mohikeX: Hi All,
I am new to this forum.
I need help on how to obtain the Australian PR. I studied Electrical Electronics Engineering but I do not have any relevant field experience.I however have over five years of Internal Auditing experience, three of which were at a Big 4 audit firm.I also have two internal auditing related certifications.
I have done extensive research on the assessing body which is VETASSESS,however some terms are not so clear as regards the suitability of my education qualifications being that my course of study is not related to my work experience.
I am at the point of making payments to VETASSESS for the skills assessment and i do not want a negative assessment.
I am hoping i would get good feedback on the possible way forward from people who have gone through this kind of experience and obtained their grant.
Many Thanks I am not a prophet of doom, Vetasses outcome may not be favourable, but Electrical Engineer with EA and without work experience will fly. Hopefully men of the same feathers with you in this forum will assist you. Some have already flown to Australia. |

wondaboi2010: Got my test result today
Speaking 88 Listening 82 Writing 78 Reading 76
Thank God cuz i now have my 20 points to collect. You are really very close. Try work on the re-order paragraph of Reading section and the other parts that contribute to Writing section. surely, you will hit the golden score on your next attempt. Thank God for you that you have gotten the trick to demolish (small but mighty) Speaking section. |

Azy123: Has anyone done Scored Ptepractice test since 5th of September and got his/her result? I think they have issues with their site, tried to do same but saw the red warning of not being able to present results on time due to some technical issues. I have postponed taking the mock test till next week, hopefully, they would have resolved the matter. |

MofePR: Hello,
Please any idea on the point in use for nurses? The occupational ceiling is about 17,000. Does this mean a nurse with EOI of 60 points could be considered first before an accountant with 75 points assuming they both have the same DOE?
cc Mamajaz, AussieMrs, Bellong Yes, but also depends on the number of nurses with points greater or equal to 60 points on the same DOE. |

It will also be great if we all can have the real cost (in Nigeria not the one on Pearson's site) of PTE- A
Some of us were stuck with R because we thought there was no alternative.

Misoke: Sorry just to get it clear...when you sent your eoi does not really matter as long as you rank high in the pool?like if someone sent eoi with a score of 65 in March 2017 and another sent eoi in June 2017 with a score of 75...the candidate with the higher score gets ita irrespective of effective date of eoi? Until the cut off points drop to 65 before the march candidate will be invited (assuming occupational ceilings have not been reached)....pls my people just help me clarify because some occupations are highly competitive That is correct if you are in the same occupation with the person. However, somebody nominating an occupation that is less competitive with 60 points (e.g Agric. Consultant) can get an ITA before another person nominating an occupation that is more competitive with 75 points (Accountant general) assuming they both have the same DOE |

koleefem05: Yes, I saw it. But have you checked anzsco search to see that no state is nominating it? I guess If you are qualified for 189, state nomination may not be pertinent, except you are bereaved of cumulative points. |

koleefem05: There is no offer for a Zoologist or Zoo keeper if you have checked anzsco search. So check you eligibility and requirement for a customer service manager or any other related occupation. And below are the related occupation to Zoologist ZOOLOGIST is part of 23 occupations moved from STSOL to MTLSSL this month. Therefore 189 may be applicable. |
