Ahamefuna0001:Stop using Wike as a yardstick to make your judgement, that man is an unstable character and an opportunist. Wike is a very selfish man who is only after his ambitions and wouldn't mind trading off every other person to achieve it. IPOB and Nnamdi Kanu has their excesses no doubt, but have it in mind that Nigeria and Nigerians have never liked the Igbos. They hate your guts, your Republican nature, your belief, your aggressive entrepreneul spirit and just everything about you! You can pick up books Chinua Achebe wrote such as The Trouble With Nigeria or There Was A Country among others by different authors, they will help you to understand the psychology of other Nigerians towards Igbos. I'm not a member of IPOB and neither am I holding breif for them. However, blaming all these on Nnamdi Kanu or IPOB is quite unfair to say the least. The group has its advantages and disadvantages on us Igbos, and what you should be doing as a smart person is to criticize them constructively and offer pieces of advice that will help them reposition better. I can even assure you that IPOB is also acting as a pressure group that is making other Nigerians to also consider Igbos. Even the Igbo presidency gained traction based on this too. You must know that Nigeria is a dog eat dog soceity and only those that can mount pressure on the system are often considered. The Niger Delta used militancy to pressure Nigeria and it earned them certain benefits. Other regions also have their variant forms. When Yorubas formed Amotekun, the Northerners raised hell and demanded they scrape it, but they stood their ground! Do not condemn IPOB because others hate them and their guts, no! Instead advice them to tone down on their violent rhetorics. |
IamWonderful:Stop decieving yourself, Igbos are all over the world and not just in Lagos or SW. The fact that many of us are abroad doesn't mean our region isn't economically vibrant. We are capitalists and investors who keep searching for fresh grounds to capture. Yes, your current misfortune. Lagos Chamber of commerce has stated that Lagos economy lost over 1 trillion naira in the last few days and the gambaris still want to finish it off by moving the operational base of NPA from Lagos to the Niger Delta, that's gross misfortune my friend. |
IamWonderful:Instead of facing the North that keeps playing you guys for a fool, you turn around to blame IPOB for your misfortunes. You're suffering from Stockholm syndrome!! |
LegendHero:Cry me a river! At what point did you realize that gambaris are no longer on the same page with you?! I thought you claimed they're your best friends, so why are you crying and pouring spittle everywhere?? Save us the sob story please, no one cares, after all other cities like Calabar, P.H, Warri and Onitsha are all in Nigeria too, if your Northern masters decide to move the operational base to safer areas, I don't think it's bad. I feel your frustration sha ![]() |
NGpatriot:The job of BMC must be a very difficult one. You're busy working overtime to show "all working" and justify your PPP stipends but now that international bodies have proven there was a massacre at Lekki Toll gate, what do you have to say about it?! |
Commentor:Rubbish! Everyone is not a paid zombie who has sold their conscience. |
When I told the bastards and zombies saying nonsense and denying there was a massacre at Lekki Toll gate, that this is 2020 and not 1980, that everything would be easily verified and assertained, they thought I was bluffing. The perpetrators would never go unpunished! The long arm of the law may be slow in grabbing them, but they will surely and ultimately be brought to justice. Every one of them! If Charles Taylor would rot at the Hague then I don't see why these terrorists in power won't suffer same fate. They should enjoy their limited time because they would soon be called to judgement! |
OBUKSBAYELSA:Can't you see how unfortunate and thoughtless you are? The same Obigbo that is in contention here, is it not in Niger Delta? Is it not the people of Obigbo in Rivers State that are passionately in support of Biafra and Nnamdi Kanu?? To whom brain is given, sense is expected. |
Brooklynsouth:Wike is obviously a fool. The little fame he gar ered which incidentally resulted from the hype of those he is trying to antagonize unnecessarily, will be his greatest undoing. Southern politicians are mostly stvpid, selfish and thoughtless, and that's why their Northern counterparts keep playing them like fools. Wike is a nobody and from the way he is going like a drunken tyrant, his disgrace will be far worse than that of Tinubu. Dull people that will never learn. SMH! |
Commentor:I feel sorry for you and all those things that liked this trash you wrote. Someone who is obviously living a good life in America is concerned about the crimes against humanity taking place in Nigeria but look at you defending the same people committing it. Shame on you and your likes!! |
Emilokoiyawon:So after putting out the light and removing all cameras before opening fire on protesters, you still have the guts to come online and deny it?! So all the gunshots that was booming all through the night were all fake? So all the people that ended up at the hospitals and some in the morgue are all fake? So all the people that are still missing and those whose loved ones are still grieving are all fake? So even DJSWITCH who was right there when it was happening and kept streaming it life, with CNN putting a call through to her was all fake too?? I have nothing else to say to you but if all these never happened, may it be well with you but if they happened and decided to allow the devil to use you because of peanuts, then may you suffer a worse fate and may it be also be called fake. |
ThatFairGuy1:Do you have sense at all? Did you ever see me supporting destruction anywhere? That particular thread was about Aba and I condemned the people destroying things. How does that make me a hypocrite?! |
