You talk ignorantly dude, study the picture below.
Good luck to you and your Babel country but never add Asa and Anioma to it because they're not interested in it and would never be.

Notice how some people are not happy that igbos said that we don’t need them. You would think this would make them happy but their reaction on this thread shows their true intentions. They wished Igbos will depend on them to form a nation.

IPOB has Really given a lot of people false image of igbos.
Honestly, I'm shocked too. Their frustration and anger on realizing that Igbos don't actually need them is like a comic relief to me.

Ships have started arriving Onitsha port as we speak, so the landlock myth has been quashed!

They talk about oil yet we have enough oil to make us self sufficient and considering that oil is now worthless in the global market and would never become vital again as the world goes green. So the oil leverage is gone too!

Now, coming to gas that has a bright future, we have it more in abundance than any other section of Nigeria!

Our region is stable, has massive human resources and the biggest remmitances coming to Nigeria.

So I wonder how anyone in his right senses would argue that Igbos need the Niger Delta minorities for anything.

You are deluding yourself, Ijaw doesn't have upper hands against any tribe in the Niger Delta and Akwa cross can not go with Igbo.
The Ijaws are the most influential minority group in the Niger Delta. P.H will be the capital of Niger Delta rep and they will take over the city and be the ones calling the shots. The likes of Asari Dokubo, Tompolo & other Ijaw militants will always be in the background to threaten any government with guerilla movements. Even their mangrove terrain and proximity to P.H will give them added advantage. They will be the new Fulanis and there is no other minority group that can threaten them.

BTW, the Akwa-Cross can stay alone or join the Niger Delta rep, it wouldn't change anything.

We need to buy any available empty lands around Onitsha for property development. This is a huge one.
You're right. Anambra state government should buy those waterfront lands and allocate them strictly for building of high rises which will make it the new CBD. This is how it is done elsewhere.

Seeing ships berthed at the Onitsha port with high rise buildings in the background would showcase Onitsha and Anambra state as an economic powerhouse. Ordinarily, watching the city from the Niger bridge could be breathtaking not to talk of when the waterfront is transformed cool

So all your noise about landlock has been destroyed completely. What next would you guys say now?

Igbos should start relocating headquarters of all markets from Lagos to Onitsha since the evil policies of making only Lagos ports functional has been quashed. Computer village and Trade Fare should be relocated to Onitsha while Ladipo should be relocated to Nnewi. Let's make East the referral point and headquarters of all commercial activities while other places like Lagos, Kano, Abuja, Benin, P.H etc. would be used as zonal centers or branches.

Kudos to Buhari for achieving this under his regime, he has done noble on this.

It's obvious you're seeing double. You were arguing with someone and I tried to correct an impression. It seems you don't check people's moniker or what. Please highlight where I stated that food is not cheaper in the North.

why are you confusing yourself? We told you that food is cheaper in the north than the south east you said no, now I told how much is 5 tubers of yam in the north, then you start talking about purchasing power. Let me tell you something, food is cheaper in North because majority of our local food are farm in the north. This is facts you can't deny.
I know how many trailers of cow that are being transported on a daily basis from north to south.
I know how many trucks that transport Irish potatoes and carrots from jos to south
I know how many trucks that convey oranges from benue to the South on a daily basis.
Onions, corn, rice, tomatoes etc are produced majorly in the north.
I know you have never been to the north but pls ask any of your family members who ever stayed in the north.
You're actually the one confusing yourself. I never argued with you that price of some foodstuff ain't cheaper in the North. If you studied geography, you will know that we have different vegetations, from mangrove swamps in the Niger Delta to semi desert in the North East. Now, each of these vegetations has particular crops they've comparative advantage for. While onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, cattle etc. would be naturally cheaper in the North, others like palm oil, cassava, plantain etc. would also be cheaper in the South. It may interest you to also know that some items you assume came from the North were actually from Niger and Chad. The reason why we have ECOWAS is to facilitate easy movement of goods between countries in WA. You shouldn't worry yourself about basic things like food because once your economy is bouyant, you will always be able to import enough food to augment the ones you can't produce.

I served in the North years ago and I know the region very well. Stop being so basic in reasoning.

