Hi everyone, I have an upcoming event in Owerri, IMO state. I already book my plane ticket to owerri on Monday. I just learned that there is always a sit at home on Mondays in most of the eastern state. Here is my concerned , how come air peace still fly to the zone on Monday , knowing fully well that there is a sit at home. Also, will this affect my movement from the airport? I will like anyone who reside in Owerri to enlighten me on this. Thanks.

It is important to note that the NIGERIAN CONSTITUTION does not prohibit DUAL CITIZENSHIP. However, Section 66(1)(a) of the Constitution stipulates that any person who has VOLUNTARILY ACQUIRED CITIZENSHIP OF ANOTHER COUNTRY, apart from Nigeria, SHALL NOT BE QUALIFIED FOR ELECTION INTO THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT.



Therefore, if a Nigerian citizen holds dual citizenship and is interested in contesting for the office of the President, he or she must renounce their foreign citizenship to be eligible to contest.


IMPORTANT QUESTIONS FOR NIGERIANS TO ASK:

i. Is the news about the President-elect having dual citizenship true or fake news?
I can authoritatively confirm to you that the news is 100% true.

ii. Was INEC aware of president-elect dual citizenship status before announcing him winner?

iii. What are the implications of having a Guinean as head of state? Whose interest does he serve?

iv. Can he be sacked by the Supreme court?
Yes, absolutely.

remove the ashewo part. Fayose has never been an ashewo politician. He remained a very strong PDP helmsman till lately when PDP started messing up big time. Remember during Buhari's first term, the only opposition we knew was not PDP but Fayose, Reno and FFK.
