But where will the money to fund them come from? The current officers are poorly paid despite being too few in number.

In that documentary you'd observe that it wasn't the government that built the infrastructure, it was the businessmen like Rockefeller, Carnegie, Thomas, etc.

What the government did was to create the enabling environment by enacting sound economical policies and carrying them out.

There have been explosive infrastructural development in Ebonyi state but it has not transcribed into good economy.

Exactly my point and that Ebonyi people should be the case study here because Dave Umahi is one of the governors that did more infrastructures in Nigeria buh his people are unemployed and hungry.
So my question now is,why? Simple because he doesn't have foresight to think that human development supersedes any elephant infrastructural development hence the reason his mighty infrastructure have no positive impact on his people.. I rest my case..Gracias!!!!

Audio infrastructures,besides they don't utilize the money in what the money is meant for(they always loot more than 50% of the money) and secondly they're always on an elephant projects that got no immediate positive impacts on the citizens..

There is no an economy would grow without infrastructure already in place and I know you know this. Companies that left Nigeria to Ghana did that because Nigeria don't have the needed infrastructure.
1) No power supply and the price of diesel was high which would result in increase in cost of production.
2) What about refinery if we had a working refinery, we would make more money.

Peter Obi never said that infrastructures ain't an economy's driving force buh what prompted him to emphasized more on human development first was because the money they borrowed for all these so called infrastructures was looted and they're still looting it,thereby rendering the citizens unemployed,hungry and jobless.
Only one person stole #80b naira,have you check what that money would've done to Nigerian citizens or the kind of employment the money would've brought for the citizens when utilize judiciously?
You cannot borrow money and start building an elephant projects that got no positive impact on the citizens and logically,after borrowing to build railways,what happens to the railways now when insecurity is the other of the day buh you can create a favorable environment, create jobs and those people causing insecurities would gets their hands busy with some legitimate works thereby reducing the criminal activities in the society and doing so,is when your so called infrastructures will thrive via that a conducive atmosphere(which is peace) drives infrastructural developments through human development buh when there's no conducive atmosphere (insecurities everywhere) and no human development (poverty everywhere including unemployment) ,how would your infrastructure thrive? ..
Sir/madam,you cannot keep borrowing money and be using it for an elephant projects when your citizens are dying of hunger,when the employment rate is very high,when all the development indices are in negativity..
My word is that you cannot achieve any infrastructural development without achieving a human development simultaneously(and that's the problem with this APC government via borrowing to build Niger bridge,railways when the citizens are jobless,hungry and very poor)...

Let's take a garment factory for exam ..a 1 billion Naira garment factory can easily ... easily employ 2000 permanently and pay them over 80k per month ...their tax would be 12k say worse case 8k ...that's 16 million revenue from that business alone add profit tax you have around 50 million guaranteed revenue for government ...say you have around 20 garment factory funded and say 15 survive that's 750 million revenue guaranteed and 30,000 people permanently employed and reducing pressure on dollar demand for import

1 billion can build you four 50,000 capacity poultry farm ...you can look for the biggest poultry farmers and invest 1 billion each for 50 people ...or you can ask smaller farmers to form cooperatives ...do you know the effect this would have on our food security ? That's 50 billion ..this can create 2000 permanent jobs


We can do the same for fish farmers ...say 50 billion and create 3000 permanent jobs

Buying fishing trawlers for $1 million dollars and giving them to local fishermen would create employment ...50 billion can buy minimum of 75 trawlers...each can employ 15 people ...that's over a thousand people permanently ...

This is just less than half of that money used for that bridge ..half ooh ...

Doing the above n building bridge which would grow the economy more ?
