Business / Coinex Expands User Base And Engages Nigerian Crypto Community At MBB by PrinceRey(m): 8:53am On Sep 07
CoinEx, a prominent cryptocurrency exchange, recently took part in the Moov Blockchain Bootcamp in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

The event attracted more than 500 participants, including crypto enthusiasts, developers, and individuals with a keen interest in technology. The bootcamp served as an ideal opportunity for CoinEx to connect directly with the Nigerian crypto community, expand its user base, and provide educational outreach.

Engaging the Crypto Community

CoinEx made strategic preparations for the event by organizing and briefing an on-ground team. This team was well-equipped to interact with attendees, particularly those who showed interest in the CoinEx booth. The team guided individuals through the sign-up process, addressing any concerns or issues they encountered. Thanks to this proactive approach, CoinEx onboarded over 170 new users, eager to delve into cryptocurrency trading.

Teaching Trading Techniques on the CoinEx Platform

A key highlight of the bootcamp was a trading workshop that utilized the CoinEx platform to instruct participants on Technical Analysis (TA) and Fundamental Analysis (FA). Renowned crypto traders led live sessions, using projectors to demonstrate trading strategies in real-time. CoinEx representatives were on hand to provide hands-on guidance, helping numerous participants fund their CoinEx accounts and start trading immediately.

Educating and Attracting Participants

CoinEx maximized its stage time at the bootcamp to educate the wider audience about cryptocurrency and highlight the unique benefits of using the CoinEx platform. Interactive discussions and games were employed to engage participants, with giveaways used to further captivate their attention and encourage sign-ups.

CoinEx's Involvement in Developer Activities

CoinEx played a significant role in the developer-focused activities at the bootcamp. During negotiations, CoinEx secured its position as the mandatory platform for developers to receive rewards after programming and deploying codes on the Aleo blockchain. This initiative led to the creation of over 100 new CoinEx accounts, further bolstering the platform's user base.

A Resounding Success for CoinEx

Overall, CoinEx's participation in the Moov Blockchain Bootcamp was a resounding success. The event enabled CoinEx to strengthen its presence in the Nigerian crypto market and significantly expand its user base. By engaging directly with the crypto community, educating participants on trading techniques, and fostering partnerships with developers, CoinEx demonstrated its commitment to empowering individuals in Nigeria with accessible and secure cryptocurrency trading options.

I hope this oga is getting dollar at N165 because if he getting it at N1300, he won't be saying this.

We are finished as a nation, that's the truth & the judiciary just nailed the coffin.

Anybody that thinks otherwise is in pure deciet of him/herself.

My advice to everyone out there, just do everything you can to get your income from outside this country because by December, dollar will be close to N1800.

If there's anything that the Judiciary has affirmed is that as long as Nigeria is concerned, do everything possible to win the elections whether it's by hook or crook because the fact is once you win, there's nothing that can prove otherwise.

I just hope Nigerian youths can learn this and start working towards 2027 because at the end of the day, if they don't fight to snatch the country from these entitled old-heads, then, the people known as Nigeria are finished.

The hope of this country lies at the ballot and the youth must start the process of forcefully collecting their country back in 2027 through hook or crook at the ballots.

The youths must rig the 2027 elections.

It is so baffling that in the light of what seems glaringly disgraceful to us as a people, someone like this still has the shamelessness to even say something like this.

You are a disgrace to even yourself in that you are consciously fighting against the progress of the nation.

GeneralPula:
In reaching the conclusion, court emphasizes that it's expressing no view on the merits of Mr.Abubakar's claim against President Tinubu or his graduation from CSU or on the validity of Nigeria election. Nor the court is taking any position on what any of the documents or testimony from CSU May or may not likely show.
Lol. Thank you Mr.Judge. Atiku will not like this at all. He wanted court to take position..

Nairaland / General / Coinex Updates On Recent Hot Wallets Hack by PrinceRey(m): 10:11am On Sep 16, 2023
At 21:20 UTC+8 on September 12th, CoinEx’s Risk Control System detected anomalous attacks on several hot wallets that store assets for our exchange. Here are the details of the hack, our investigation progress, security measures, our commitment to users, and our future priorities.

Initial findings point to compromised private keys for hot wallets that temporarily store the exchange's assets to facilitate transactions as the root cause. Specific causes are still under examination.