This has been my stance on this issue.
Ikwerre, Ogba and co are as Igbophobic as Ijaws.

The right thing is for Ndiigbo to let them sort themselves out with their Ijaw brothers.

This should be common sense.
I wonder why some of our people are losing sleep over irrelevant things. We should allow things to work themselves out naturally.

In old Rivers State, the Ikwerres were in serious bondage and they remained underdogs until Bayelsa was carved out. Now, the Niger Delta rep will only elevate the Ijaws to become the new Fulanis who will control everything. Worse still, they don't believe in diplomacy rather just like the Fulanis, belligerence is their way of life and I really pity those that would be left with them. The likes of Ikwerre and Itshekiri will be at the receiving end and there would be no big brothers to save them cry cry

There is even a higher chance of Akwa-Cross joining Igbos than for them to join any nation where Ijaws will run the show. So the Akwa-Cross will either want to go with Igbos or stand alone.

We will build a high fence after Obigbo and all those minute villages claiming ethnic nationalities will be cut off so they can enjoy themselves in Niger Delta rep grin grin

We won't even entertain any last minute jostling by any of them to join us which will very likely happen, it would have become too late by then.

Don't be ridiculous, SS doesn't hate Igbo's.
Igbo's are cunning and backstabbers and we are just careful in how we deal with u.

By the way, until Nigerians break up, u will know that regions is not our problem but governance. we should vent our annoyance on L.G.A and state govt, if they didn't do anything, the FG effort won't be seen, take a look at Lagos, Kano, Portharcourt, Akwaibom which is in same country are progressing far better than other states. Anambra is doing better than Abia, blame ur state govt and LG, not Nigeria
Lol, Nigeria is the number one problem whether you accept it or not. Here in Imo State for example, we voted for someone we believe will perform, in the person of Ihedioha but your Nigeria removed him and replaced him with another person and we are suffering it. Such thing can't happen in a country where our destiny will be in our hands.

Do you know how much is being wasted in the name of fighting insurgency?

What about lives and properties that are being wasted by fulani herdsmen?

Do you think that someone like Ikpeazu will thrive in Biafra when 95% of Igbos hate him?

What about the menace of SARS, do you think such problem would exist in Biafran or Oduduwa when the majority of people are against it?

Would our people waste time, money and resources traveling to Lagos or Abuja before they could board flights to other countries?

Lots of evil thrive in Nigeria because one section/regions misfortune is seen like a blessing in another section/region, thus ensuring that we never pull in same direction for common good.

So Nigeria is absolutely the problem!

Food is relatively cheaper in the north, everybody know that except you.
It is all about purchasing power. Believe me, if you're well to do and earning well, you will hardly bother about little differences in price. It may interest you to know that more people are starving in that same North where food is cheaper than in the East. So it still boils down to purchasing power and standard of living.

Honestly i dont want Igbos involved in anything concerning off shore oil/gas. We have enough inland in our land to sustain us for generations.
No don't get me wrong, it's non of our business but I'm saying this based on those that claim we are attaching ourselves to them. If anyone needs the other, it is definitely not us. With us, they will have an extended coast but without us, it will be greatly reduced and they may end up losing vast offshore oil wells and infrastructure, possibly including the Bonga platform. They offer us little or no advantage whatsoever while they will obviously lose substantially without us.

This is for the record, and not for any advocacy for attachment.

Sinzumoney:
when the world is going green you are planning to start a country with oil and you think you are not mad? The amount of informal trade that goes on in Onitsha and aba if they are recorded and taxed will bring in immerse wealth. Wait do nigerians know that oil only constitute 10% of our GDP the reason that Nigeria is an oil based economy is because that is all we export. imagine how the SE will look like if all the Igbos move all their factories and industries their all the Igbos will still be exporting things made to other neighbouring countries like akwa-cross odudwa ijaw republic Ghana and other countries and it will increase our FX ( you should understand the term I'm using if your familiar with economics)
In addition to the ones you mentioned, many people do not know that remmitances alone gives Nigeria almost same amount of forex as crude oil and there are some prosperous countries that rely on remmitances to run their economy. Now, we know the people that constitute the bulk of the remittances coming to Nigeria and where they would go once the country breaks up. Nigeria is currently among the first 10 countries with highest recipients of remmitances, just behind the likes of India, China, and Philippines! We have enough oil resources in Igboland that would serve our local economy and help to keep our balance of payments in green.
PoliticsRe: Igbos Don't Need And Want SS In Biafra by Proeast2: 12:41pm On Oct 05, 2020
Another decisive issue no one is looking at, which would also play a pivotal role is the issue of offshore oil resources. No one is even looking at this but this is going to have VERY SIGNIFICANT IMPACT. Nigeria has an extended coastline which is based on our current landmass but once we break up, the Bight of Bonny i.e. the Atlantic ocean South of Nigeria will be renegotiated with Equitorial Guinea and possibly Cameroun too. Even strategic oil assets like the Bonga deep offshore could be threatened.

