Youtook: Haha. This just made me laugh. I thought I was the only one in this situation. I guess they just need lots of encouragement. My husband isn't any different. I've pushed for almost everything so far on this journey. The current one is getting him to study for IELTS or even follow up on his ECA. Hmmmm! God will give us wisdom. Seems like our husbands are in the same WhatsApp group. |

DanMisla: @njbybrthnly I had to go reconfirm that it took you 21 days to get the attestation, after the results came out. This...isn't sth I understand, esp when compared to IELTS! I'm relearning patience, honestly. It can be quite frustrating. Results takes about 2 months. Attestation almost a month. That's 3 months of waiting. Makes nonsense. They should start this TCF in Lagos abeg. |

jhoci: When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad. - Psalm 126:1-3
Finally, it's PPR!! Your mum's part made me smile. Congrats |

nnysmuse: Landing story
Day of departure: hmmm, we all woke up early as the flight was in the afternoon. There were bags to pack as per family of three- 6 luggages, 3 hand luggages and 2 back packs. We loaded the car and off we went. My husband and son decided to get a fresher haircut on our way since we were very early. They went to the barber shop and by the time they were done it was past 9am. Okay o but everywhere in our estate was blocked. No movement. As in stand still. Village people 0 - @nnysmuse 10 Imagine them wanting you to miss your flight. Cannyland will favour you |

softandmoist: If your name is Gbenga, you live in Regina and was running a few weeks ago because you were freezing and a white woman gave you a ride and took your phone number, thank you for being a good ambassador of Nigeria. You're the first Nigerian she ever met and you left an excellent impression which is why she lit up when I told her my nationality and was helpful to me. Thank you. Now this cracked me up. Gbenga in Regina thank you oh |

DanMisla: Hi,
Lemme try to give back to this thread, which really helped. My results (finally!) from Abuja, 10 Dec: Comp. Ecrite C1 - 240/300 (CLB ; Comp. Orale B2 - 260/360 (CLB 7); Exp. Ecrite C1 - 390/450 (CLB 9); Exp. Orale B2 - 329/450 (CLB 7)
Then, I can't get over the fact that we have to wait 6-8 weeks to get the results; the manual said 2-4. Its ridiculous. I hope you manage your anxiety better than I did!
Donc viola, happy to answer any questions. Best wishes to those sitting this weekend! Thank you so much for this |

Scard: Tanks for the explanation @Mamaroon, may your next exam be favourable to you.
Also, is anyone here considering the TCF Exam? Alliance Francaise Lagos is not taking it yet, but when I called, the lady said if they have enough people making the request they can decide to start taking it.
Please, if you are interested, let's know ourselves and plan a way forward.
My main reason is the fact that you can pick up your results within 15 days as against TEF which is 2 months That's much better but I don't plan writing till June. Just started French lessons this month |

joo2018: It is a complex something. Canada issues 2 types of work permits: Open work permits and Employer-specific work permits. Nigerians are eligible for either if they meet the criteria.
So basically for employer-specific, the agent must guarantee you a job with a LMIA. Thank you for this detailed explanation. |

czaratwork: Moreover is it not here we learnt Nigerians are not qualified for work permit? Anyone that raises work permit issue here is always told that he is about to be defrauded or has it changed now? The much i know is that Nigerians are only qualified for work permit after graduating from school here.
This is my belief too. I've been discouraging someone from paying an agent 1.5m for work permit. Told him to apply for EE but he's just stubborn. Pls can someone confirm Nigerians can get work permit? The 1.5m is paining me even if it's not my money. |
