Politics / Re: South East Is The Safest Place In Nigeria This 2024 by PROUDIGBO(m): 8:53pm On Feb 02 |
gidgiddy: As much as i agree with you, i think this post is ill-advised as it may make those instigating and engineering attacks in the south-east to restart their evil activities in the region! If my memory serves me right, the south-east was ranked the safest region in the last two national security reports, and there are some who will not like this as it defeats their aim of trying to engineer a climate of fear and insecurity in the region in order to blame IPOB and Mazi Kanu, and so they can gloat and say ‘Igbo are killing Igbo because they want Biafra’! 2 Likes |

Beautifulday: Don’t mind the guy! Probably that’s what he and his hegemonic ilk had in mind…..ie, to incite a religious war if, like-play-like-play, all their manipulations and rigging couldn’t prevent Peter Obi (the actual winner) from being declared winner! |

I’ve just seen it’s the impostor ekpa dolt that is purportedly organising this ‘online referendum’! Was going to vote in favour of secession until i saw his name! I don’t trust that bastard any further than i can throw him! |
Politics / Re: Biafra: BRGIE Begins Self-referendum Voting For All Igbos by PROUDIGBO(m): 8:59pm On Feb 01 |
Chivisee: You play a obvious game of diversion and pretence! Why would anyone think Peter Obi (i take it that’s who you’re referring to in your post) would be the one organising this referendum!? Not a few people (yours truly inclusive) see as naive and too trusting, any Igbo who thinks they can become president of todays Nigeria through a free and fair electoral process in which the will of the people will be the major consideration in determining who wins! Peter Obi, though a good and honest man, is a naive Igbo ‘one Nigerianist’! I supported him to emerge president more in hope than expectation! The people in support of secession and this referendum are those of us who are pragmatists and realists, and have woken up to smell the coffee! For as long as there are power-hungry, bigoted, greedy and insecure hegemonic elite in Nigeria, for so long shall Nigeria continue to stumble in the dark, maintain a fractious relationship amongst its constituent parts, and continue to plot against any Igbo becoming president….like we saw in the last charade that passed for a presidential election! 4 Likes |

My uncle was a Prof at UNN up until the early 90s, and lived at Margaret Cartwright street…..close to the VCs residence. I remember our first family visit there and how well he lived…with two cars, nice parlour and a fridge and lader filled with good food and drinks! Nigeria has happened to the once mighty UNN, as it’s happened to just about everything else in the country….that is, with the exception of the bank balance of the thieving politicians and their acolytes! |

It’s hilarious seeing both sides of the argument not wanting to backdown or give in to the other sides bullying! They’re polar opposites apart and as soon as one side delivers a punch, the other quickly responds with equal venom! At one end of the divide, you have the Soludo is the best thing since the invention of sliced bread brigade….and at the other end of the spectrum, you have the Soludo is annoyingly slow and his projects annoyingly local crew! I think there’s merit in both sides of the argument, but i’m still prepared to give the governor an extra year before giving verdict! For now, the jury is still out on this! 1 Like |

BluntCrazeMan: I'm not surprised! I've always said Nigeria is one big crime scene.....a gangsters paradise (apologies to Coolio)! How does anyone expect the rule of law and justice to ptevail when the likes of Tinubu and Uzodinma are benefitting from the criminality!? I've long since given up on Nigeria, but the one of Imo state really makes my blood boil, seeing how a shameless thug and crook has seized governance in the state! 4 Likes 1 Share |
Politics / Re: There Is Plot To Assassinate Me Says Ipob Lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor by PROUDIGBO(m): 11:30pm On Jan 31 |
Knowing the kind of evil they’re up against, i believe him! I think Mazi Kanu and IPOB underestimated the level of desperation of the hegemonic north, their southern allies/lackeys, and their foot-soldiers (some of whom are actual soldiers as it turns out) to sink to any depths necessary to sustain the continued tortured existence of their ATM that is Nigeria! It was partly down to Mazi Kanu letting down his guard that allowed them trick him into travelling to a African country: his first mistake was thinking it was safe to travel to any country run by blackass Africans or Arabs! It doesn’t really come as a surprise that the oppressive Nigerian state -that claims to have a iron-clad case against Mazi Kanu- has been using their control of the Nigerian judiciary to stall proceedings, just so they can continue to hold on to him illegally without having to answer for their actions! The despotic Buhari regime ensured justice was delayed (and denied by implication) using their stranglehold on the Nigerian judiciary and this same method is now being used by the so called ‘southern president’ they handed the baton of hegemonic oppression to! It’s clear they don’t have a legal leg to stand on hence the resorting to extra-judicial/unorthodox means to ‘solve’ the Kanu/secession problem! They have form in this regard….similar extra-judicial/unorthodox means were deployed to ‘solve’ the Dele Giwa, Saro-Wiwa, MKO Abiola, Kudirat Abiola, Patrick Yakowa, SARS, etc, questions! It’s a tried and tested means of silencing any opposition to their hegemonic control of Nigeria, so i believe Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor 100%! |

