My Dad told me when he was childless and trusting God for the fruit of the womb, he went to meet Prophet Obadare in the 70's. The Prophet then gave him appointment to meet him next week. When my dad got to his office, the Prophet came down and as soon as my Dad greeted him, the Prophet said "is that the Engineer from Osogbo?" and my dad said "yes I am". Then Prophet Obadare said,"go back home, by this time next year you shall return with your baby".That was it!!!...my mum became pregnant the same month and 9 months later she gave birth to my elder brother!

REST IN PEACE THE GREAT MAN OF GOD. I wish double of his spirit could rest on me now!

It'll be nice for you to read through part 1 - 3 of this thread to get a good idea of all you'll need and what to expect at the interview. got a Phd admmission? congrats virgin ice! were you interviewed before you were offered admission? I applied to Yeshiva, amongst others, and was informed that qualified doctoral candidates will be interviewed (international students by phone). I just need to know what to expect. can you share your experience (if u had an interview)?

It actually depends on schools,in my own case I was interviewed via Skype and within a week I was recommended to the Graduate school for admission into a

PhD program. Basically, good schools interview prospective PhD students either through Phone or Skype..good luck!!!

It depends on how a child was being brought up.In the short life I've lived so far, I have seen mature female children totally ignoring their parents' needs ....I take care of my parents equally, I have no special love for one than the other; Both trained me with Agape Love!

makaveli16:

The school has some draconian laws like refusing to send a scanned copy, refusing to send an I-20 to any other address apart from your personal address. Sending it to friend would have been my best option if not for their very tough stance. Would still recommend fedex though my lawyer wants me to sue them for this gargantuan ineptitude.

Makaveli16, listen to me, I decree the release of your document within 72 hours in the name of the resurrected Jesus Christ!!!...the same God that did it for your friend in Ohio will surely do it for you. kiss

Mr. Chris:
As usual, i got to the Lagos embassy (the same embassy i did my 1st interview) @ about 5:30am but i met people fewer than 50 & eventually not as many as my previous interview. Was interviewed by a young dude. Lets begin! Me-Good morning sir Vo-Good morning & how are you doing Me-Fine Vo-Please, pass your documents Me-(I did just that) Vo-Which School are you going to? Me-XYZ UNIVERSITY Vo-What course? Me-MBA Vo-What is your highest degree? Me-Bachelor of Science In Business Administration and minor concentration in MIS Vo-Which other schools did you apply to? Me- 4 in US, 1 in UK, 1 in Nigeria (i named them) Vo-Why did you choose this school? Me- (1) Its Wealth of Experience of over 100years of Standard University Education which makes the school among the best schools in the Southern region of America rated by usnews.com & world report. (2) Its conducive classroom that has a Student-Faculty ratio of 14:1 which gives me an opportunity to interact well with my colleagues & lecturers on academic issues. (3) All my lecturers in the School of Business Administration & Management are Professors which makes them experts in their respective areas of teaching. Infact, i communicated with the dean of the School of Business Administration & Management, Prof. Hector Quintanilla who advised me via the phone as well as e-mails on the importance of studying my MBA @ the School & what i stand to gain when i graduate from the School. (@ this point, the guy called the next Vo who happened to be the guy who gave me that pathetic white paper on my 1st interview, "den dey gist about my matter oh" for a few seconds, i guessed!) Vo-Did you write any exam? Me-Yes, GRE. Vo-Can i have it? Me-Yes (i passed it & he checked it) Vo-Where did you do your exam? Me-Lagos Vo-What do you understand by Geometry & Algebra? Me-Geometry is a form of mathematics that has to do with description of shapes, sizes & eventual interpretation in mathematical terms through solving problems while Algebra is a form of mathematics that involves the use of equations & formulars to solve problems, for example 80 + x = 120, what will be the value of x? Vo-Who will Sponsor you? Me- My Dad Vo-What does he do? Me-He supplies Building materials to Companies & Individuals within the country, infact, he owns a Building material company, presently has two firms, 1 in Lagos state which is the head office & the annex in Ogun state that both supplies Building materials within Nigeria. He is the General Manager of XYZ BUILDING MATERIAL COMPANY. Vo-Do you have any statement? Me-Yes (i passed it & he glanced through & returned it) Although @ this time i had accepted fate that its nt my day again after i noticed his hands directed towards the same spot the earlier Vo took dat pathetic white paper & also handled my passport along with my I-20 the same way the earlier Vo handled it & thought i heard him say something like re-applying again or their usual rehearsed pathetic statement. But i was shocked when the Vo gave me only this supposedly "white paper again" but refused giving me my passport & I-20. "Na so dis white dude no gree oh". (later i discovered the white paper he gave me contains encouraging statement regarding collection of visa). It was then it clicked that the devil has finally been disgraced, disappointed & defeated!!! GLORY BE TO GOD ALMIGHTY!! Please, join me to sing & dance "Come & join me sing Halleluyah, Jehovah Jareh has done me well, Come & join me sing Halleluyah, Jehovah Jareh has done me well". GLORY BE TO ALMIGHTY GOD.
..congrats dude!

abubello: @ profkenny what exactly are u trying to prove? What is the connection between penalty for apostasy and the wholesale conversion of former Christian countries to Islam. By the way how many people were ever killed throughout history for apostasy? How about the spread of Islam in the west is that due to apostasy law as well?

