I'm team jollof coconut all the way. White coconut rice is more of a Calabar thing. Not how we roll in Igboland.

Jobabori: Gone are the days of Jollof rice when I was in primary school in the 70s. Your nose will feel aroma from nearly a kilometer afar. But what they call Jolof rice now are mostly concortion with diluted smelling of white maggi, palm oil and other concortion ingredients. Only few cook real Jollof rice now Tell us what real jollof rice is. |

bigfrancis21: Very well. One thing you need to know is that any Igbo-speaking person who grew up in the east will somehow be able to understand to a certain level other different dialects from his, no matter how deep they may be. To me, Ukwuani is just another Igbo dialect like Nsukka, Abiriba etc. Well, let me not derail the thread because I am starting to already. Except Abakaleke. Everything but Ebonyi dialects. |

Revolva: truth bro you are very updated
i am an igala ...but my ancestor must be ajida...we settled down in ifeku idland in present day edo state border...to ibaji...so eventually i claimn kogi state of origin cos i can still trace to idah....even our elders said so..we do visit attah of igala..if there r festivals...i dont likebeing clled edo state....had it been my village fell ino anambra i would be more happy...to claim anbambra.....
we are closer to ebu in delta state...the ebu people decided to choose delta state due to the oil..in delta..they tought itwould favour dem...but now they are on their own in delta..around igbos...
so bro..i traveled to makurdi benue state ..i was coming to lagos...i passed through oturpko....to edumoga to otupka...to orokam to olamaboro ogugu an igala town....den about 20 mins from ogugu to enugu to obolo afor...to near...wow i observed....that these town must know how to speak both igbo n igala or idoma....
wow...i see the reason nnamdi kanu said some part of benue n kogi will go with biafra.....i know ibaji n lower idoma land igede clam may agree..cos they are all son of Eri.. BUT WHY IS IGALA LANGUAGE has element of yoruba..the language is yorubiod....i just dont know why Please, which one is Anbambra? |

9jakool: You are wrong when you assume the entire Akoko SE is Edoid speaking, which is not. Like I said Ifira and Ipesi only speak Yoruba, the maybe you are not as familiar as you say you are. Ok, what is the Edoid language spoken in Ifira because I want to know?
Also, not every towns and villages in Odinani speak a Yoruba language, some only speak Igbo. The inhabitants of Ubulu Uku claimed descendants from migrants from Ilesha for example; they are also not Olukumi, and only speak Igbo. Does it make sense to suggest that they tweaked their oral tradition to fit their present political location when they have nothing to gain. The very 9jakool. I was expecting your input in that Akoko Edo thread I made |

Kindly check page 201. Is it true that you own a 5-star restaurant in Lekki laudate? Can you make me some piping hot egusi? |

About to go down with eba. Notice the egusi oil separated from the egusi (important if you want a tasty egwusi).
