With this question (in the bolded) you are just confirming what i'm pointing out - the difference in mental bent towards realtionship. One thinks more about what (especially material things) the guy is offering so has a hard time offering any material thing to him the other does not dwell so much on what material thing the guy can offer and in most cases knows fully well she will be the one offering more material things yet goes ahead into the relationship.