Believe me,abubello,I'm yet to see a Muslim convert from an Islamic nation, where the Sharia law is being upheld, who continued living in the nation. No not one, he/she has to flee for his/her life. 3 months ago a Saudi girl converted to Christianity and she had to run to Lebanon for safety.Upon hearing this, the Saudi government arrested 2 men who they felt were instrumental to her conversion, right now they're still in prison. check this:
http://www.saudigazette.com.sa/index.cfm?method=home.regcon&contentid=20120728131309

The spread of Islam in the West is due to the freedom of religion being practiced in the West. The Whites don't give a damn about who you worship, so they've allowed Islam and you would see thousands of Mosques there. FREEDOM OF WORSHIP(both in the open and in the closet) IS WHAT WE NEED AND YOU WILL BE AMAZED AT THE SALVATION OF SOULS UNTO CHRIST THAT WILL BE EXPERIENCED IN THE ARAB WORLD.

For example history tell us that historically the following Muslim countries were once Christians: Turkey, Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Jordan etc now how many muslim countries ever became christian?

Mind you, I've lived in the Arab world for 2 years and I know what I'm talking about.

The truth is that they died of disease, Mecca is always over-crowded every Hajj period so it's very easy to contract disease especially the common flue. That's why the Saudi government has enforced the Hajj permit this year which costs SR4,000.Illegal pilgrims would be dealt with even though they have their Iqama.

mrs_acidtalk: * Took a bike from VGC to Ogba around 6:30pm, only to get there and her phone was on silent. By the time I return to VGC, I saw 57 missed calls from her and 18 text messages apologizing (she got married to a guy who begged me to let her be with him 3years ago)*

*can remember how I used to go under heavy rain just to call my girlfriend who was schooling in the North then (she is getting married in 2 weeks time*

* was foolish to have bought a wrist watch of N45,000 for a lady when the most expensive one I have ever owned was N30,000. By the time I ended the relationship after 2 1/2years and took account, I had spent over N500,000 on her and NEVER got even a pencil from her (she still tries to beg but I have told her to stick to her present boyfriend)*

*Took a flight around 11:45am to Abuja when I had a presentation to do by 6:00pm the same day in lagos just to see her in the hopital. Though I made it back for the presentation, she never told me she was married and only seperated from her husband*

Inshort, I have been a sucker for treating my women right but the truth is 99% of them don't deserve it.

WOW! can't believe men like this still exist shocked spending over N500,000 on a girlfriend (not your wife o) cry some guys dey fall my hand sha

tbaba1234:

Against the teachings? Id just give you one ayah, that should settle that...

Good and evil cannot be equal. [Prophet], repel evil with what is better and your enemy will become as close as an old and valued friend, (Surah 41:34)

That means the teachings of your prophet are contradictory!!!, in one encouraging peace and the other advocating violence by fighting those who fight against you.
Quran 22:39-40
Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought, because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory.[They are] those who have been evicted from their homes without right - only because they say, "Our Lord is Allah ...".

Prof kenny: If Jesus so followed Judaic Law as said by tbaba1234, why did he say the following:
Mt 5:43 ¶ Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate
thine enemy.
Mt 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them
that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Mt 5:46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans
the same?
The same can be seen also in the gospel of Luke chapter 6 verses

32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.

33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.

34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye?for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again.

35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the
Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

36 Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
The above is against the teachings of Mohammad who commanded you to fight those who fight against you. Now, were they sent from the SAME God?

Prof kenny: I saw this in one of the Islamic Hadiths - This should tell us some things about the TRUE life of Mohammad:

A man came to Allah's Apostle while he was in the mosque, and he called him, saying,"O Allah's Apostle! I have committed illegal sexual intercourse".The prophet turned his face to the other side, but that man repeated his statement four times, and after he bore witness against himself four times, the prophet called him, saying, "are you mad?"the man said "No". The prophet said, "Are you married?"The man said, "Yes". Then the prophet said, "Take him away and stone him to death". Jabir bin Abdullah said, I was among the ones who participated in stoning him and we stoned him at the Musalla. When the stones troubled him, he fled, but we overtook him at Al-Harra and stoned him to death.
Source: Sahih Bukhari Volume 8,Book 82, Number 806.
we can compare the above judgement of Mohammad with the Judgement of Jesus below:

4 They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.

5 Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?

6 This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

8 And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

9 And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
Islam for Muslims / Re: When Someone Insults Islam: How To Behave by Profkenny1(m): 5:21pm On Aug 09, 2012
The old testament is different from the new testament. You will NEVER see the word Christian in the Old testament. The word Christian was FIRST used in the New Testament in Acts 11:26 when the people saw that the life of the disciples of Christ was similar to the life of Christ himself. CHRIST-ian.

Christians are to follow the life and teachings of Jesus Christ while Muslims are to follow the life and teachings of Mohammad.

Well, it's quite unfortunate that it happening this way but in any case, something has to be done. First, you have to be praying for him and encourage him to pray as well. Again, i think he has so much fear about the exam esp as it is a final year exam and this is not necessary. Talk to him that he will only be examined based on what he was taught and nothing more and hence there shouldn't be any fear. Exams period is always a happy one for serious students because they know the time has come to prove who you really are/were before now. There is no point going for sleeping tabs for him, what is actually happening to spirit is fear, anxiousness and nothing more. But right now, he needs some rest and how? Drugs may cause him to become addicted over time, alcohol is still going that line and he should stay away from them. So what? Give him a Bible, he should start reading it from Genesis 1 forward lying face-up on his bed with a pillow and holding the book upward and reading it. He should put behind whatsoever he was thinking in his mind and just concentrate with it. His room should be only with a fast blowing fan (no air-conditioner). He'll sleep. When he wakes up, he should eat well and then go to playground and play his best game to satisfaction. Take a warm bath, start reading the Bible again like a novel from where he stopped with same room condition and he'll sleep again and even better now. At times, over seriousness in school/anything may be a problem. Better still, he should be attending tutorial classes to become more grounded. Watch tutorial videos too. But a day should not pass without him playing/catching funs to ease his temperance. I think i should stop here. He'll perform magic during exams. Goodluck.
