Petdaughter: Hi Guys, I got a very sad call this morning. My cousin lost her 3 year old son yesterday. The little boy was playing in their compound with other kids, no-one knew when he left the compound and then stepped on a soak-away slab. The slab was not stable and he fell into the soak-away. Everyone gathered and tried to get him out but unfortunately he had swallowed and inhaled the waste. The poor boy died. I feel so sad and unhappy about this. Pls dear moms, try to be alert towards ur toddlers and kids, one split second can make a world of difference. This is the most heart breaking news I've ever heard Cos I have a 3 year old son myself. May God continue to protect us and our little ones from harm. Amen! May you take comfort in knowing that you have an angel in heaven. I extend my most sincere condolences to you and yours |

vcole: Hey! Fancy meeting you here all the way from the other missionary thread. lol! Well, I am yet to start an application......still sitting on the fence. Anyway, we do not evaluate our credentials through WES. its done through MCC Canada. Check out their site for info. www.mcc.ca Thus far, i have gathered the following info as regards an MBBS ECA. 1)open an account on www.physiciansapply.ca a $278 non-refundable fee is charged. 2)request for a source verification (svr) of your qualification on the physicians apply site (this is done through ECFMG). It costs $157. 3)Send MCC a copy of your mbbs degree and a cover letter (downloaded from your physicians apply account) via courier. 4)2-3 working days after receiving no. 3, ECFMG sends a request for a source verification of your degree to your school via regular mail (with a copy of your degree, a form to be filled and a pre-addressed envelope). If the school does not respond within 60 days, they will send another request to the school. At this point you can opt for a courier delivery to your school. They will only repeat this step 4 up to a maximum of 3 times. 5)ECFMG responds to your school and processes your verification within 20 working days and then you can proceed to step 6. 6)Request for an ECA from MCC. this would cost $102 and would take 21 working days to process. 7)Pay a courier fee for delivery of your ECA to Nigeria (about $140). Note that step 2 may take as long as 100 days or more seeing as most Nigerian schools claim not to receive this mail. To speed up your process, you wanna keep tabs on your school right after ecfmg requests for a source verification and ensure they check their mail and then you pay for a courier delivery back to ecfmg. |

mohammad2016: Not even once help me
Dear Friends, Could you please advise? Which is the better to pass and enter Texas, through IAH airport Houston direct, or take 1 stop flight to New Your, then take internal flight to Houston? Your opinion will be helpfully A direct flight to houston is fine as long as you are armed with your burden of proof, but if you don't mind the slight inconveniences e.g the baggage allowance for local flights are much less than international so you might end up paying for the excess if you have 2 bags of 50lbs. |

girlloom: My dear, coming here was a massive mistake. I am 30 and this lady is 34, I knew I had entered one chance when she told me to attach Aunty to her name and uncle to her husband. Few weeks after I arrived here, I had a chat with my husband on bbm that I was being treated like a maid, this lady went through my phone while I was sleeping, read the chat and got upset. My husband made me apologize to her for invading my own privacy. Despite the fact my pregnancy was high risk, this lady turned me into a semi maid. Things I haven't done in my own house I have done here. She once instructed me to warm food for her 2 year old, my son started crying and I went to attend to him, she asked about the food and I told her my son was crying, her response was 'so you left my son's food because he was crying, let him cry now' Her son comes back with all sorts of sickness from daycare, she gets upset when I try to protect my child. Now my son is ill, caught a bad cold, thanks to her son sneezing on his face severally. I have had sleepless nights in the past 2 days and will have to take him in tomorrow and pay as we have no insurance. Back to what happened today, she said I was ungrateful because I asked why they opened my son's envelope...imagine? My husband delayed in sending money for his visa and that's the only reason I am still here. Her husband was able to pacify her to let me stay saying what would people say back home. Let me also add that she keeps saying she and her brother were very close before he met me and I want to change him. I plan to change my ticket to the earliest date possible and I am still going to call the IRS. Apologies for my uncoordinated rant, I am upset that I am in this kind of situation. Left my spacious house to come and chop insult in this cabin. Hmmmm, its obvious she is 1 of the troublesome ones, and hubby can't take a stand cos it's his sister and It's their house, since damage control didn't work there's no need to pamper the issue call the IRS just before you leave so whatever investigation would be done when you r back home cos as it stands you can't stay there on your next missionary journey so you might aswell just do the needful. I have to give it to you tho you are very patient and calm having endured all this for close to 4months beats my imagination Am sure you are better informed now,and on your next trip if it's only your accommodation money you can provide then you get the choice of where to stay and not been stuck with individuals that feel they can walk on water because they provide you with food and a highly tense accommodation you can hardly breath in. #Changeyourdateandcomehomeasap# |