EmeeNaka: You waffle on and on without saying anything! Who are the Igbo people Mazi Kanu killed….and when/where did he kill them!? The only reason you intensely hate and fear Mazi Kanu is because you see him as a threat to the continued existence of your ‘ATM and inheritance’ that is ‘one Nigeria’! 2 Likes |

Lumidee007: If given a freehand, even i can drastically reduce the high spate of insecurity in Nigeria in just 6 months! The problem with Nigerians is that they think they can get different and better results doing the same thing over and over again! We all know what to do to change our fortunes for the better, but entrenched and powerful forces keep on preventing a total overhaul of the system because they’re benefiting from it…..and because they’re thinking of the freedom and advantages the ‘hated competition’ stands to gain! 1 Like |

GeneralOjukwu: Rubbish! It’s just like a boy that’s just been thoroughly beaten in a fight…and in floods of tears, telling the boy who’s just whopped his ass that he let him win just to ‘play on his intelligence’! Dude, Peter Obi beat the crooked godfather in the last presidential elections in Lagos DESPITE all the rigging of the electoral process deployed against him! This was what made the emilokan camp shit their pants and subsequently throw caution to the winds as they went for broke….deploying all manner of threats, physical attacks, ethnic-baiting and rigging to ensure the peoples will didn’t triumph again in the gubernatorial election that was to follow! That Tinubu was roundly and soundly rejected in the last presidential elections in the state tells you all you need to know about how he and his party are perceived in the state! Both him and his boy Sanwo-Olu are prancing about with stolen mandates! |

CandidAdmin: Leave Igbo out of it! Let those who ‘won’ the uncivil war and who blame Ndigbo for all the woes of Nigeria….those who have controlled the political-economy since the late 60s….let them be the ones to lead the charge in changing Nigeria to the safe, secure, peaceful, united and economically viable country you all would like it to be! The moment Igbo get involved and the effort gets sabotaged from within by the usual suspects who want to protect their loot and criminally acquired privileges, some wouldn’t hesitate to heap all the blame on Ndigbo and add that to our list of ‘sins’! Fact of the matter is, had the other ethnicities supported Mazi Kanu in confronting the ruling hegemonic establishment, Nigeria would have been better off for it today! But some can’t see or reason beyond their hatred for Ndigbo! They see Ndigbo as ‘conquered slaves’….’3rd class citizens’ who’re beneath them in the pecking order! Some power-hungry bigots sold you all a dummy and made you lot believe a questionable character like Tinubu would take Nigeria to the promised El-Dorado! 8 Likes 1 Share |

They would NEVER have been caught, named and paraded had we still been in the Buhari era! Their contacts in the army and police barracks (where they probably go to hide) would have rescued and spirited them away under the guise of ‘federal authorities taking over the case’, and that’s how everything will die down and be forgotten….with the bereaved left behind to mourn the loss of their loved ones! Before the cursed Buhari regime, it was unheard of that northern/Fulani criminals could operate anywhere in the south with such brazenness and impunity! When i argue that a lot….if not most of the insecurity going on in the south-east is imported/engineered, i know exactly what i’m talking about! There are certain kinds of merciless and disgusting crimes Ndigbo are not known for, which only started after Buhari became president, and which some people are desperate to pin on us to help further their anti-Igbo propaganda campaign! 26 Likes 5 Shares |

Politics / Re: Is Colonialism The Primary Reason Why Africa Is So Poor? by PROUDIGBO(m): 1:36pm On Jan 28 |
Black Africas' major problems are the forcing of disparate and heterogeneous groups/ethnicities together in the same country; the replacing of neocolonialism with colonialism; and the rise of a oppresive indigenous political ruling class who suddenly came into so much wealth, power and privilege when the colonialists left and imbibed the oppressive mindset of their former colonial masters! As the colonialists left in the 60s, the black African political class moved into the recently vacated mansions and GRAs of their former colonial masters, and this was bound to have some kind of negative effect on their pysche! |

pocom35: Your entire post reeks of conjectural claptrap yet you have the temerity to ask others to 'be reasonable and not emotional'!? Mazi Kanu was kidnapped in Kenya and has been held unjustly for years in your 'just Nigeria'.....with your 'just federal gov't' employing all sorts of delay tactics and tricks to stall the trial of someone they'd have the world believe they have a cast-iron case against! The same 'just federal gov't' is releasing murderous terrorists who they claim have promised not to be naughty anymore! The entire sordid affair would have been laughable if it wasn't so tragic! You see all the criminality your wicked Nigerian security are engaged in, yet you're fixated on trying to label IPOB as 'criminals'! A peaceful secessionist organisation that's only interested in a referendum aimed at freeing their people from the hellhole of 'one Nigeria'! What's your ethnicity and which of the three major presidential candidates in the last election did you support? I want to check something! |

One after the other stands up, says their preference and sits down for the next, and unsurprisingly all you hear is 'doctor...lawyer....engineer....pilot.....footballer.....afrobeat star....etc'! They all mention the usual careers and professions....except this one boy who stands up, and when you ask him what he wants to be when he grows up, he confidently answers 'olopa' with his full chest and sits back down again!
