not a lady tho, but lemme share dis on behalf of my gf.
There was a day I was feeling kinda sick and tired, so I called her to come do the cookings she went to buy some stuffs and came back late cos she cant find a taxi back from the market, by then I don arrange anoda chick to do d cooking cos I was so hungry, she later came in carrying what she bought and was obviously looking walked up from the long trek, but lo and behold the other chick was doing the cooking already, she just walked in set up the other cooker and started cooking her own meal o, u really need to see me dat day, was so remorseful and felt like am married to two wives.