In response to the hack, our teams have swiftly implemented a series of emergency measures over the last 48 hours:

1. Suspended all deposits and withdrawals and implemented an emergency shutdown of the hot wallet server.
2. Transferred remaining assets to secure cold storage
3. Rebuilt and deployed new wallet architecture
4. Initiated rigorous investigations into the attack, led by CoinEx wallet team and security team
5. Contacted peer exchanges to freeze related assets

Our Founder and CEO Haipo Yang has also expressed his sincere regrets about the incident to affected users via his personal Twitter account. He has also pledged that the team is working diligently to promptly restore services and reassured that user funds will not be impacted.

Gathering feedback across our communities in 15 languages, we are fully aware that users are concerned about withdrawal service restoration, compensation for stolen assets, and our security plans moving forward. Hence, we would like to address the concerns one by one in order to provide full transparency to our valued users:

Services and Operations
- We aim to finalize wallet upgrades next week, after which withdrawals will gradually resume in phases upon passing stringent security checks. Our team is currently focused on building and deploying an entirely new and robust wallet system to handle activities within the 211 chains and 737 assets.
- As each of our product lines operates independently with its own risk control system, the security incident that happened to CoinEx will not impact the others. Please rest assured in continuing to use CoinEx’s other products and services.

Losses and Compensations
- Total losses from the incident are still being calculated. As of now, estimated losses are approximately $70 million USD. However, this only represents a small portion of our total assets.
- We solemnly pledge to compensate all affected users 100%.
- We are formulating tailored compensation plans on a per-coin basis and will share details once finalized.

Security and Protection
- Currently, we focus on upgrading the wallet architecture, calculating losses, and freezing related suspicious addresses by coordinating with industry partners and peer exchanges.
- Regarding compensation plans for the stolen assets, we are now formulating options. The compensation will be provided on a per-coin basis, with details to follow in our official announcements later on.

The Road Ahead: Enhanced Security and Industry Collaborations

Moving forward, we will further upgrade our security and risk management systems and set up the CoinEx Safe Fund to enhance our preparedness and response capabilities for contingencies. While collaborating with security firms and industry partners, we call on the broader crypto industry to reinforce security cooperation and cultivate a healthy, stable, and sustainable development environment together.

Lastly, we would like to express our sincere gratitude for the community's support and understanding. For latest updates, please refer to our official social media channels, community platforms, and website announcements as we will promptly communicate our progress.

This time I decided to take my time and address all the previous denial concerns which was personal assets and finances.

For my SOP and LOE, i did a draft of how i wanted my SOP to look like and thanks to gcmswriters for helping with writing, reviewing my sop.

What i did differently from my previous application was that i became self sponsored, i had my mom instruct her debtor to pay the 22M he owed to my account which was what I explained in the LOE as it was a debt repayment. This of course i backed with the loan agreement docs, transfer slips.

Also paid my full tuition out of the money and also set up a GIC account to further clear any doubt that the money was just for show. After all of this i also showed an MBS of 13M in liquid cash and stated so in my LOE that i have been handed over all the money for my school and i have full control (clarifying doubts that maybe the money might not be available to me)

For the properties i used this as further proof of funds and also ties. Very important!
I did a gift deed of a duplex from my father to me to show ties and personal asset.

Can you kindly furnish me with the details of the documents you submitted?

I will really appreciate it.

Once again, Congratulations to you and your wife.

Pyale:
SOWP PPR is here!....

Hello house, please rejoice with me as my wife's PPR just dropped. We applied on June 16 2022, review started first week in August and medical was updated to pass on August 8 (did upfront medical). Bvl letter sent on August 17th, and ever since then, no update!

Although we were worried why BVL was sent without PPR, we were calm as the application has been processed faster than we expected (65 wks processing time as at the time we submitted in June)

But on seeing the message that @Kam3 posted this morning that her/his PPR already dropped, I was motivated to contact IRCC since Kam3 submitted his/her application in July while we submitted June.

I immediately wrote an email to IRCC, explaining that we were yet to hear back from them since BVL was sent. I immediately received a confirmation email that I will be responded to in 5 working days. Since it's late here Canada, I was just about going to bed when my wife called that I should check her gmail for an email from IRCC.

Lo and behold, PPR message has dropped! That was just like 28 mins after I sent the email to IRCC.

I am happy to provide details of necessary docs that were submitted if anyone is interested in that. I am also happy to provide guidance for any future SOWP applicants. Meanwhile, my wife and I got married in December 2021, and I returned to Canada in January 2022. She just finished her undergraduate studies last month, so this good news is coming at the right time!

