the holy book (the bible) itself encourages industriousness. By the labour of ur hands you shall eat, you shall be happy and prosper. A li2 sleep, a li2 slumber and poverty will come over you in a terrible way. These are words from the book of proverb. He who has an ear, let him hear. That hubby of yours is obviously very indolent. Just pray and have faith, cos u're stalk in the relationship already. For better for worse, my dear. It's well. |
OlowoTee:welll said my dear. You just said what i had in mind. If we reduce the rate of corruption in naija, i believe we must have passed the level of using cctv and other micro chips. |
musKeeto:looooooooooool, but seriously are u trying to say in essence that brushing in d kitchen is hygienic? |
@poster, for me i'd say it aint as bad as you see it. There must be a very good reason for her attitude. I guess she has put so much into the relationship and has also made up her mind to love you sincerely. What do you then expect, i'm a lady and i know exactly how guys behave. You guys aint ever tired of oogling at pretty ladies out there, forgetting the fact that you've got an angel right beside you. If you ask me, i'd say you've got a sweet and loving caring. This girl needs her love to be reciprocated but she ain't getting enough. Just shower her with much love. And it must be from your heart oh! |
dudumadu:lol, of course i inderstand you perfectly. Sometimes, i can't help but wonder about the attitude of some people. A simple question deserves a simple answer, instead of beating around the bush. |
Egocent:you are just beating around d bush. I asked a simple and straight forward question, and i expect a concise and straight forward answer in return. Are u saying in essence that there ain't ugly ladies around? And good ones at that. Nobody is perfect, we all have our flaws. |
Besides, in this day and age, who's to say who is ugly or not. A lot of "beautiful" women are only that way because of makeup and for those who can afford it, plastic surgery. An adult female doesnt have to be ugly unless she has no makeup skills.
seriously, is that what you think? Well, there are still some irreparable looks. No matter what you do, it just wont work. A woman's beauty may only be enhanced by make-up, if she is naturally beautiful, or if she has a face that embraces make-ups, otherwise, i'd completely disagree with you on this. |
Princek12:hmmmm, you have a point here but lemme add that if u choose a lady simply because she is beautiful and you overlook her flaws, i bet you, later on, the euphoria of her looks willl just pass away and u'll be brought back to consciousness. My dear, looks matters to some extent no doubt, but it's not always about the looks. There are other vital things you must put into consideration. Is she caring? Will she be there for you when the ships are down? Is she well brought up? I could go on and on. The list is endless. |

daywatcher:lol, yeah, everyone is entitled to his/her opinion. It's a free world my bro. Nuffin do u, |
keep the thread coming people. Different strokes for different folks, i must say. |
I cannot really comment on this from a man's point of view - because men definitely think different from women as I am finding out ALL THE TIME. But I can say from a woman's point of view - that I want a man who knows how to act, who has etiquette - his looks come second to that. But I also know that looks are definitely subjective. What turns me on in a man FIRST is his behavior, his views and his voice and how he smells. I have seen some men that would be considered "not so attractive" by others - and he was a HUGE turn on to me. Also - as I am starting to get older - I am noticing that what I thought was attractive when I was in my teens and early 20s - now I don't value as attractive anymore. I just love very masculine, deep voice, serious acting men. I am not turned on by men with high voices unless they sing in a very high voice - I like to hear that on a song but I don't want to sleep with it or date it.
yeah, shy gurl, u're on point dear. I perfectly understand u. Okay, lemme rephrase d question so that you can speak your mind from a lady's perspective. A handsome but arrogant man and an ugly but down-to-earth man, which would u prefer? |
Comprehension is important. Let me repeat. An honest man will tell you that he prefer a beautiful woman over an ugly woman with perfect manners until it becomes unbearable that he will get another woman (beautiful woman) to replace the first one. I mention nothing about replacing because of looks but whatever it is that unbearable to him.
Mrs Chima, sorry i got it twisted earlier on. But you don't have to sound like you know all. |

sexsinners:so, are u saying in essence that u'd prefer d beautiful one regardless of her ill manners? Woooooow, at least you spoke ur mind, |