Nigerians, especially those from the South should always remember those that caused us to lose an estimated 2 Trillion naira from our economy (when I say our economy, I mean Southern Nigeria). The #Endsars protest was hugely successful and unprecedented in Nigeria's history as mostly Southerners got united in questioning why some evil things were happening in Nigeria. However, the government of the day became alarmed that Nigerians, worse still Southerners could have the audacity to hold the country at a standstill and started using all manner of devilish underhand tactics to stop them. When all their attempts fell like a pack of badly arranged cards, they became desperate. Not a few people were shocked when government luxury buses and vans started moving large numbers of hoodlums to protest venues with the aim causing mayhem. Soon, we started hearing reports of killings, injuries and destruction caused by these hoodlums. There were even instances where the security agencies stood by watching as these holigans went berserk! The last straw that broke the carmel's back was when large numbers of protesters came under fire. An action that was premeditated because the lights and cameras were earlier disabled!! The next day, hoodlums who observed that there was massive anti-government sentiments across Southern Nigeria used it as an opportunity to hijack the situation and start looting, destroying, maiming and even killing. While all these were going on, one would naturally expect the government to put a stop to it, but alas they conveniently allowed things to worsen and excalate beyond measure. Today, Southern Nigeria has not only lost an estimated over 2 Trillion naira but also lost many of its bright youths! As we are mourning, the least we should do is to allow them to change the narrative. They can be mocking us over there because they believe they've won the battle but in reality, they actually lost the fight because we will come out of this stronger. |
ibedun:Are you sick or something?! Celebrating what exactly? |
Nigeriabiafra80:If it were during the "dark ages" when there was no internet, they would have succeeded in their lies and propaganda, but this 2020 and many Southerners are not only educated now but also have access to the internet. Before they can cook up any lies or propaganda, we all would have seen it life and know the truth. Cursed nation! |
We4all:Who started or sponsored the use of thugs? For about two weeks the protests lasted, there wasn't any news of looting or killing until they started sponsoring thugs to unleash violence as well as the massacre at Lekki Toll gate. Then again, whose duty was it to protect lives and properties? The government or the people? Did you also see several instances where the police/army deliberately refused to maintain law and order because they felt it was in their favour? |
NGpatriot:Don't get it twisted. The same government you're always working overtime to defend are responsible for the damages. The protest was peaceful for about 2 weeks until they started sponsoring hoodlums and moving them to protest venues to cause mayhem. Then the last straw that broke the carmel's back was the massacre of protesters which allowed hoodlums to cash in on the anti-government sentiments to cause havoc. So while you're showing pictures of damages, also remember to put the blame at the appropriate quarters. |
Rubbish! In this internet and social media age, it is to be expected that some mischievous elements will want to fabricate stories for ulterior motives, but does that mean there wasn't a massacre of protesters? Does that mean hoodlums wasn't paid by people in authority and moved in government vehicles to protest grounds where they caused mayhem?! |
Naijabad:That is the most important gain we should be looking out for. A coalition of all ethnic groups that value lives and humanity against the savages. Very soon, it will become risky for our politicians to allow themselves to be used as slaves by Northerners. Check all over the social media and see people of each particular ethnic groups in the South calling out their people to know who the real enemy is. Now, that's unprecedented! |
ODUBEZE:They're all stupid and can't even do a reasonable propaganda. They've realized that South is gradually closing ranks but those that desperately want to maintain the status quo and their followers keep trying to stop it. They've all failed! |
LegendAnselm:You should be arrested for saying this rubbish! Why and how on earth will you justify looting of private belongings?! WTF is wrong with you, that's someone's sweat!! |
NairaHercules:If you check very well, you will see that I have created several threads in the past to burst some of those myths. Better have it in mind that be it restructuring or break up, Igbos or Yorubas working alone won't be able to achieve it. Ask yourself, who are those sponsoring all manner of propaganda against us if not the likes of Tinubu and Oba Akiolu, but you can see how the same Yorubas are now going after them because they know they don't have their interests at heart. Try to be wise and play smart so we can achieve our objective please. |
NairaHercules:If you have studied this useless country you will understand that we can't get out of this mess if we don't close ranks. There are foolish ones and sellouts among them but there are reasonable ones too. Let's work with the reasonable ones otherwise all of us will remain stuck in the mess. Let's keep insults out of this discussion please. |
God bless DJSwitch. Brave and courageous ladies like her are very rare to find. I was following her report on Twitter when that massacre was going on, and even CNN put a call through to her. She is a real hero! |
NairaHercules:What we have with the Yorubas is just rivalry and competition in some aspects but we have never fought each other. Check those that are causing trouble in Jos, Abuja, Lagos, Obigbo etc and indeed all over Nigeria. You should know who they are, they are the real enemies! |
zinizta:Good luck to you empty brain. They keep succeeding because of empty brains like this. |
NairaHercules:You're not Igbo but an imposter. If we and them are not friends and don't get along, then why is there no history of fights and killings between us? Igbos in Lagos outnumber Hausas, but why is it that we haven't been fighting Yorubas the same way Hausas always fight with them? The only way we can defeat the enemy is by closing ranks and uniting, otherwise they will keep unleashing mayhem and destroying everything. |
kingy1:Igbos and Yorubas, as well as minorities should know who the common enemy is. They've succeeded so far because we failed to unite and put them in their place. The day Igbos and Yorubas will unite sincerely face the common enemy is the day we will have freedom. |
Nowenuse:It is really terrible. The same people causing fights all over Nigeria! Why is it that Igbos have never fought with Jos people despite having large presence there? Why is it that only a particular set of people are the ones causing mayhem? Why can't all other Nigerians rise up and collectively say enough is enough to all these violence?! |
Any idiat stealing or looting other people's properties should be shot to death. |
