PoliticsRe: Omokri Reacts To NBS Report That 10m Nigerians Lost Jobs Under Buhari by profosa: 9:23am On Dec 23, 2017
i lost my job with an oil servicing company more than a year ago because of the company near insolvency.is buhari responsible for my job loss?

let me answer the question by analysing how the company got into the mess?

1.Fall in crude prices and subsequent price adjustment by IOC's for existing contract

2Naira-dollar exchange rate fluctuation, dollar loans that can longer be serviced
3.Tax issues and increased regulatory environment.during the boom years of 2009-2014 taxes were not paid and recent increased regulatory activities is forcing companies to pay those money

4.Most oil servicing only make money from trading activities rather than investment.and the trading profits are usually moved offshore whether nigerian or expatriate it is the same
5.abuse of expatriate quota, imagine we had lebanese cooks,chef,baker...

Do i blame buhari then,no,our country is seriously messed up.the changes we need that can.bring jobs back would take alot more time under our democracy.

PoliticsRe: See The Combination That Shall Send Buhari Back To Daura- Pictures by profosa: 1:23pm On Dec 12, 2017
my sincere apologies, your analysis are childish and myopic.I lam neither apc nor pdp.however, note the following:

1.I lost a lucrative job several months after buhari got into power mainly due to his policies and sluggishness

2.I have been working in mines in rural location from calabar to sokoto, agriculture projects in rural areas as per a real hustler.

so I have been interacting with a lot of nigerians in more than 25 states in rural areas.the followership of buhari from even igarra in edo state down to sokoto is fanatical and religious.I dont think any northern politician have that level of fanaticism except may be kwankwanso in labor

the yorubas, south west and even some states in south-south can never vote for a party been controlled by woke.dont forget if buhari does his 8years,osinbajo may be pushed as the next president

the east has not unity of purpose, ojukwu lost his elections there.

the magic of n-power,5k and free lunch is very popular in the rural areas, and farmers are doing better in the economy

buhari a sitting northern president cannot easily lose an election he is not jonathan.all those fantastic figure from rivers,akwa-inimical,delta would not happen again.were is the money to share 2
k to 5k in the last election in benin city.

unfortunately, buhari has created a good rapport with most state governors, even wike was there to see him when he came back from sick leave, how many governor was seeing eye to eye with jonathan when the last election held.any governor coming back for a second term would support buhari at least more paris loan refund.

if atiku is presented,I know those in the nigerian oil and gas industry that would raise funds to make sure he losses, intels have created a monopoly and created more enemies on the way.

buhari would not lose the election, even in the south most just want him to do his 4 years and leave for the south,if atiku or any other northern pdp member win that is another 8 years.

obasanjo factor is there.and the voter apathy is the south generally would increase .I have reasons not to want buhari but he would win the next election, you can take that to the bank.

Don't forget 5% VAT,5% WHT. Don't forget this supplies may be partly mobilized and then paid after delivery('may be days, weeks or months or even years depending on your contact').Won't you earn interest on the money you use in getting them.A New petrol toyota hilux on cheki.com.g is N15.5Million.

Would you do a supply that you are not sure when the balance would come and not mark-up by at least 20%.

Most state governors have achieved more than FG.

Look at the achievements in every state and compare that to what FG has been able to achieve. If you consider thar FG collects double what states get, you will conclude the states have tried with their little
FG does not collect more than state.in short if you add what state collect and local government they even collect higher than federal.

NextGovernor:
I keep telling people that Oshiomole did more harm than Lucky in terms of embezzlement, crime rate, Thugs empowerment, downgrade educational quality, contract inflation and High debt profile.

He deceived people with his brilliant talks and always attacking PDP 8 years regime to cover any of his wrong doing during his tenure. Just like the way Buhari and Co are doing right now.
May God treat your life the way Lucky Igbinedion and Family treated Edo State. Please if you want to be taken seriously in any of your comments don't put igbinedion and Oshiomole in the same sentence,it is an insult to any well educated Edo Man.

