If not for 1914 amalgamation, Southern Nigeria would have been as developed as South Africa. We were yoked together with savages and since then we have known no peace, no progress and no real development. I keep saying it, we will never develop as a people until we cut off these savages. Igbos have since realized the problem and are fighting to cut it off but instead of our fellow Southerners, especially the Yorubas to smell the coffee and team up with us to save our present and future generations, they keep allowing the same enemy to be instigating them against Igbos. Since history, I have never heard of any serious clash between Igbos and Yorubas in Lagos or anywhere in the SW despite our large numbers there and neither have we clashed with them in the East or Abuja or anywhere at that. However, check history and see so many clashes between them and Hausas or even between Igbos and Hausas, now the question is, why is the Hausas always fighting everyone? |
![]() They never see anything. |
ThatFairGuy1:Stop talking rubbish! I have never been an advocate of days properties when the culprits are still roaming free. The focus should be on the perpetrators and not destruction and looting of private and commercial assets like banks, malls etc. This is a thread I created on this issue https://www.nairaland.com/6196232/why-southerners-destroying-assets-instead |
ThatFairGuy1:Abo.ki spy, before you start saying trash, check this thread I created on this issue! https://www.nairaland.com/6196232/why-southerners-destroying-assets-instead |
From Lagos to Aba, Benin to P.H, Obigbo to Ibadan etc. Southerners are running riot destroying and looting their assets as a way of showing their anger. However, I don't think this idea is good at all. Why are we misdirecting our anger? Why are we causing ourselves serious damages instead of facing the perpetrators alone?! All these burning of Banks, looting of malls and shops as well as other assets is VERY WRONG! WE ARE CUTTING OUR NOSES TO SPITE OUR FACES!! The question is, who are the culprits? The answer is Nigerian government, state governors, police and army, and some politicians among others. Then shouldn't we face them and leave others? Let's press home our demands by immediately requesting for the following 1. Restructuring or Breakup 2. Resignation of all state actors who were involved. 3. Massive reduction by up to 80% of NASS salaries and allowances. Among other demands and leave all others. |
PenuelFarms:If he is smart, he should escape now he still has chance or at least go into hiding and remain quiet until calm returns. People are not happy with him at all and he is no longer the revered like in the past. |
GidiCars:You're obviously ignorant. Igbos have always championed Biafra while you guys have perpetually remained confused on what you want. Some of you claim they want Oduduwa yet others, especially your Muslims want to die on top Nigeria matter. Go and sit down my friend, Igbos have never preached to share a country with afonjas, it is the reverse that is actually the case. |
justlikedat:Chai, I can't believe this. Is there any federal government property in Aba? If there is you're free to douse it in gasoline! Likewise you're free to engage the army or police and their assets if you can. But it becomes madness when Aba town hall, secretariat, private and commercial buildings like banks etc. are being destroyed. Nna, unu jiri ako n'uche o. |
Why would any sane person in Aba destroy the very little amenities they have? Is that not madness?! Storm the government house in Umuahia and ask the clueless Baga to resign! Anybody that destroys property in Aba is cursed!! |
They are VERY VERY FOOLISH for doing that! |
loveth360:I'm not yoruba |
Kyase:TIVs are a minority group and they obviously does not have what it takes to mount a serious challenge. I'm talking about a direct comparison between major ethnic groups. The mayhem that was unleashed in Lagos by a Northerner and yet some so-called omoluabis are still supporting the perpetrator, if the reverse were to be the case against Kano, will that Southern president go free? |
I repeat that no Southerner would dare unleash in Kano, the sort of mayhem that was unleashed in Lagos and go free?! |
Kyase:Stop comparing apples with oranges! OBJ never and would never have tried such rubbish anywhere in NW and go free!! |
Goldencheese:Yes, the South has no balls I agree with you. However, when IPOB youths were killed, Igbos unanimously condemned it and it was other Southerners that mocked them. Now, contrast that with what is happening now and how some so-called omoluabis are still supporting the murderous regime?! |
babyfaceafrica:Chai, such a big shame that you're even Yoruba. Now I ask you, if it were to be a Yoruba man that is ruling and he committed these attrocities as happened in Lagos, in Kano, do you know that all of them, I mean 100% percent of them will be asking for his head now? But look at you.... SMH! |
ThatFairGuy1:Your mates are out there risking their lives and some being killed in cold blood yet you hide behind your keyboard shivering. Those that are supposed to protect you and others have unleashed violence against everyone yet you keep defending them. I saw brave and courageous youths in Aba that went after the rogue army despite being shot at and the rogue army ran away! Continue hiding under your bed and be supporting a murderous regime. |
Can a Southern president try the sort of nonsense these terrorists did in Lagos to Kano and go free? Even if such person was suicidal enough to try it, by now there would have been a 100% anger by Northerners but it is baffling and shocking to see some Yorubos still supporting this murderous regime. I don't know if this is due to cowardice, lack of self respect, Stockholm syndrome or what ![]() Such a shame! Big shame!! |
No retreat, no surrender! This nation must be reclaimed from the evil ones or else we perish. |
Ategberoson:"Armless" question indeed, he should have asked a fully armed question na, at least to show he is not stvpid ![]() |
Those sponsoring this looming anarchy just because they're desperate to continue with the status quo should know that he who sows the wind would expect the wirlwind. Nigeria will go down than for this evil to triumph over good. Those whose cars were burnt won't go home to cry rather they will come out and continue with the protest like their lives depend on it. |
helinues:Are you sure you're normal? Cars of people fighting for good governance and posterity were burnt by hirelings of a failed government and all you will do is to mock them? You're really a big disgrace to whatever you represent. SMH! |
Davash222:Honestly, we will definitely "waste him like that and nothing will happen" ![]() |
grandstar:Just imagine the nonsense you wrote. So you think it's all about you or your selfish interests? Hell no, it's for all Nigerians and generations yet unborn to have a better life! Whatever inconvenience it will cause is worth it and people will endure it knowing it is only for the moment. Nigeria does not need people with your type of mindset now. |
Elder4sure:That idiat is an abomination. Ndi muru ya gba aka nwa. Such a disgusting waste of rotten sperm and egg! Tufiakwa. |
The North is shocked that South are currently calling the shots and influencing things through the ongoing Endsars protests which has rubbished their age-long believe of being the one that dictates Nigeria's affairs. |
I have realized that breaking up Nigeria will still create more problems while solving others. Dividing the country should be the last resort i.e if we fail to use this last window of opportunity now to make radical changes. |
Kingdemi212019:I think you're right. Reset to factory mode is more like it, because everything needs to go back to original default settings. |
