Simply, I prefer "recommended contents" like you'll see in most websites like thoughtco for example. I intend on building a website but I cannot even close my eyes to manage paginated sites. A job that I percievd as a miracle job is turning out to be a nightmare. I got a job in Lagos last December as a web designer for the firm with a pay of 150k. The job was supposed to be hybrid but since I couldn't afford relocation we agreed I work remotely pending when I will be able to relocate.

This is the end of fabuary and I haven't received a dime, the man has simply refused to pay me and from his body language he's not going to pay. I contacted the HR and she told me the man isn't responding to her messsages or calls about the payment matter.

He has stopped viewing my messages on WhatsApp or taking my calls too. The guys that referred me mentioned something about him treating the predecessor same way and adviced I take it as employment fraud and walk away from the job.

The issue is I've put efforts and resources into the job and I cant just let go of 300K like that.
I've been borrowing to fuel my gen everyday to work and other expenses. My rent is expired and landlord had been on my neck to pay up. A lot of stuff is hinged on that money.
It's been from one flimsy excuse to the other.

Please I need suggestions on how I can get my money from this man, I have my appointment letter and he's a lawyer.

You have to seek redress sir. Like one said, It's best to see him in person. So you should see him in person first and explain things reasonably. Like the money you probably borrowed and spent in advance, subsituted for the money you'll get paid for working at your new job. If he proves unconcerned then you should seek redress and let him pay for reparations. That is fair and just.

Moreover do your research on the nigerian constititution regarding employer and employee. I can't quote now. Just check what it says and know your right as an employee in this country. Your employer isn't above the law of this green country. When you involve the law, he'll be fined for your freedom. He shouldn't just go scot-free like that unless you have become very acquainted with him. And even if you are, he should show at least a spattering of empathy for your condition .

My senior sis just graduated from unizik as a doctor and now she feels I should also do medicine.

My sis got admission in 2014 with Jamb score of 266.
9 years in university and she's out with distinctions in five subjects or courses.
Now she'd be going for housemanship in which she'd be paid and after that Nysc.
She said if she's lucky to work in a hospital run by WHO then she might be going abroad very soon.
She is like my role model. She got the highest jamb score in our house as at then and my parents were praising her.
I decided I was going to pass her score and 8 years later(2022), I got 299 which is 33 points more than hers.
Now she has distinctions, will I also get distinctions if I leave Engineering which is my comfort zone and go for medicine?

The reason you feel you might not get the job in engineering is because you sound like one who lacks the practical skill needed in this field as well. If you're good in the aspect of theory it doesn't stop you from engaging in the field even as a professor or pundit. If this is the case, go for engineering. And work to build your practical skill. Your knowledge of theory and practical would take you farther.

Hello, someone I know is trying is trying to get on to lasu with DE. Got an upper credit but the matter is for this person, their parent decided to use the help of someone with connection over there. The person requested 400k.

The screenshot is proof. Few days ago I applied for a GT card. One thing I'm sure of, applying for dom card at a bank pays more than aplying for a virtual card from apps where you don't even know their location to file a complaint in person.

The physical card just feels better. I'm not saying the virtual card isn't a good idea . But customer support is terrible and many cases of a failed business/app service...

It is a messy situation out there. I left the Gt banking hall with so much anger that they wanted to Exploit me of my little money.

Someone recommended ALAT by WEMA to me somewhere online. Next day I headed to the Wema Bank branch in my neighbourhood.
Was told to download the ALAT app and the staff helped in configuration of the app. I was very happy that I have found a solution at last.

I clicked the Cards tab and behold a Shocker was starring at me on my face. See pictures below.

Maybe I will just go back to Gtbank on Monday morning next week and pay the fuucckking fee.

Try GT. Keep up with them because I think they are for real. I also think the total you need to start a dom account with them is a total of 11k.

7k which translates to $13 as you said for the card. I was also told this at my branch. Then 4k for yearly maintenance.

Beause I was told I'll be notified when the card is ready, I suspect that's why I haven't been charged of the 7k or gotten any notifications yet to come pick my card up at my branch. So I plan on going there soon enough or when next I get the time.

I think you'll get the card without any hassle if you have the money. Don't worry about the money involved. It should be worthwile investing the whole said amount to get the card. You could get it at last. I understand how it feels when you need the card right away. Haha.. hope to update you if I get mine. Goodluck then!

To get Gtbank dollar card, their cashier said that they will deduct around $13 from my account for getting the card and around 4k for yearly maintenance. Please is it okay to get this or there are better options elsewhere in other banks.

Few days ago I got deducted of about 5k but around 4700 roughly from my naira account after I applied for the card. It's been 2 weeks since I applied and I feel like I am getting impatient but I am trying to be bent on keeping my cool.

It had me thinking today if my card application becomes unsuccessful, what would happen to the money that got deducted. Maybe I would sue the bank? Just kidding! That's why I'm patient and pray there's nothing like that that would happen in the process.

I also thought of appying for the same dollar card else where. But I don't know just if it's the best plan yet.

Though I got domciliary acct number with GT, but the card means more than having a dom account, to me.

So I've been looking for a payment solution for my online transactions. I think I like Trans Wise which all looks like a decent way to send and recieve abroad even though later on I discovered some negative reviews. I came across Cash Ex recently. I thought they were a scam because they didn't have a website but I was wrong after I discovered it and discovered they were actually a startup. I don't even understand how they work because I didn't find their blog to give me more information I need. Do they offer a routing number? I don't know!

And that's my aim. I really want a payment solution offering me a routing number for USD transactions and perhaps the IBAN too.

Currently, I also need a new paypal acct which I've been working on lastweek. Sadly, I was asked for my ssn which I couldn't provide. I think paypal's policy and system has changed asking to email them to alternatively open an account for governemnts who don't provide the ssn stuff.
