Abasman008: true sir... But there are those of your brothers who see us as thrash and see the water way as a right.... Absolutely not. I think it's actually the other way round. We Igbos have always seen Niger Deltans as our brothers and closest confidants in Nigeria and we even go out of our way to extend the olive branch. However, that kind gesture has been misconstrued for weakness. I have been in this forum since 2009, so I know how it has always been. It only got worse when IPOB came into the picture and insults got to a crecendo. Remember Newton's third law that states for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction to it. I still believe it will be in the best interest of both Igbos and minorities in SE and SS to have mutual respect for one another, both within Nigeria and beyond Nigeria, because when we engage in any squabble, it is only our common enemies that win. |

Maybe you should also check the last few paragraphs of your screenshot. Didn't you see where it was written that ships have the right to pass provided they didn't do anything detrimental to the neighboring country it is passing through?
Ships coming to any port in Biafra will not do anything to detrimental to Niger Delta because they will simply sail past peacefully.
You guys will be the ones calling for trouble when you try in any way to harm ships to our country because that will be seen as act of war. You can't sabotage the economic interests of another nation for no reason without expecting severe consequences.

Abasman008: [s]So I'll go through so posts and you will see people who should be building peacful coexistence saying that if the SS (when it becomes a Nation) denies SE (also of the latter)route to sea because it cuts through it's territory on both sides, that they (SE) will take it by force. It's silly when instead of trying to help Each other leave this mess people tend to nag mouths and empty threats to anyone they meet... If this thing is to make sense we need to start building relations.
Facts are facts our internal waters are ours as far as the flow in between us... Allowing anyone pass is subject to the flag country, while the ships country obeys it's home countries orders ,it's subject to flag countries laws and cromes comiiteco enroute is punishable by the flag country... Meaning if you have gay sailors and we don't allow that in our country, we have the right to stop and arrest the sailors .. it's the rules guys . So if you are planning to be recognized but the UN which holds isreal(shalom!) In high esteem, then you should be ready to go by the rules. This ain't about mouth threats and what you will be when what you have not seen comes. It's about being peacful neighbors and probably Visa free ones .[/s] We can always be good neighbors but that doesn't mean you have to spew fallacies. |

I don't know how many times I will educate you guys that what makes a country great is neither landmass nor natural resources. If it were, countries like Congo, Afghanistan, Algeria, Sudan, Saudi Arabia etc. would have been the most advanced nations. What makes nations great is nothing but human resources, and that's what made Japan, USA, Israel, Europe and China what they're today. Also, talking about landmass, Igboland still has far more lands than any of you minorities. All those things you listed, 419, drug dealing, fraudsters, counterfeiting etc. are crimes committed by virtually all races, and is not limited to us. Latinos in S.America are the most notorious drug dealers, Chinese are kings of counterfeiting, Russians are more into fraud than any other. Those vices cuts across the globe. Also, whenever Americans get involved in any protest happening anywhere in the world, it tends to spike. Check Hong Kong, Arab Spring, and Sudan.

