I see people that agree that it is ok for this pastor to take this gift keep comparing his gift to the gifts the Christ received. However this MEN is no Jesus Christ how many thinks this pastor was born of this earth for one purpose only to die for our sins? See by no means do the bible say God want Christians to live poorly however one would be wise not to make a lucrative money making business out of the word of God the bible spoke of these very issues for the end of times it says men will become lovers of money and this pastor is fitting the mold and for the people that say it is none of our business this is all of Christianitys business when a man can aquire such great wealth through the word of our God and spend it on something so unnecessary and our fellow Christians are still starving it is a unholy perversion of what Christianity is all about. |
Lol I live in America and generalizing one group for a fews action is becoming a thing of the past if a Igbo man steals from his job most of America will not discard the whole tribe as thiefs we would just say that one idiot is a thief for the most part. We Americans are trying to move past this ignorance and Nigerians will do well to follow. For example Muslim extremist took our towers on 9/11 for a minute we all had the notion that Muslims were terrorists but we quickly came to our senses as a nation and realized all Muslims didn't plan this most are peaceful and some died right beside us that day as our coworkers, neighbors and our friends. |
[Well shame on these Nigerian churchs the word of God should never become a profit making business but to each his own this pastor will have to meet his maker one day and I hope God ask him why would he take such a expensive gift and turn a blind eye to his starving country men lol Im sure God is going to need a better answer then this so called man of God has given so far.quote author=Cyberknight]I think all this noise about buying a private jet is all nonsense. In Nigeria, churches are a business. A big profitable business. And like any other business, when excess profit is generated, the shareholders and directors can decide on how to dispose of the excess profit. In this case, they decided to buy the MD/CEO a private plane. There is nothing wrong with that. That's business. If you have a problem with that, then stop patronising his business, but don't take issues with how the shareholders spend their profits.[/quote] |
Cunninlingus: Where are the Nairaland Mujaheddin? Let them come and defend their religion as a peaceful, tolerant one.Thats not fair I am not Muslim in fact I am Christian and you can't say this is how all Muslims are. What about the radicals of Christianity are we to believe that all Christians are like them? Boka Haram are terrorists and they should be labled as such my good friends in fact they are my neighbors a Muslim family they are some of the most caring individuals I know the husband fixed my car when it was broke down and the wife drove me to work until I can get the money to purchase the parts |
emusmith: You are either a Muslim or atheist. He is better than your your poor Imams...I don't expect anything reasonable from ur types. go to bed.If I believed God willed this man to have a private jet while 70 percent of the people around him lives in poverty then I would stop believing in God as well this man is doing what he wanted to do not the Christian thing to do but I can look past his type because, men do not determine my salvation nor do any church or preacher. A man of God hahaha ask yourself's with a true man of God take such a expensive gift when all around him there are people starving? |
olivertwist: A liar begins with making falsehood appear like truth, and ends with making truth itself appear like falsehood.I have a home large enough to accommodate over night guest but it is still only a 3 bedroom far from a mansion which your trying to twist this scripture to mean. Didn't Jesus borrow a donkey? That doesn't show the signs of a man rolling in money with outrageous spending habits. |
As long as there are commercial flights in the air nobody needs a private jet a private jet is something that should be earned through wealth acquired by work not wealth aquired by contributions to the church if thats the case then the church should own the jet and the members should have access to it as well. |
Well lets say the pastor knew little about the jet and it was his wife's doing, remember when Eve gave Adam the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden now I am not saying a private jet is forbidden but is it the Christian thing to do by accepting this gift when you have fellow Christians in Nigeria living in poverty? Jesus gave his life for all of mankind but this pastor would rather acquire a private jet instead of helping more fellow Christians. |
