It is people like you that have allowed terrorism to eat deep into our country all because of religion. There's nothing Islamic about terrorism, Muslims are over 1billion worldwide and they have been condemning these terrorists activities. They(Muslims) have the highestcasualties. The Quran as well quoted that there is no compulsion in religion. People can convert to any religion they like. Let us stand together and fight these common enemies of humanity.
CareerRe: What Skills Have You Learnt That Can Earn You Money? by princemeadow(m): 11:15am On Jun 18, 2016
vikel2104:

The economic situation of the country leaves us with no option than to cater for ourselves in every honest way possible. A lot of youths have decided to learn a skill and most of them eventually develop these skills to levels where it generates a reasonable amount of income for them.
Presently I am in a paid employment but I am also taking some courses in business management because I see myself managing a business soon.
A guy I know who recently finished his NYSC program is currently teaching people programming and website design which he learnt during his service year. Learning skills like these can be very profitable when there is no available white collar job, in fact, one can make a livelihood out of it.
My barber is someone who learnt the skill even before going to the University. He opened the shop with his older brother. He was a teenager at that time and along with his brother, they kept doing the business. That did not however stop their education. I don't know how they did it but both of them still kept on with their schooling. His older brother got admission into the university while he continued the business. As his brother was about to graduate he also got admission into the university. With both of them very busy, they had to employ another person to take care of the business. Now both of them have degrees and the barbing business is still on.

So you see that one can help himself with the little skills he acquires and most can be acquired at little or no cost apart from your determination. It does not matter whether you're a graduate or not because your destiny is not wrapped in your certificate.

So, I want to throw the question to you, what skills are you acquiring now or have you acquired that has helped you or is helping you now.

Share so that others can learn or get encouraged..

This thread is for those who have no option than to wait for a Visa number to become available before they can immigrate to the USA,
I am referring to nairalanders in the F1, F2a, F2b, F3 and F4 category.

Most of us have bookmarked the bulletin located here
http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/english/law-and-policy/bulletin.html

which tells where processing is currently
Unfortunately, we are the rare set who will most likely be rejected a non-immigrant visa even if we have genuine reasons to travel and come back,

Today, department of state released an upcoming visa bulletin for the month of september 2015 and this time, it appear the queue is moving faster, for August 2015, it was for those before Nov 1 2007, for Next month, it will be for those before Dec 15 2007. that is 1 and half month which is not bad.
I will try to update this list once it is released, i will update the one that pertains to Nigeria only

Categ.------Jan.2016------Feb.2016------Mar.2016----Apr.2016-----May.2016

F1---------15MAY08------08JUL08------08AUG08-----22SEP08-----22NOV08
F2A-------01AUG14------01SEP14------22SEP14------22OCT14-----01NOV14
F2B-------01APR09------15MAY09------22MAY09-----15JUN09-----01SEP09
F3--------01AUG04------01OCT04------15OCT04-----22NOV04-----01DEC04
F4--------22APR03-------08JUN03------01JUL03------22JUL03-----22JUL03

Let us engage on this thread, for those who are current and have been invited, please share your experiences, procedures, etc
If you have questions for the visa officers here, please visit their respective threads and not this.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: if your petitioner filed for you as a legal permanent resident, and the petitioner later becomes a US citizen, Please notify your petitioner not to change your status from F2B to F1 as you can see that F2B is faster

For those who have relatives in the USA and who dont know, your relative can file for you if you fall in any of this category and you sponsor(s) is/are 125% above poverty line

First: (F1) Unmarried Sons and Daughters of U.S. Citizens.

Second: Spouses and Children, and Unmarried Sons and Daughters of Permanent Residents.

A. (F2A) Spouses and Children of Permanent Residents.

B. (F2B) Unmarried Sons and Daughters (21 years of age or older) of Permanent Residents.

Third: (F3) Married Sons and Daughters of U.S. Citizens.

Fourth: (F4) Brothers and Sisters of Adult U.S. Citizens.

Mods, please let this thread live.

Politics15 Things To Know About The The Single Treasury Account TSA. 1. TSA Refers To T by princemeadow(op): 12:56pm On Mar 09, 2016
15 things to know about the The Single Treasury Account TSA.

1. TSA refers to Treasury Single Account, a public accounting system using a single account, or a set of linked accounts by government to ensure all revenue receipts and payments are done through a Consolidated Revenue Account (CRA) at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

2. The pilot TSA scheme commenced in 2012 using a unified structure of accounting for 217 government Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs, for accountability and transparency in public fund management.

3. All government MDAs remit their revenue collections to the CRA through their individual commercial banks on a fee-for-service remuneration basis.

4. Although all monies earned by the federal government through value added tax (VAT), customs duties, immigration and other charges, are supposed to be paid into the CRA, a few exceptions border on accounts operated by joint venture partners with government, like oil mining leases (OMLs) in the oil and gas industry.

5. Deposit Money Banks (DMBs) are allowed to maintain revenue collection accounts for MDAs, but all collections must be remitted to the CRA at the end of every banking day; that is MDAs’ accounts with DMBs must be at zero balance at the end of every banking day.

6. TSA allows government banking to be unified, to enable the relevant stakeholders, such as the Ministry of Finance and Accountant General of the Federation to have full oversight of all cash flows across different bank accounts.

7. The different TSA account types include main account; subsidiary or sub-account; transaction account; zero balance account; imprest account; transit and correspondence accounts for different transaction purposes.

8. TSA helps check incidence of multiple accounts operated by government MDAs for collection and spending of government revenues.

9. TSA will ensure adequate monitoring of government revenue receipts and expenditures and block leakages, as no MDA is allowed to keep any operational bank account.

10. TSA will help check incidence of idle cash lying over extended periods in bank accounts held by spending MDAs, while government continues to borrow to execute its budgets.

11. Under TSA, DMBs using public sector funds deposited by MDAs to make free profits will not be possible.

12. To pay money under TSA, depositors make payment to a transit account in a commercial bank and the funds are automatically remitted to the CRA in the CBN at regular intervals, say at the end of the business day or at more frequent intervals

13. Payments through the TSA follow an electronic system, with direct payments or deposits to the bank account of the beneficiary MDA.

14. MDAs registered on the electronic payment platform, or CBN Payment Gateway, through the Settlement Centre, Funds Department, Office of the Accountant General of the Federation are granted access to funds collected on their behalf at the CBN.

15. The TSA scheme covers all MDAs as well as other institutions and parastatals that collect revenues and monies payable to FGN, including all forms of receipts, refunds, operating surpluses, transfers, donations, over-payment, taxes and customs duties, etc.

one tenth of our needs, and to solve that we needs more dolars for equipments
and other things.many of all this people you see going to other city to buy goods,
is not that those citys, are industrialized, the are just going to people who still have old stocks,
and when that finishes, the will have no choice than to start importing .and inflation we be the order

Prority is given to importation of plants and machineries. Pls, this is a good omen for Nigeria. FYI I'm starting tooth pick production very soon.

Nothing hiding that will not come to light. Nigerians are so obsessed with money that when they hear about a high figure they start shouting. Its all about poverty. For the rich know that money can neither be created no destroyed, rather it move from place to place. There can not only me traced but will create vacuum to the quantity of its weight when moved from place place.

For instance the massive move of money in our stock exchange has crippled the sector. If this money where so moved our economy should have suffered as far back as the middle of the gej tenure.

Someone is so shocked by the economic recession worldwide that he may not fulfill his promise and hence want to trade blame.
