Is it just me or has anyone been receiving this 60 days reminder from NVC on several occasions? The one I received yesterday being the 1st of March is about the fifth time I would be receiving this mail since I got DQ.

Anyone with similar experience?

Well, Na to face another country.....
Ade3131:
@ Op,

I've dated 2 none Nigerian African girls. One a South African (now an ex) and the other a Tanzanian girl (the one I really want to marry). So far, They're both sweet in their respective ways but the only challenge I'm facing right now is how to get married to the Tanzanian girl and reside in her country with her because of her job which we both agreed she should keep.

Her country has a very strict law for immigrants and have Nigeria on her blacklist. Meaning people from here are required to come to Tanzania only through referral visa or what we call 'visa by invitation'. And marrying a Tanzanian woman doesn't amount to having a citizenship status like it is in other African countries, and this has been our greatest challenge right now but we both really want to end up together.

I will be glad to hear any advice you have for us please. Thank you.

Calm down lol.... You have already waited a month, whats another month

You will hear from them soon

aceville:
Alright. Thank you guys.

I've got something on my mind though. Still F11 category, priority date April, 2016.

Although I've already submitted all necessary documents for more than a month now. Can I still upload new documents in the additional documents section on NVC's submission page or should I wait instead of submitting new docs since it is already more than a month when I last submitted.

Will it affect anything or extend the timeline on my part?

I Cant say what you are thinking hasn't worked before but it is advisable to just wait a few more years and go with the entire family than risk muddling her Entire immigration process due to Impatience and dishonesty!!

Your Choice though!!!

seyifrenzy:

Thank you very much for the replies to my previous question. People who contributed have made my family more knowledgeable about the whole US Immigrant process. I say a grateful thank you to you all.

I wasnt the only one filed for. My sister was equally filed for in 2016.

However, she is now married with a-7 month old son.

On the contrary, she has not filled her DS-260 form or submitted any documents online to the NVC site.

Recently, her international passport expired and she has just paid for the renewal of her international passport to change her name to her husband's name. She has equally done her NIN in her husband's name.

Now that we understand the delay that comes with being married and having a child, she has some questions.

Her question is: does she still have the opportunity of sticking to being an F1 applicant? If yes, what are her chances? Should she do another passport and stick with her maiden name and apply as an F-1, and later on invited her husband and her son when she is in the US? She is worried about her young marriage and her fragile son.

She is the fearful type, and won't want to get into early problems with the US immigrations. I am the one encouraging her to be bold and fearless unfortunately I am not harmed with information to help her in this daredevil stunt.

Please help her. She is a sad, unemployed postgraduate in Nigeria

What can she do?

What happens after the second Notification?

princemeadow:

My PD is Jan 2007 and I received the second notification of case complete from nvc.
This notice is to inform you that your case for an immigrant visa is documentarily complete at the National Visa Center (NVC) and has been since 05-Feb-2020. NVC has received all of the fees, forms and documents required prior to attending an immigrant visa interview. Your petition is awaiting an interview appointment. At this time, no further action is required. We appreciate your patience.

Your case will remain at NVC until an appointment is scheduled, at which time we will send it to the appropriate U.S. Embassy or Consulate General. We will notify the applicant, petitioner, and attorney (if applicable) when an appointment is scheduled.

The U.S. Embassy or Consulate tells NVC which dates they are holding interviews. NVC fills these appointments on a first-in, first-out basis and is unable to predict when an interview will be scheduled.

Visa interviews at many U.S. Embassies and Consulates have been delayed as result of the global COVID-19 outbreak. For the most up-to-date information about the U.S. Embassy or Consulate's operating status, please visit their website at https://usembassy.gov.

The next communication you receive from NVC will be either a notice that your appointment is scheduled, or if an appointment is not scheduled within the next 60 days, we will send a notice confirming that your case is still in line for an interview.

Important: The applicant should not make any permanent financial commitments until they have received their immigrant visa. This includes activities such as:
- Selling a house, car or property,
- Resigning from a job, or;
- Making other travel arrangements.

Thank you for your continued patience.

Well, some country do insist on getting the home country police report, however, you can get someone to help you get it in Nigeria.

I want to be very careful with all this people promising me it can be done in Nigeria.. Cant wait for this long and then get issues due to fake documents but if anyone can recommend a trusted link perhaps i will consider!

Thank you

Once you get your Welcome Letter from NVC,

The first step is to pay required fees. (IV fee and Affidavit of Support fee). IV is $325 and AOS is $120
After you made the payment, it will take couple of days/weeks to process. (It took 2 days for me)

Once the payment process, you can start to fill out online IV application which is DS-260. One important note about DS-260 is once you submit the application you cannot edit it. So please double check your application before you hit submit. Also you will need to print out the confirmation page for the interview stage.

After the DS260 submission the civil documents tab will open up and you will need to upload scanned Passport Biographic page, marriage certificate, Police certificate (from beneficiary's home country), Birth certificate and Photograph.

Once you upload all required Civil documents you can click "Submit Documents".

For the AOS, you will need to find which I-864 form you need and download it from USCIS official website and after filling it out you will need to upload it to the NVC system. Make sure you combine all pages as one file before uploading.

If your sponsor doesn’t meet the Household income requirements, you will have an option to add joint sponsor/ household member once your payment did process. You follow same steps here as AOS.

After forms submitted, AOS uploaded and Civil documents submitted in the system. You will need to wait NVC to review your case and send you "Documentary Qualified". Also known as C C ( case complete)

Regarding your second question: I believe you’ve found the answer in between my post, you need to start uploading after filling the ds260 form.

Regarding your third question: its not advisable, it’s fraud, the US government frown at this, and the implications is severe. It has a lot of negative effects! So don’t try it.

Must the Police report be from my home country or can the present country of residence suffice?

It seems like i have to be present in Nigeria to get one and i do not plan on going back anytime soon