Politics › Re: Igbo Apprenticeship System Makes People Hate Igbos – Aisha Yesufu Sparks Debate by Proeast2: 8:50am On Oct 09, 2020 |
cbrezy: Nigerian activist, Aisha Yesufu has stirred up a debate on Twitter after sharing her opinion that the Igbo apprenticeship system have contributed to why many people from other tribes resent Igbos.
It is given that the age long Igbo apprenticeship system has produced a lot of multimillionaires of Igbo extraction to the wonder of many from other tribes.
The Igbo apprenticeship system allows a businessman take a young person to learn about his business and eventually get settled (given start-up capital) after an agreed period of time, which usually lasts between 5 to 7 years. During the service period, the younger person (servant) serves the businessman (master) while learning the business.
The Igbos have used the system to build themselves and relatives into renowned business men and women even where apprentices have little, or no formal education.
A Twitter user had said: “The Igbo’s apprenticeship program is the only ‘MBA’ class in the world that teaches the real intricacies of running a business, the practical application of SWOT and PESTEL analysis. And when you graduate, they’ll give you seed capital to start the business. A system that works.” In replying the tweet, Aisha Yesufu pointed out that “The Igbo apprenticeship is an amazing system and the reason Igbos are great in business.”
However, she went on to say that “Everything has it’s advantage and disadvantage and that same system has also portrayed Igbos as clannish people who only employ their own people and never assimilate”
Her tweets opened up a debate as she went on to state that the apprenticeship system have contributed to Igbos been resented the same way Jews are resented.
She went on; “These are my opinions and thoughts over the years and I might be completely wrong but this is how I see it.
“There is a need to take a deliberate look at the Igbo apprenticeship system & begin to look at ways of inclusion. It can start with 5% inclusion of others. When you always go to your village to bring those that will work for you how do you expect the people where you are to feel?
“Just like the Jews, Igbos are resented & I have always wondered why? Is it because they are successful and can achieve anything from nothing? Is it the resilience? I concluded it is because it seems no matter how long they stay with you or you with them you are never one in biz
“A situation where as a business person you only employ your people via the apprenticeship model & no matter how long you stay in a place you never employ the indigenes there except to load and off load. there will be resentment. More if it is not one off experience but the norm
“The Jews too have that trait. Family businesses. Helping each other grow in business and capacity to gang up(if na one naira na one naira) on business issues are common traits shared by both Igbos and Jews. The others feel like outsiders not allowed to share in the goodness
“Systems are to be looked at and upgraded from time to time. It is also important to look at how things are perceived by others. You don’t have to change but just know this is how this action is seen by others
“In all the riots I witnessed as a child, I always say it is more economical than religion. Host community usually think it is the others that kept them impoverished. They feel those monies would have been theirs if these people weren’t there. People don’t blame their lazy selves. The Igbo apprenticeship system is our best kept secret. It is one of the reasons why we were able to bounce back just few years after a terrible war that wiped out our economy. The system is imbued in our culture and it won't change. It is the best way to retain your economy within and avoid capital flight. Most apprenticeship end up becoming greater than their former bosses and the generational wealth continues to grow. Go to the North or SW, you will see Lebanese, Syrians, Indians, Philippines or Chinese running even basic things like bakery, shops, small hotels or restaurants & they will employ a few locals to do their dirty work while paying them peanuts, and their entire profits repatriated to their home countries. However, you can't find such economic sabotage in the East. These Asians realized that they can't compete with the Igbos and thus decided to avoid our cities. This woman is right in her assertions, and just like the Jews, Igbos learnt early enough how to rally within themselves to form a united front against hordes of enemies who wouldn't mind to decimate them if given the opportunity. The beauty of it all is that we have used it to effectively control certain sectors of the economy and we are gradually taking over from the Asians, even outside our own region. |
Politics › Re: A'ibom Community Deserted Over Frequent Attacks By Cultists by Proeast2: 8:26am On Oct 09, 2020 |
DragonFly95: Residents in Inen community, Oruk Anam local government area of Akwa Ibom State who have deserted their home as a result of frequent attacks by members of Dbam and Iceland confraternities engaging in a battle of supremacy for about eight months are crying out for help from the state government. It was gathered that what started as a clash for supremacy between two rival cult groups has escalated such that indigenes have abandoned their homes taking refuge in neighbouring villages for fear of possible genocide in the area. Investigation reveals that over 60 persons have been killed , many declared missing by close relatives while scores are receiving treatment in various hospitals in Akwa Ibom . Speaking to our Correspondent from hospital in uyo on Thursday, the wife of a victim one Mr. Friday Ufenang who was shot in the church vestry during early morning prayers last Sunday said the husband survived by God's mercy after surgeries on the head to extract bullets.
Continuing, Mrs Iniobong said she needed more than N500,000 for other operations to get her husband back to life again.
Another victim ; a retired police Inspector Mr Okon Josiah Udoh now taking treatment in an undisclosed hospital in uyo for injuries he sustained when cultists attempted to kill him in the area . An eyewitness who pleaded anonymity said the case of the retired police officer was very pathetic given his health conditions before he was attacked by the hoodlums.
He said the police officer had relocated to the community and was bedridden with a stroke at the time when the blood thirsty cultists started killings in the village. He explained that the retired officer penetrated the cult groups for three weeks begging them to stop further killings but instead of them obliged to the pleas, they resorted to attack giving him matchet cuts .
A resident Mr Victor Johnny told our Correspondent that hostilities perpetrated by hoodlums have crippled both social and religious activities in the area .
" Last Sunday no Church in the community held their worship service after an Elder was shot in the church vestry during prayers. All the churches closed down and members attended service in neighbouring villages."
" The worst of it all is that all the schools both primary and secondary in the area have not resumed as teachers and pupils could not return for fear of hoodlums who may cause havoc at anytime"
Narrating his personal experience, another resident Mr Friday Emmah ; a poultry farmer now taking refuge in Port Harcourt told our Correspondent how he escaped death by the whiskers in the hands of the cultists.
Emmah said the cultists first invaded his poultry and removed 200 chickens at different occasions out of 600 birds leaving only 400 in the farm and later broke the windscreen of his car. He said when he observed that the cultists may descend on him any moment , he quickly auctioned the remaining birds in the farm , gathered his family and fled to Rivers State for safety . " While I was hiding in Port Harcourt, the hoodlums sent a message through my younger brother that I should give them two hundred thousand naira(N200,000) or they will burn down my house in the village . In reply , I told them to go ahead and set the house ablaze if such action would cause them stop killings of innocent people"
Emmah said the following day the " bad boys" went to his house in the village breaking all aluminium glasses as they were angry for the response threat message. He therefore urged Governor Udom Emmanuel to rise to occasion and avert the impending anarchy reminiscent of the incident in Ukanafun local government area in the past where cultists later turned to militants holding the area to ransom for many years before the amnesty deal by government. When our Correspondent visited the area , motorcycle operators popularly known as "okada" at Ikot Ibritam junction ,(the headquarters of OrukAnam local government area ) refused to carry any passenger to Inen community. " Oga even if you give me one million naira , I would not carry you Inen. I don't want to die . My wife and children are too dear to me . Please carry your wahala alone. If you like to trek to that place . Whatever you see, 'take am like that' . I can't come"
In a telephone interview, the Akwa Ibom State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Odiko Mcdon confirmed various killings and general insecurity by residents in the Inen community saying the command was aware of all the atrocities by cultists in the area.
" The command is very angry over what is happening in that community. We have set up a special team to tackle cultists there. Many have been arrested . Operations are ongoing in the area. We intend to involve stakeholders in the community to unravel those behind all the killings there. For those arrested , they would soon be charged to court" he said. https://thesouthernexaminer.com/aibom-community-deserted-over-frequent-attacks-by-cultists-p3594-118.htm From frying pan to fire |

