islamics: I hope the change will improve one's chance and if possible increase the slot from each state. Some years back ,they gave 2 MSc slots for each state and 1 Ph.D slot for each of the 6 geo political zones in the country. But I heard they only gave one MSc slot for each state last year. Let's hope the federal government will increase the lots this year |

There is a noticeable change this year: The scholarship will be taken in Nigeria unlike in previous years when the successful candidates undertook their studies in foreign universities. |

deeswagger: thank you all for the support and the calls you have put through to him, at 9pm today he called me, and said he hasnt picked up the shoes... which i dont believe cause i spoke to them at agofure today and they said the shoe is no longer with them.
he said i should please tell you all to stop calling that his wife is not happy with it, and he said if he was fraudulent, he would break his sim and buy a new one... he also said , he sent his cab driver to help him pick up the teller wherever he dropped it, but the cab driver couldn't bring it owing to the fact it is already late... left to me, his story does not add up, but he said he will send pictures of the teller to me tomorrow which i will share with you all tomorrow as soon as he does.
but all i want to say is thank you for the support and the time you took in helping me out, i really appreciate your effort... Op,don't just buy his story even if he sent you the teller. Your owner confirmation is a genuine alert from your bank indicating he has paid for the shoes which you can also verify. Any other thing is a fraud. |

Going through op's earlier topics and what he said in them it is evident that op is a scammer. He claimed that his uncle gave him N200k in a thread he opened on Feb 2. He also gave the impression that he is expected to submit final year project in a month's time in Unical. Yet Unical which he claimed he to a student of is still in her first semester. When asked by somebody to provide his details as a student he refused to do so. My only concerned is that these scammers are trying to make it difficult for those seeking genuine help. |

Instead of the op owing up to the scam ,"she" is still forming truthful. "She" has not defended all the inconsistencies in her earlier post and now calling God and not Karma. No ID card, no certificate. In fact nothing to prove all her claims. All that she posted are "fake" documents. |
Career › Re: Should I Sell My Virginity To Retain My Job? by Profeme: 10:11pm On Feb 25, 2016 |
Thanks to Bigchief46 and others that brought to the fore that the op lied with the intent of defrauding some gullible persons. "Her" claims were very inconsistent. She started with B.Sc Economics and ended with BSc Biochemistry. I have followed "her" post from the onset till now and can said without any iota of doubt that the op is a scammer. Even the "documents" posted by "her" are all false. Let her post the main certificate and not plague. In fact if you did Philosophy and Logic in school, you will not need a seer to tell you that the op lied. At a time "she" called Karma for those who didn't agree with '"her". This calls for caution because it is likely that some have fallen prey to the scam. So one needs to look before he/her leaps because scammers are on rampage. |

Jengbetiele: Most universities here have funding especially for graduate programs. When you are applying for a master's degree admisson here, there are bascically two routes to the same program. The first is a thesis route or research based while the second is a project route. Since thesis route involves alot of research, you are funded for the entire duration of the studies. The funding will cover everything and may also be given a research assistant or teaching assistant role. Normally for thesis route, you take four to five courses in the first year and the second year is for your research. If you are interested in a phd, thesis route is highly recommended. But if you want to go by thesis, you have to secure a professor willing to supervise you....this is where the big deal is. Getting them is no easy. You need to write a detailed and catchy proposal and that proposal must align with the research interests of your proposed supervisor. Without a supervisor, you wont be admitted for a thesis based masters degree. For a project based masters, you take 6 to 8 courses in all and you do a not too big project. I hope i have answered your question. Merci OK. Thanks for clearing the air and answering the questions. This will hep any person interested in applying for scholarship. |

I agree with you absolutely. No matter the argument that may come from those who don't believe the existence of afterlife,it does not change the truth.. Lol!! Galileo proposed that the earth moves and is not standstill.because this was contrary to what the knew the catholics actually penalized him for such believes..yeah you should be familiar with the statement "galileo repentance will not make the earth stand still" although the catholics believed that d earth was still and don't perceive that it was actually in motion isn't a proof that it is You should also believe in black hole wich most likely you haven't come across...why? Because some scientist proofs to your that it existed and you also feel light cannot pass through it because he said so Yes we believe in eternity because 1 it is innate in our being and 2 we believe in a God..and like that scientist our God also tells us that there is life after death |

I agree with those that said you should be sure of your CGPA before you go to your former school. I want to ask: Did you see your transcript and was the change reflect in your transcript or not? I know of somebody who was issued with 2.1 statement of result when she graduated but her statement of result was changed to 2.2 when she applied for her transcript because her CGPA was recalculated and it was found that she actually made 2.2. So it's possible for it to be changed if there are errors. |

I totally agree with you. mykeaji: The NITDA scholarship is a welcome development and gives room for individuals to further their career but What really pissed me off was d manner of questions set. Computer science is a broad subject that comprises of networking, software programming, database mgt, mgt information system etc. Why will nitda base all their questions on networking? What happens to those who have deep knowledge about database... I don't want to brag about d projects I have done so far but d scholarship Exam wasn't worth it at all. Spending close to 8hrs on road just to see crappy questions. Is nitda a network company? What was most annoying about d exam was them asking who d minister of information is? For heavens sake, buhari hasn't even appointed any!!! Nitda is not d end, will continue my search for scholarships somewhere else... God bless u all |

Education › Re: 8 Acts Lecturers Display Which Result To Poor Grade Of Students by Profeme: 11:52pm On Jul 21, 2015 |
Nigerian students are very timid. They are so much afraid of their lecturers hence their inability to take the necessary actions when they are not treated well by their lecturers. Take for instance a lecturer will miss his lectures yet students will keep quite only to complain in the exam hall. Alexisu: Reminds me of what happened when I was in school. One of my lecturers gave me an F in a course I was very sure I would not fail. Went to his office with another guy with the same issue, and after complaining over and over again, he reluctantly asked us to go and look for out scripts where he stacked them. Lo and behold, our scripts were not marked. He marked it in our present, and gave us a note to our course adviser for rectification. Some of our course mates who didn't bother had to carry it over thinking they failed not knowing their scripts were not marked. Nigerian students they suffer I swear. |