Once we breakup, the ocean areas that are considered ours will be reduced and shared between us and Equitorial Guinea, it becomes worse if Biafra/Igboland stands apart from Niger Delta rep, because they will end up losing vast ocean areas to Equitorial Guinea!

In essence, the Niger Delta republic even needs Igbos more than Igbos need them. Same applies to Akwa-Cross as well to an extent.

Guy stop reasoning with your emotions you didn't get what I'm saying.

Ilorin is the only town with emirate, and it's being surrounded with yoruba towns that has Oba and refused to bow down to emirates.
How will you Join ilorin (in center) to the north without causing war?

I used Anambra as example.
Nnewi and awka are in the center of Anambra. Is it possible to carve Nnewi only to Asabahuh
It's not possible.

But Onitsha and Asaba can be carved to form a state since they are both at the border.

In the case of ilorin, ilorin is not at the border but in a center surrounded by Yoruba towns.
Lol, are you sure you're not the one reasoning emotionally instead of rationally? Both Illorin and the surrounding areas i.e. present day Kwara will go to the North, this would be based on its historical affiliations. I gave you an example with Benin republic, ethnicity is not enough for in allocating regions/zones to where they would belong, otherwise Yorubas in Benin would have been in Nigeria!

I'm not saying you people can't contest it, but what I'm saying is that it could lead to war between you guys and Arewa, and they would fight like wounded lions because of their anger at Nigeria's breakup.
PoliticsRe: Igbos Don't Need And Want SS In Biafra by Proeast2:
Seerade029:
Why must we forget ilorin?
How possible, What about those towns around ilorin?

Ilorin is in the centre, there are hundreds of yoruba towns after it.

Just like saying Igbos should forget Nnewi or awka both are in the center of Anambra
You're comparing apples with oranges. Illorin and the surrounding areas may be ethnically Yoruba but they've historically belonged to Northern Nigeria. There are Yorubas in Benin republic so there is no law that says all Yorubas must join Oduduwa republic.

On the other hand, Nnewi, Awka and Anambra have always belonged to Eastern Nigeria and even prior to the creation of the regions.

Trying to force Illorin into Oduduwa could lead to war with Arewa because they would resist it and I know you people always dread such possibility grin grin

thank God, don't touch any of our states. RIVERS State, Akwa Ibom State, Edo State, Bayelsa State, Cross Rivers, Delta State.

we wan use am form our Niger Delta Republic
You're being more utopian than realistic. I can assure you or even bet with 2 million naira that Niger Delta republic will never be made up with all the 6 SS states, such a country will automatically descend into chaos and anarchy because existing fault lines will develop into earthquakes.

The only stable areas/zones are the Akwa-Cross that will most likely go their own way, Delta North/Anioma that will most likely join their Igbo brothers and Edo that would hope to lure Anioma and other parts of Delta State into forming Bendel republic with them since they wouldn't want to join Oduduwa that will dominate them completely.

Only Bayelsa and Rivers (minus the Asa/Oyigbo areas) and maybe Delta State (minus Anioma areas) will form the real Niger Delta rep. Again, the Ikwerre would be scared to go with them considering how the Ijaws treated them in old Rivers State which is likely going to happen again in Niger Delta rep which would be more or less old Rivers State. However, the Ikwerres would still end up with the Ijaws since they would be too minute to stand as a country.

That's the reality, and if you remove emotions and wishful thinking, that's how post Nigeria would be.