Fleshly: It's easily predictable that she will win. There's something about an Igbo man/woman who's determined, there's no force that can stop him/her. Had Buhari shunned nepotism, and allowed an Igbo judge to represent Nigeria at ICC, there's no way he/she will be disqualified at preliminary stages like that Quota system almajiri judge!
I'm sure Yoruba Muslims and their northern almajiri counterparts will surely be pained by this news, but do they really have a choice?? We Ndigbo will continue to be ahead of everybody. We have determined to rule and lead Nigeria and as anyone can see we are using our indefatigable propaganda machinery to bring down anything that stands on our way. For Example, the ongoing demystificstion of the drug baron opolo eye bourdillion thief - Tinubu, and the stigmatization of the terrorist in chief Elrufai, are some of our handiworks. By the time we are done with them, we will focus our attention on that short engine pretender pastor in Aso villa. 2023 is ours to make!!! It's either we make it or NO ONE WILL!!
But let me say this for the sake of those fickle minded Igbos, please stop falling for the cheap emotional blackmail of futa jalon illeterates, who keep asking Ndigbo to build bridges. To be honest, there's no tribe that has built bridges more than Ndigbo! But time and again when those bridges are built, the Yoruba Muslims and their northern almajiri counterparts will burn them down out of envy. Now, this generation says no MORE! WE ain't interested in building bridges again, and this is paining them because they have discovered that we are ready to square it off with them, and they know we will win!!
Yeah, we will campaign in the almajiri north and we will use our people there to secure their votes, after all the fulanis believe that Igbos are far superior to them, so they have no choice than to vote for our candidate. Though, the northern elites are not happy with an Igbo man ruling Nigeria because they believe he will not easily succumb to pressure, but again they don't have a choice, since America has now declared interest in Nigerian elections. And all of us know that the current US foreign policy in Nigeria under president Trump is in favour of Ndigbo. Can everyone now see how intelligent and smart we are?
Immediately Buhari won his elections, unlike the Yoruba people who's elders would have gone to the villa cap in hand begging for handouts, we Ndigbo said NO WAY!! We must never lose our honour, we had rejected Buahari thrice and we will continue to reject him. So what did we do?? We first started with IPOB in order to create a political leverage, thereafter, we took over the cyber space, in order to make sure that news coming outta Nigeria is always in our favour. After that we stood and campaigned for Trump to get elected, and then we began working for our people to get a chance to manage international organizations. This is a master stroke!!
Do you now see how we managed to cage Buhari? and we will continue to use these strategies on him till we drive him outta office and get our person elected. You see why we are always confident in ourselves?? Because we know how to get things done!! No other tribe in Nigeria could have pulled a fast one on a mad general who is the president, and even at that remained adamant after he became president except Ndigbo. Even if we conduct elections 10 times, Buhari will still lose the Igbo votes and we are not apologetic about it. Sometimes when I remember that I'm an Igbo man, I feel intoxicated because nothing in life can be better than it.
So you now see why the northern elites are pushing for GEJ presidency, because they know for sure an Igbo man is coming and they are morbidly afraid of it, since they understand that Igbos don't cave in under pressure and they don't like that. But do we care?? NEVER!
Now imagine NOI as the DG of WTO and Peter Obi as the president of Nigeria. I tell you not even South Africa can measure up with Ndigbo in terms of GDP Per capita. When you see most of our governors building airport, do you think it's just for fun?? No! It's in anticipation of what is to come. The world is about to be taken by storm by Ndigbo. But we must play our own by remaining steadfast on the part of independent thinking and same mindedness. Bro, this is classified information and it's not meant for public consumption! Let's keep some things discreet while we continue with the online onslaught |