LadyGuinivere: 1. Nos 1 and 2 . Read back the first page of this thread. 3. That would be dependent on your pocket level and again if you are travelling with hubby to help babysit. 4. Read the thread and get a general idea of which month people travelled. Last last, u weigh ur medical history against the pregnancy travel policy of your flight . 5. Again. Dependent on your research. Some folks got all their docx ready in 2-3 weeks and left back for Naija because they were prepared. Read up on process for documentation . I'll see if I have it somewre and post for u. If not somebody may be kind enough to do so. The more u stay back , the more u pay. So your hardwork will determine. 6. You can stay with family if u want. The most important thing is that u prove u can pay for ALL your treatments. 7. Read the ist page of this thread. There's a list of hospitals/link. Get your phone loaded and start calling. 8. Go to the US embassy website for process on dropbox renewal Wow,i want to be like you when I grow up |

Apple19: Good day mamas. Pls for mamas using Huggies DIAPERS (Bought from US) What is the difference between Little swadlers, Little Movers, Snug and Dry ...e.t.c. Also, there's one called Ultra, and the Other just Huggies....pls I dont just get it. need to buy but am so confused. Huggies little snugglers are slightly more expensive, softer and are of higher quality,it also has d wetness indicator strip as oppose to snug and dry which is not as soft.ds used snugglers till 4months or so without issues however every poop was a blow out with snug and dry,i finally settled with little movers,we haven't had any leaks,i guess movers are for older kids tho not sure,IMO they all do the job and if @all there is a difference it's insignificant, just try to stock up on bigger sizes as they grow out of them fast. |

Are there mamas that don't go through this? Please what's the secret? It was like this with my first too and it didn't stop till I stopped breastfeeding. On top all the correct latching and Co. So sorry to hear that, are you sure baby is latching properly?the mouth should almost cover the areola if not completely cover it,thereby there is no strain on the nipples, you can rub a lil BM on the area every now and then. You can also try getting a nursing pillow.I hope it works out. |

Onlineise: Thanks fam...tbh right now we gonna pray for the best and prepare for anything. In as much as its not a do or die tihingy i am prepared to do all in my humanly power to make this possible for the LO without breaking any law. The worst that will happen at POE is "Go back home" and as for the finances God gat it covered. Like i mentioned earlier all this started because we felt been upfront n honest would mean something. I know couples that did dropbox that got thiers with no story and even at POE went in without declaring. To these couples now we look like mumus cause they frantically warned us not to pick interview.
Anyhoo, at POE we gonna stick to the truth and leave the decision in thier hands, once again whats the worst that will happen? If i become a "Dangote" tomorrow will they not all line up offering one investment route to citizenship or the other.
I dey go church this thing dun dey pain me again.
Cheers Don't worry,i cant say i understand how you feel, but I know without a doubt that it's cases like this that God proves himself more than faithful,my ears are already itching to hear your testimony. God always rewards honesty. Go for it cos ur lo is worth the risk. |

teeteekay2367: hello Guys
have been a silent reader just want to share my experience,we had our first child in NJ in 2012 in a private Hopital we had a bill of 17kusd and for the baby 2.5kusd ,we paid a total of 7k usd in btw the two bills, our visa expired 2014 .my wife is pregnant again and we applied for a drop box to renew our visas ,but she was called to come for an interview alone wthout me, in our first travel to the us in 2012 we told them at the POE that we are there to dleiver,
can her interview have sumtin to do with the unpaid bill some one pls advice .her interview at the us embassy in abuja is next week. Wow Let me see if I can give my 1 kobo, Was the 17k bill discounted?if it was and you got a zero balance from the hospital, doctor, paed and anaesthesia then wifey is good to go for her interview. If the above is not the case then postpone the interview give the hospital a call and explain your case and let them know you would like to settle your outstanding bills and you are ready to pay cash and if they would be kind enough to give you a discount(if that's even possible considering you have messed up already)they would most likely tell you the bill has gone to collection ,please insist on paying the bill if you are financially capable @ the moment,if not ask for a monthly payment plan. That said wifey might have to forfeit this missionary journey to fix the already existing issue, and plan better for future Trump babies .You create your own fate by your actions, try to make a well informed decision, you already made a mistake FIX IT. |

helovesme: I'm sure the other mothers that told the lady (even before I posted) to reduce the scoops of formula as they also think that's what's responsible for the constipation are not feeding their babies with aptamil so this isn't "an aptamil is the best" debate. IMO,i think it's ideal to follow the manufacturers instructions as to how many scoops per ounce of water, too little powdered infant formula may not provide your baby with enough nourishment,my advice is to loosely fill the scoop with formula and level it off with the leveller provided, and if baby is still constipated try other brands,am sure one is sure to settle with his tiny tummy. |