I want to use this medium to return all thanks and praises to Almighty God who facilitated my wife's SOWP.

I also want to thank everyone on this platform who has been so helpful in responding to messages, and providing necessary guidance on the SOWP application. Without your help and testimonies here, we wouldn't have been able to put forward a very strong application.

And for those of us still waiting for a decision, yours is next! Regularly pray about your application and don't lose hope.

And just an advice, when sending message to IRCC, be humble, praise them first, acknowledge that you understand they are dealing with lots of applications before making your request.

Thank you, Master JESUS!!!

With the current state of the economy, if you are a small and medium business owner, you'd agree with me that you need to make more money now and that can only be achieved by selling more right?

What if I showed you a simple way to do so on TikTok?

Within the last 8 weeks, we at Squeezed have helped 7 business owners reach more people, sell more, and even make an extra income from their business with our little simple GO VIRAL FORMULA.

Now, we want to help only 30 business owners grow their small businesses within the next 4 weeks by reaching more people, making more sales & even making from 50k monthly asides their business sales.

Only 30 people would be selected and they get to work with our in-house 'TIKTOK FOR BUSINESS TEAM'. This is a follow-up to the pilot program we initiated with 7 business owners in the last 8 weeks.

Please note, only 30 people will be selected and the free consultation/interview session would help in our selection of these 30 people.

If you would like to be a part of the program, kindly check the flyer below for more information and registration.

Hmmnn, quite a lot you have penned down here both in insults to a whole ethnic group as well as in body-shaming them too.

You must have a thing for the IGBOS.

Well, just to inform you, I am not Igbo nor Hausa.

I'm a Nigerian.

I have never been interested in the zoning of the leadership of Nigeria for any reason whatsoever because Nigeria is never more tribal than the USA but the USA does not put tribal sentiments in the face of leadership.

I believe that the best and most equipped Nigerian at any time should lead the country and if it's only 1 tribe that can produce that individual, so let it be till other tribes can produce someone of equal or better pedigree.

Now here's my problem, it's time up for the old cargoes and those who have wrecked this nation for their gains and pockets. Atiku is a no-go area for me and so is Tinubu.

These 2 fellows have accumulated so much wealth through the polity of this nation at the expense of our future and we want to give them another opportunity to finally wreck us beyond repair?

I believe that Osinbajo or Peter Obi should be given the chance to lead us and let's see how they'll do too.

Besides that, you sounded more like a tribal bigot and narcissistic chauvinist earlier on in your submissions but that's by the way sha.

I hope I made my point clear, you goat-headed, birdbrained, dumb, ill-advised piece of chunk who's not even worth the dynamite it'd take to blow you to hell.

I think you do not know the meaning of the word greed because if you did, you'll at least be right with its application and not fumble in it's misapplication.

That the dying, unhealthy, weak, frail & unfit Tinubu's desire to become President is not seen by you as greed but Osinbajo's clear cut and well-articulated vision to turn this nation around if given the opportunity is termed GREED by you is very disgusting to the eyes by someone of your caliber and exposure.

If with what we are going through as a nation, you think in your wildest imaginations that Tinubu will bring any succor if he'll even win the general elections, then you will need to be humble enough to take a walk into the nearest sanitarium close to you and check yourself in clearly telling the experts there of your disability with processing information and deducing the right way of thoughts out of it.

It's folks like you that have made it possible for clueless fellows like that to take over this country and steer us into deep messes when we should have taken the bold step to chase them out of anywhere close to the corridors of power.

My disgust is about his sense of entitlement to this nation.

Like he owns every right to Nigeria more than anyone will ever do.

If he doesn't know, the game has changed even if he wins the primaries in APC, he will lose the general elections because what he just did is slap all Nigerians in the face with that statement and make us all look foolish.

We couldn't make our choice so Tinubu installed his own candidate on over 140 million Nigerians.

You know they say that whoever the gods want to destroy, they first make him mad and Tinubu's madness just started.

He shot himself in the foot before the whole country and killed any chance he ever had of becoming the President of this country.

MASTAkiLLAh:
I watched a video of Tinubu in Ogun state yesterday where he made disparaging comments against President Buhari and other politicians including the Ogun state governor.

There's freedom of speech I agree but Tinubu should remember that politicians are a very vindictive specie of human beings, you might be the one who brought them to power but insulting them might force them to exercise that power on you.

So my question once again, is Tinubu ready for this fight he started? He who comes to equity must come with clean hands.