xcubed: Stick to the topic and stop talking because others are! what do you mean Jesus would have fixed the road? Where is your brain? Because he was bought a Jet now means he should carry the load of the Government? Better learn to stop arguing blindly And yes he gave reasons why he needs a private jet, if that reason doesn't appease anyone all you can do is talk and talk. What was the reason for the private jet because I didn't understand any of them please? |
Its a pity all these people on here claiming to be religious Muslims and Christians alike all doing the devils work by furthering hate through their keyboards. The men Joshua who allegedly committed and admitted to these crimes can say he is Christian all he wants to but that doesn't mean its true and the churchs who purchased the parts if true can say they are churches of God again that doesn't mean its true. If one Yoruban man admits to cannibalism it doesn't mean all Yorubas chow down on human flesh. What I noticed is Nigerians do a lot of generalizing by Tribes and religion instead of individualizing. |
A 100 peoples school fees lol if he would take the money it cost to purchase and maintain a jet he could pay a 1000 peoples school fees and still have money left over. If this pastor had any dignity he would return the jet the country as a whole has 70 percent of people living in poverty and Im sure its not only people from the top 30 percent in his congregation. I mean he claimed to serve God all those years affectivly without a jet whats the use of one now? |
So what if this man sold human remains to a few pastors or even churches that doesnt make Christianity as a whole bad your talking about one of the largest faiths in the world of course your going to have a few ungodly fakes among them. Thats like saying all Muslims are radicals and want to strap a bomb to their self and kill a bunch of people. |
majour: true, some ladies love the bad guys, dy like bin treated as trash, i gt it nw, thanxAnd some men like the bad girls thats why they spend a lot of time cheating on their good wife. |
I will tell you why it is because, nobody wants a boring guy for one and two we like the challenge meaning we all want to tame the man that no other woman could tame and three bad guys are more fun. however thats not every woman there are quit a few that go for the good guys. ![]() |
Gross who wants to eat another human |
Those are commen sense things you shouldn't call anybody fat or ugly whether they are a man or a woman. If you can't pick out something nice to say about a person you shouldnt say anything at all. We are all Gods children no matter or size our looks. |
I wonder how he would feel if his wife married a hansom white man an had 2 babies by the white man to get papers. |

I am a American not in Indianapolis but most of our city's are equally beautiful but we have our fair share of not so great cities. |
ueskman: who is ruling the world? Is it God or Devil? give comment with reasons.I think the Devil is ruling the world in Matthew 4:8-11 the devil offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the world if he do a act of worship to him. So one has to wonder could the devil offer Jesus all the kingdoms of the world if he did not own them? |
carefreewannabe: I really wish you well. Thanks you live in you learn when I first met him I Immediately put up a red flag because, here in the US they mainly report the bad things out of Nigeria like con men and green card seekers so when I set up plans to visit Nigeria last year my brother who works for the court system here insisted that my boyfriend let him run a background check and my boyfriend sent all 7 of his names and copies of his official documents he came back clean correct address no criminal pass legit business and unmarried |
carefreewannabe: worth thinking about ...The Nigerian man I am dating is Christian and I am thinking he is not married at least thats what the background check my brother ran on him came back and if I do move to Nigeria and he decided he wants a second wife I would just pack up and move home if I didn't agree. |
I have no sympathy for the white wife she knew what she was getting herself into before she did the deed but now she wants to change her position in the matter. If you lie and scheme to keep a man then you deserve what you get when he leaves you. However I feel sorry for all the kids involved and the Nigerian wife they are all the innocent this woman stayed in Nigeria raising your kids alone with hopes that her husband was making a better life for her family while all along you had started a new family. You owe your first wife the truth she deserves the truth. |
timifakay: She needed a man in her life, here he was ready to do anything for a permit, she got what she needs from him already (children), now she can do all she wants since his job for her is done, i wont be surprised if the European woman lets out his secret claiming that he didn't inform her (about the Naigeria based family) before they got married.Lol she will he is basically stuck between a rock in a hard spot from the way he described her the European woman would rather see him thrown in jail then deported before she would see him with his Nigerian family. |
