Delafruita: dont spread ignorance around. The Nigeria Governors forum went to court because the FG was illegally deducting from the ECA in the name of emergency which is why the governors insisted that rather than FG spending tbe money, it should be shared to all the states. Besides of the entiee amoubt, the FG got 55%. What stopped Iweala from saving that? Didnt they also spend/loot it? How is federal funds illegally deducted, dint the approved signatories to the account sign? The economists (NOI) at the helm of affairs then speculated the fall is global oil prices but the ignorant governors dint, hence we are where we are today Besides how many of the states are able to pay salaries today despite collecting that fund? |

Then Gov Amaechi and APC Helped to Destroy Nigeria’s Future:
In January, 2013, Nigeria’s Excess Crude Oil Account had over $10 billion in it. Then, Governor Rotimi Amaechi, led Nigerian Governors, under the umbrella of the Governors’ Forum and asked the then, President Goodluck Jonathan to share the money to the states. Jonathan and his Minister for Finance, world renowned economist, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala insisted that NIGERIA SHOULD SAVE THE MONEY FOR THE RAINY DAY.
ROTIMI AMECHI led the governors in taking the Federal Government to court.
Jonathan’s led FG offered to settle with the governors out-of-court by sharing $1 billion and saving up the rest for Nigeria’s children.
The governors rejected the offer. They wanted it all! Since the law mandates that the proceeds of the ECA is shared, the court gave judgement in favour of the governors and the$10 billion was shared!
FG lost, Nigeria lost, our children lost… essentially, we all lost!
Isn’t it foolhardy to find deluded Nigerians cursing and insulting GEJ for not saving and turn round to call Amechi and APC Saints?!
Sometimes, I feel like screaming into somebody’s head! |
Politics › Re: Before You Condemn PMB And Praise GEJ Concerning Fuel Scarcity, Note This by Progress2468(m): 9:53pm On Apr 07, 2016 |
bloodyBLOGGER: One of the major problems wrong with Nigerians is that we forget easily. This is the reason why hardened criminals and looters in the past can easily come back and contest for public office to the extent of winning. It is so sad that some people, mostly youths who are the leaders of tomorrow are going about with the slogan "#BringBackOurCorruption". They say they want the last administration presided by Good luck Ebele Jonathan back in power cos they can't stand the current fuel scarcity amidst other challenges that I believe the Nation will breeze through in due time.
This brainwashed blind bats who love to view things ethnically are quick to forget that the fuel scarcity experienced towards the end of the last administration's tenure was really unbearable compared to what we are currently facing now. Then, major sectors were shutting down, from telecommunications to the media, from aviation to banking. Nigerians were literally cut off from the rest of the world during that period. A period in which getting a bus to the bank to withdraw money was difficult cos buses had no fuel. When you manage to get to the bank, you are told you arrived late cos they close early due to shortage of diesel. Was the power sector any different?
Take a look at the pictures of fuel scarcity events that took place in the last administration below and tell me that Nigerians didn't make a good choice in voting them out. Dude what we had then was fuel scarcity, now it's not scarcity rather we have what I term abnormal increase in fuel price These cooperate entities are paying for the fuel at whatever exorbitant amount and costing it in their services So its in no way better now |

hylyne: Op here are my thoughts...
1.it was during her father's regime that, we recorded 0MW of power. 2. It was during her father's regime that a sachet of pure water was sold at N20 3. It was during her father's regime, that we started paying high for darkness. 4. During her father's regime, so many companies collapsed, hence there was massive retrenchment. 5. During her father's regime, investors left Nigeria for the fear of insecurity. 6. It was during her father's regime, that $1=N400.. 7. Nigerian was totally grounded during her father's regime.
U can add urs.
With these points, op u can be sure ur post was not needed in a political room. Romance should have been a better room Administration not regime You use regime in a military govt Although calling this Administration a regime may not be illogical |

Akpabio remains the biggest fraud out of the SS after GEJ and MAMA PISS. He built and inflated irrelavant projects to loot the state dry. He is a failure in my opinion [/size] He looted the state Dry yet Akwa Ibom still had N8bn (Highest) after deductions while some state that were not looted had N6m |

Politics › Re: How Nigerian Government Imposed "Illegal" Electricity Tariff On Nigerians by Progress2468(m): 8:35pm On Mar 30, 2016 |
oluwaniyi66: what do u know about Electricity Tariff ? ask a power system Engineer to analyze the whole system for you. you will realize there's a need for you to pay more. you people pay to the distribution and generation company leaving the transmission company. In other to stop that, electricity Tariff has to be increased so as to compensate the transmission company. you must also pay for the power loss during transmission not just the power you consume at your different houses( not pay as you consume but pay as they generate ). I hope you understand what i said. thanks Sir I work with one of the Discos, and i can tell you that it's purely a "scam" or corruption in disguise. Generation and distribution was privatised transmission is still in the hand of govt. Now there is a fall in oil price, depressing even the economies of households, and the government thinks it's the best time to rip citizens of their hard-earned cash to perhaps fund its budget Those who do the business of transmission should bear the risk of the business not pushing it to the customers |
