Wike is only agitated because he wanted to corner the machines but did not want to pay th ehuge sum of money required to pat Taxes (Clearing, Demur rage, import duty, e.t.c) on it.
Recall that under the GEJ administration, there was a "waiver" for the machines, which has lapsed.

So, what Wike tried to do is use the Nigerian Airforce to "clear" the machines (by asking them to take CUSTODY..... not OWNERSHIP!), and then after a while, turn around to REQUEST they be returned to him/his Govt.

By acting swiftly, the Customs Boss, nipped that "Wike-wayo" in the bud as the Aircraft now are the PROPERTY OF THE AIRFORCE.
Wike cannot request for then any longer!

This is clearly a trespass of executive powers.
Senate is not empowered to legislate on Customs tariffs and duties.
Only the Federal Ministry of Finance has that power. Not even the President.
The Budget Office draws up tariffs and seeks the approval of the Presidency before it becomes law.
I can't find the Senate in this process.
Oversight function does not include override.

If nigeria is a country that works, do u think we'll bulge? All d taxes that d government gets from private companies and corrupt politicians, what has it been used for? South Africa is miles ahead of us, Nigerians are running to Ghana, BT if this is implemented, we'll regret it because it'll b abused.
