I think this is a case of someone who really knows his right and is willing to explore it. So redeployment in a workplace without consent is potentially illegal? Never knew.
But the report stated that he was invited and was informed that he will be redeployed to the new post and he consented to the new offer.

Lecturer where? this should be based on the continent, country and location you want to become lecturer and your immediate goal for next 5 years and goal for next 30 years if you are currently less than 80 years now.

You will need to think; if you will be based in Nigeria as an example, you have to check how many universities are currently offering programs in your proposed master field. If you can find a good number distributed regionally then means chances of getting a job may be higher. So if your permanent location or next 5 years lecturing will be based in Nigeria and they have many universities in Nigeria studying Microbiology then you can go for it.

For example, in Nigeria banking and Finance is a very common course almost where almost all universities offer this program ........but in several countries, I have lived, lectured or visited they dont do this course. Common related course is often economics, international finance and MIS so these set of people work in banks in these places.

Developed countries and real developing countries are currently or have been applying artificial intelligence in almost all field leading to massive development and scaling up start-ups......I have not actually read about a university in Nigeria offering programs in this field maybe until 100 years to come. So if someone have Msc and PhD in artificial intelligence such person will be hotcake abroad but cold or no cake in Nigeria for now in terms of lecturing.

So consider your local environment, immediate goals, 15 years targets as main parameters and set aside changing world and advancement as a variable to reach your conclusion.

Best wishes
Thanks Prof. for your words here. They open my eyes to have a global perspective and most be restricted to local constraints.

Please I need your advice, it's very urgent.

I finished my HND at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic with distinction in Food Technology. I really want to further but I am a bit confused. I have 2 options to choose from, please which of these options would be good for my career, since I want to Lecture.

Options
1. Do direct entry with my HND to 300 level, to get my BSC then proceed to MSC then PhD

OR

2. Use my HND to do PGD (biomedical engineering), then MSC , PhD

Please which option is better?....Thanks in advance!!!
It depends on the target institution you want to work as a lecturer. Some universities will not employ you as lecturer even if you have Ph.D except you have a first degree while most polytechnics will employ you with your HND-PGD- MSc-Ph. D. So having a degree offer you some advantage. The is my take.

I think it depends on each university rules and regulations. Each university often have graduate institute office that coordinates and provides details regarding the thesis writing and formatting. In modern and standard school, such information are often placed on the university website.

In general, thesis does not have maximum nor minimum provided the key elements are all included proportionally.

I remember one of my classmates (or senior) we were nearly graduating at the same time during our PhDs;

---her thesis was like 350 pages with just one scientific publication as requirement to graduate PhD (her supervisor loves heavily paged thesis, she believes that means worthy and valuable and with such heavily paged thesis she said the student is highly competitive).

----On the other hand, my PhD thesis was 40 pages and graduated with 25 scientific publications (although when my PhD supervisors saw my thesis, they tried to convince me to increase the page so the Jury members wont say its too light.........for me I dont see any sense in that, because I only summarized all my publications........I convinced the major supervisor that spending 3 years in lab/field with 25 publications and another with 7.5 years for PhD with 1 publication even blind person will know......so no further comments). During the submission at the graduate institute, the director said the thesis appears light and less pages, I told him my supervisors and Jury members did not complain niether myself... so......!

For the PhD students I have supervised; I believe in quality, passing experience, training and exposure to my students rather than giving me 1000 pages thesis and after graduation they are not worthy or their CVs cant compete favorably globally. The university needs just 1 reputable publication to graduate, but my rule for my PhD students is minimum of 10 paper publications, some meet and exceed while some meets just 5 ......

Anyway, So check with your university and supervisor advice.
Thanks Prof. This information settles it.

7. When you click on about the journal, you will find relevant information like the aims, type of manuscript accepted and details
8. To know if the Journal is FREE or You have to pay to publish, click the GUIDE for Authors
9. So, in the Guide for authors, go down until you get to a point that shows SUBSCRIPTION, if it gives you details about the Subscription, then means this is a free journal to publish unless you choose OPEN access. So if you want it FREE just select their regular SUBSCRIPTION (what its means is that, after you publish your paper will be on their website and only universities or individual that subscribed can download a complete paper).
10. The details below in the Guide for Authors show you how to format your work and all details needed
11. To find the coverage or database the journal belongs, kindly visit Clarivate website (https://mjl.clarivate.com/search-results). Here, you will see the true database.

Note, there are a bunch of fake journals, especially the many indian publishers' (this is not a stereotype, just my observations and widely known trend) they just charge you to publish in their Journals. So, the usually list fake database or impact factors on their websites, kindly visit Clarivates for authentic coverage.

I hope this helps...........best wishes!
Thanks,Prof. Wip7 for this timely information.

Op, My advice to you is for you to go to your department to get the true state of affairs with regard to your result. It is not possible that you result will "suddenly" disappear into thin air.

If I may ask " how did you know that you had 2 D's from the courses taught by your Supervisor and D in your project with an overall CGPA of 3.26"? The answer to this question may help us to give you better advice to help resolve the issue.

Make efforts to resolve the issue internally before rushing to Twitter for assistance.

Applying for transcript is not an issue. You need to go to NTI state headquarters where you did your PGDE programme. Make inquiries on how to go about it.

Normally, you need to apply for your transcript to be forwarded to your target Institution's address after paying the prescribed fees.