PoliticsRe: ARMOURED HELICOPTERS : GOVERNOR WIKE REVEALS THAT RSG HANDED THEM OVER TO NAF by profosa: 12:07am On Jan 29, 2017
This issue is simple legally, imagine you imported a car into Apapa port,You could not pay the custom duty and relevant levies to clear your container,on or before, you start seeking waiver from the president to waive your duties or levies, meanwhile NCS has gone to COURT to get a forfeiture order, and thereafter auctioned the car to MR A.do you now go to MR.A thereafter and tell him that you donated the CAR to him.The CEMA Act should be read properly before commenting on this issue.

That it was not properly declared/imported.
That they are not clear about who imported the machines.

if there is anything specifically you have in mind, please make reference to it.

Wike is only agitated because he wanted to corner the machines but did not want to pay th ehuge sum of money required to pat Taxes (Clearing, Demur rage, import duty, e.t.c) on it.
Recall that under the GEJ administration, there was a "waiver" for the machines, which has lapsed.

So, what Wike tried to do is use the Nigerian Airforce to "clear" the machines (by asking them to take CUSTODY..... not OWNERSHIP!), and then after a while, turn around to REQUEST they be returned to him/his Govt.

By acting swiftly, the Customs Boss, nipped that "Wike-wayo" in the bud as the Aircraft now are the PROPERTY OF THE AIRFORCE.
Wike cannot request for then any longer!

Badt market for Wike

Guy you understand the game this politicians play.

PoliticsRe: Senate Stops Ban On Importation Of ‘Tokunbo’ Vehicles Through land by profosa: 3:11pm On Jan 11, 2017
ZACHIE:
This is clearly a trespass of executive powers.
Senate is not empowered to legislate on Customs tariffs and duties.
Only the Federal Ministry of Finance has that power. Not even the President.
The Budget Office draws up tariffs and seeks the approval of the Presidency before it becomes law.
I can't find the Senate in this process.
Oversight function does not include override.
Somebody enlighten me please
I think education is a major problem with Nigerians.Let me repeat myself lord the NIGERIAN SENATE CANNOT BAN OR UNBAN IMPORTATION PROCESS OR TELL CUSTOM WHICH OF HIS PORTS TO UTILIZE FOR WHAT.IF YOU LIKE GO TO COTONOU AND BUY CAR AND THEN TELL CUSTOM AT SEME BORDER THAT THE SENATE HAS UNBAN THE POLICY.U GO CARRY THE CAR FOR HEAD ENTER SEA.

Government becomes more accountable when revenue source is tax based and not revenue based.I hope you have read about the dutch diseases. The more people in our tax base, the more active participation in our political process.
thoollz:
Bros u claim to b a prof and u reason like this?
If nigeria is a country that works, do u think we'll bulge? All d taxes that d government gets from private companies and corrupt politicians, what has it been used for? South Africa is miles ahead of us, Nigerians are running to Ghana, BT if this is implemented, we'll regret it because it'll b abused.
PhonesRe: Emefiele's 3 Minutes Call Tax Is Economically Wrong - Telecom Companies by profosa: 9:47am On Nov 27, 2016
Nigerians make me laugh a lot.Ghana's VAT rate is 15%. see http://www.gra.gov.gh/index.php/tax-information/value-added-tax

Meanwhile we pay 5% VAT,the lowest in West Africa, still yet a lot of Companies do not remit anything to government.

Ghana's Telecom Tax rate is 6%.see http://www.gra.gov.gh/docs/info/cst_act.pdf

But Nigerians, no telecom tax because they are waiting for 2.2million barrel per day of oil to feed.God please crash oil to $5 so that Nigerians would wake up from their slumber.Tax is the only sustainable way to grow your revenue not Oil.

South Africa pays 14% VAT and 5% Fuel charge.while would Nigeria be different because of your miserly 2.2million barrel per day for a population of close to 200milliom