But not all men would dump their wives for someone else simply because they realized how ugly she is. I believe that when the love exising between the couples is real, the man would stay with his wifey no matter the situation, for better for worse!!!! |

Good Girl:yeah, i understand perfectly d point you're trying to make here. But i just brought out one in many cases. Afterall, what i'm saying is very practical. It happens, so i expected a straight forward reply from you, and not deviating from the topic. Thanks anyways!!!!! |
@Anti-sex, some worwor no get part 2. What i'm trying 2 say in essence is, no matter how much u spend on some ugly chicks, it wont change a thing about them. They're still gonna look fugly all d way, |
hey nairalanders, there has bin an age-long controversy about this topic. So, i felt i should spill it out to know what you guys think. You know, it aint easy to get a complete lady, ( though there are almost perfect ladies out there, beautiful, humble, well-mannered, responsible and all that). But many attimes, we find some things really unpleasant about someone once we get real close to people naturally. For instance, you get to meet this very pretty lady and to your utmost disappointment, she lacks manners and she is lazy when it comes to house chores. On the otherhand, you get to meet an ugly lady, and everything about her seems like a dream come true save for her bad looks. Which one would you prefer for a wife? Reasonable contributions is whole-heartedly welcome. Thanks.verything about her seems like a dream come true save for her bad looks. Which one would you prefer for a wife? i fink enugu, asaba, some parts of lagos are just kool 4 raising kids. But most importantly, parents-children relationship matters most! |
that's a gud 1 ur excellency. But pls, remember the corpers in that state. D state allowee is nuffin 2 write home about. It's just 2 meagre. |
@poster, u're just a typical example of a pot calling a kettle black. From ur replies pertaining to this post of urs, u said u love this lady dearly and that it would have been easier for you to leave her if it involved " 1 of your ashewos", so it means u may also be a cheat, same as your girl. But not 2 worry, i've got some tips for u. 1. Your gurlfwend is obviously a bi-sexual. Maybe you should just sit her down and have a heart-2-heart discussion with her. Watch her attitude afterwards, if she turns a new leaf, fine. Otherwise, just leave her for good. @ Julian, you have a high level of maturity. *thumbs up* |
shit happens all d time. But i will advise the woman to keep the baby. Afterall, she desperately wanted a child. Adultery shatters marriages no doubt, therefore, the woman should tell her hubby the truth bout how everything started and what brought about the pregnancy. You never can tell, the hubby may choose to father the child, ( seems unlikely though). Otherwise, the real father of the unborn should be ready to accept been a father and should take responsibilities for his actions. Why on earth did he go into a sexual relationship with a married woman? This life we are living is obviously mysterious!!!! |
hmmmmm, truth is there are nice guys and there are wolves in sheep clothing. As a lady if u come across a wolf in sheep clothing, and u get ur heart broken, u cant help but fink there isn't a nice guy. So even wen a genuinely nice guy walks up 2 a heart-broken lady, she will simply show her indifference, which is very normal. 4 d guys, just be urself, some1 will definitely luv u 4 who u are. |
rotflmao. Dis thread is soooooo funny. Nairalanders are simply d bomb. Jeezzzz, d comments are even more hilarious than d story. Some1 shud plsss rescue me cos my ribs are serious cracking, hahahahahahaha. * still laffing**** |
hmmmmm, this is so terrible and shocking. Why are human beings this bad? Some people are seriously huzzling on the streets trying to make ends meet, others are looking for fast means of making money. I'm more than glad that these kidnappers were caught. Also, the nigerian police did a very gud job this time around. *thumbs up* to them. I pity the poor old man though. He should seek medical attention as soon as possible. |
na wa oh! All these stories we are hearing is all because MJ is a star actress, otherwise very few persons would have shown interest. She is only human and should be allowed to live her life d way she wants. Right now, everything depends on the 'prince okojie' or whatever in question. He should be bold enough to end dis feud b/w these 2 women and act like a man dat he is. |
