If the federal government is sincere in their promise to ASUU, why can't they sign that agreement? Verbal agreement in this country is a deceptive strategy to push this issue aside. Why give them ultimatum when it comes to making your agreement formal and binding? I trust ASUU. Let's wait and see how the drama unfolds.

This is Bad!

The National Executive Council, NEC, meeting of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has been suspended indefinitely.

The meeting was initially scheduled to hold at Bayero University, Kano, on Wednesday, but the ASUU National President, Nasiru Fagge, has revealed that it has been postponed.


The reason for its suspension is because of the death of Professor Festus Iyayi, who was a former president of ASUU. Iyayi died in a car crash allegedly caused by the convoy of the Kogi State Governor, Idris Wada on Tuesday, while travelling for the NEC meeting.

Several members of the executive council from various universities from all over the country, were already in Kano for the meeting, where they were expected to deliberate on the resolutions of various chapters of ASUU, on whether or not the strike should be called off.

If principals can falsify their age to cheat government,why will they punish the student who cheat in exams? Is this not a total collapse in educational foundation? Or is this one caused by GEJ too? What a shame!

If I have to be sincere here, I will state it clearly that there is no lecturer who is good in his field n knows what is doing either in the federal,state or private university that is regretting the job. Have seen some that are so good that at least three university have them on their campus. To me, just be good n have the passion plus common sense. Then you can benefit so much from the system.

Agree to join by principle does not mean He has agreed and diffrent from signing a deal. This news is still unfounded. Next topic please

The Issue with Emenike is not far from Osaze. If the couch offends you,must the world hear? If he didn't call you and you are pissed off why not call him talk straight with him? I feel sad and angry when people start single on nairaland because the allowee of the corpers is increase to such a paltry amount.it shows that we don't even know how value as graduate and gow mouch we worth. Very true!!! It almost lead to quarrel between me and my wife when we got married. She was thinking I get to toilet to do some secret stuff bt wen she later discover that I think,pray n meditate there she just left me alone. Why should both families determine whether the relationship should go on or not? Why? Who will carry the pains if the person the choose later become the Devil's inlaw? Am absolutely in support of parental consent while choosing a life partner but am more consious of spiritual consent than mere man quess based on ethnicity or looks which does not say anything about the success or failure of the marriage in the future. I always advise intending couple to first show their partners to God( not even men of God cos they also can make mistake). That Is why your relationship with God is very essential to the sucees of your Marriage.you can hardly hear clearly from God while making this crucial life decision if you are not used to hear from him in simpler matters. Show your partner to God,if he approves,look for someone your parents respect n go with them. Keep praying,if its truly God,your parents will give their concent with time.

When I read people's comments on many threads I always wonder how people think. In this sad case,what has government to do with this situation?what has the medical system has to do with it? Its purely a sign of Lack of value for human life. Its not about the government,it means WE DON'T LOVE OURSELVES!
