I remember during the build up to this year general election, I was telling someone that "an average Nigerian is corrupt" and we only hate corruption because we're not at the sharing table.
All the new ( mostly first timers) lawmakers were allegedly given #25 millions each to support you-know-who candidacy as senate president but none of them would come out and publicly denied the allegations because it's true. |

You just nailed it, Bro !! Most of the sensible members of their movement know this but they're enjoying the euphoria of the senseless mob. Lot of the sensible one are using the movement to cash out, there's this guy on Twitter that mobilizing for fund for class action against INEC... Guy man is cashing out steadily babaolofin: Mr man, good morning. I did not read your junk. I replied Garfield based on your argument with him because you made reference to Osun Supreme Court judgement. Supreme Court, ICJ, ICC,etc and other Final and International Courts based their judgements on many factors.
Osun case is different from OBI case. Those ridiculous demands made by OBI team to INEC were never part of Oyetola's demand. Atiku also have the right to make the same ridiculous demands. INEC team have the duty to protect the integrity of INEC by not falling to the blackmail of OBI.
Whatever argument put forward at Osun cannot hold that is why on Social media I said Oyetola cannot win and I advised Tinubu to forget about Osun and focus on how to make Nigeria better as a President. I also put it on nairaland. Adeleke won Aregbesola to become a Senator. Aregbesola was the one that went to the battle of Senate and not the Senatorial contestant. Adeleke won gubernatorial in 2018 & 2022, less than 100 days in office he won 90% of State & Federal legislative elections. He won Presidential election. The first time ACN became Osun governor, it was after 3 years of legal tussle in 2010, if they had waited till 2011, Aregbesola can never win Oyinlola.
Apart from legal arguments and technicalities, the situation on ground also played its part. If Adeleke was denied this second time, in 2026, he would still win. His candidacy and campaign was not based on tribal and religious sentiment. It was not based on social media propaganda.
OBI people know this is the highest OBI can ever go in Nigeria political history. He can never repeat this feat again. He can never perform better. Tribal sentiment and sympathy cannot work in 2027 and beyond. Religious sentiment cannot work again. Social media propaganda cannot work again. They are taking the failure of iRev as an opportunity to scuttle democratic process making ridiculous demands to blackmail INEC this first and last time the opportunity presents itself.
Behind OBI case is people crying victimization and marginalization and not the technicality of the case. Whatever they put forward at the tribunal is just for formality sake. What they are asking for is the Power. They feel it is their turn to rule. The Northern political class and South West political class know this and even, Atiku know this. |

Every politically inclined persons know this year general election is the most CREDIBLE election ever since 1999. And it was so OBVIOUS Tinubu would win immediately the oppositions started moving mad and not united.
All the reported cases of Voters disenfranchisement, suppression and results swapping in less than 5% of the total polling units are not tangible enough to either cancel the election or order for a rerun.
After May 29th, Obi will be left on the island of delusion while lot of the so call supporters would have moved on.... |

Nothing bad with having a competent career politicians heading a position in government. In sane clime, 95% of government posts are headed by party members! Finding a technocrats in a party like APC won't be a difficult one. I bet the incoming government would have done their homework well and live true to the "30 years of strategic planning" they were boasting of during the election campaign. May Nigeria succeed! OneCandleAway: Career politicians. They can't survive without being in power. That's why Nigeria will not get better when we can't bring new people into the system especially technocrats who will work and leave to go back to their jobs. |
