chikk: @mods, pls, what the hell are you waiting for to delete the picture above?

@pringozie, if you have no respect for the dead, respect womanhood because without it, you're a nobody. How dare you post this picture here and say nonsense about her? Do you know her? Where you there when this outrageous act was carried out on her? If I'm not mistaken, from where I read about it, they said she was raped. So how dare you say such nonsense?

Don't you have human feelings? Haven't the bloggers done enough harm by not making her face blurred? Would you do this if the lady is related to you?

If you have no feelings, emotions, respect and blood flowing in your system, please, respect the fact that out of a WOMAN comes every HUMAN!!!

Rap Battles / Police Recover Weapons Of War In Kano by Pringozie02(m): 11:34pm On Mar 27, 2013
KANO — Save for the timely intervention of the Police, the ancient city of Kano would have been engulfed in another massive explosion that would have caused loss of lives and property.

The Kano State Police Commissioner, Mr Musa Daura, Thursday, told newsmen that  police intervention led to the discovery of a Golf 3 car loaded with arms, ammunition and explosives.

The items recovered from the car.
Daura told newsmen that occupants of the Golf vehicle had opened fire on a Police patrol van, but drew back when it dawned them that the fire power of the police was getting stronger than theirs. The Police Commissioner said there was no casualty on the side of the police.

The CP said: “On Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at about 213 hours, based on a tip-off, our men intercepted a Golf 3 motor vehicle with number plate AG 701 KTN in a village near Kano.

The occupants of the vehicle on sighting the patrol vehicle opened fire and immediately, our men responded with superior power, which made the occupants of the car to abandon it and escape with bullet wounds.”

According to the Police, the intention of the occupants of the car was to cause havoc, noting: “The intention of these hoodlums was to cause havoc and destabilize peace which would have led to economic and social sabotage in KanoState.

“However, my men sealed off the area with a view to identifying and arrest the fleeing suspects. We are urging members of the public to continue to support the command and other security agencies in the state to restore the peace and tranquility we have been enjoying in the state for decades.

“We also have to contribute in whatever capacity to unmask the criminals in the state and reduce crimes to the barest minimum.”

The items recovered from the car included, AK-47 rifle, assault rifle, 238 live ammunition, rocket launcher, AK 47 magazines, seven Turkey oil can stuffed with remote-controlled bombs, two cylinder remote-controlled devices, 14 hand grenades, four rolls of wire connector and 12 power sources.

Politics / Boko Haram In Lagos by Pringozie02(m): 8:14am On Mar 22, 2013
Joint operatives from Department of State Security Service (DSS) and the military have arrested a Chadian with explosives, arms and ammunition in Ijora Badiya on Lagos Mainland.

The operation and the arrest of the Chadian with bombs sent shivers down the spines of residents of the area who were suspecting that the dreaded terrorist group, Boko Haram, may have finally arrived in Lagos.

Daily Sun reliably gathered that the operation follows information from residents of Ijora Badiya that a strange man had been making some suspicious movements in the area. The suspect whose identity remains a secret for now, was alleged to have rented a mini-flat in the area since the past one month.

The man was said to have been making some suspicious movements and after last Monday’s multiple bombings of the Luxury Bus Park in Kano metropolis, residents of Badiya became afraid and reported him to the DSS. The DSS was said to have mounted surveillance on the man and after confirming the fears of their informants, they contacted the military.

The efforts of the DSS and the military paid off as they arrested the suspect. When a search was conducted in the apartment, some explosives, two AK-47 rifles and some rounds of ammunition were recovered from him. Efforts to reach the Director of Lagos State command of the DSS proved abortive, as he did not pick his call.

When contacted, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ngozi Braide, said she was not aware of the operation. However, a dependable senior police officer at Ijora Badiya who confided in Daily Sun said that the story was true. He said though the police were not involved in the operation, the force moved in after the man was taken away. The police source said: “We later came to know that the man is a Chadian.

He rented the apartment about one month now.” A resident, who simply identified himself as Nweke, said: “We are suspecting that the man may have come with the intention to plant bomb in the motor parks in Ijora. We thank God that the man was arrested and the explosives recovered from him.

Nairaland / General / Dear Nigeria by Pringozie02(m): 7:59am On Mar 20, 2013
Every Nigerian Do Something! Failure and Death ENDS Now!

On Monday 18th of March a suicide bomber detonated his car at a crowded bus station in Kano. Dozens were killed in a most horrendous way and dozens more have been injured, maimed and many are on the verge of death. Many Nigerians will live with permanent body damage due to this incident. Many homes have been destroyed, bread winners killed, wives, children, friends and no-bodies. Tomorrow, Nigeria will move on, soon the rest of us will have forgotten this. Nigeria will not even declare a day of mourning for such heart wrenching loss.

We "survivors," will continue our daily living without a memory of this event and those who fell victim of our failure as a nation. Yes, this has happened before, and nothing has changed.

Are we going to let this go by? Are we who happen to have survived still going to just allow our nation run in reckless abandon? Do we know that it could have been any one of us reading this today, thank God, that could have been killed or maimed in this horrible tragedy?

Nigerians, we whine, we talk, we complain, but obviously that is not enough. It is time that EVERY NIGERIAN DO SOMETHING. The government are not people we don't know, they are not people we are not related to. We beg them for kobo and favor, while we know and allow people in the capacity of "My Oga at The Top," who we know definitely do not have the skill's set to occupy their positions, be in charge of our safety and security. Are Boko Haram spirits? Are they not people, not human beings, that we know and see them conspiring, but we let them go without doing something? How long will we sit and patronize this decay? Is it till we are killed by it?

Dear Nigerians, this is far from a call for violence, this is a call for good works.

She and the small boy here know how to do adult things, let them pay and take care of all the responsibility. The court has no right to force the parents to pay her hospital bills. They should drop her from their insurance. It is the states baby, let them pay for it. Where do we draw thw line, I mean really? How A Police College Should Be
Recent revelations of the dilapidated state of the Premier Police training college, Ikeja have attracted the attention of many Nigerians including that President Goodluck Jonathan.

The decrepit level of training the Nigerian Police receive from have no doubt impinged on the performance of the security personnel who are currently being overstretched by the high level of insecurity in the country.

A report by the Human Rights Watch showed that Nigerians don’t trust the police; citizens generally have a bad impression of police officers because of their perceived brutality and corruption.

While on an assignment in the United States of America, Channels Television crew was privileged to visit the City of Miami Police College, an institution which specializes in the training of officers and men for the city of Miami police as well as for other police departments.

In this report we bring you the findings from one several Police training institutions – the Miami police college
