I don't blame hausafulanis.

I blame yorubas, benues, sobos & a section of south south like ikwerres & ijaws.

Na their foolishness dey responsible for this animal farm we are living in.

They rather live in abject servitude or receive a hand out like dogs for the rest of their lives than break a sweat for their freedom.

You are a freaking hypocrite like your forefathers.

Who are the people that formed alliance out of selfishness and greediness with Hausa/Fulanis in 60s at the expense of all Southerners? Igbos

Who destroyed our regional system of government(true federalism)? Igbos

Who formed d second alliance with the same Hausas/Fulanis after killing millions of your kinsmen mercilessly? Igbos

It's a good thing that Igbos are reaping what they sowed; you wanted to control others by forcing Unitary system of govt on them but as God ll have it, Hausa/Fulanis hijacked it and continue to use it against you.

If you are not happy buddy, call for another war.

That's his decision to build or not to as it is not limited to him alone because I can name countless Nigerians who have their investments established outside Nigeria.
We are talking about N/D vs Nigeria and not the other way round.
Wonder why people are fast to mention asari as if he is the only man that put a structure outside this country?
Bro if most individuals should bring their well established businesses home, believe me you won't see youths roaming the street worthlessly.
Like i said earlier is not between Asari and Nigeria but a whole N/D region vs Nigeria.
And am not by any means supporting him for that act of his but want to concentrate more on the importance of the message.

I have repeated this here time without numbers, there nothing like Niger-delta when it's time for War. I only pity the Ijaws being pushed by Igbos.

Igbos had tour that path and regretted their actions.

The past conflicts between the militants and Nigeria military was mere riot. I pity the Ijaws when Nigeria military finally decide to kill them like chickens.

Creeks could only accommodate Asari and his likes during a mere riot but in a full war, Creeks becomes a plain battlefield where bombs become an hourly thing. The Ijaws ll see their Bayelsa and cry.

Ojukwu who was well trained in one of the best military school in the world with other finest Igbo officers thought that it was going to be an easy battle going by Nigeria govt attitude to internal conflict.

Ojukwu even went on live TV to tell the whole world that Nigeria state would be shocked as to what was coming for them but unknown to him that a child ll be left to put his finger in burning candle in order for dat child to learn his lesson.

It ll only take just 4 days for Nigeria military to wipe Ijaws out of existence. Let them go to Odi and ask......

Di Ijaws youth think Asari us stupid when he took his business to Benin. Asari knows what we would befall that region in eventuality of war.

I pity Ijaws when they say Niger-Deltans, Do Ijaws expect Itshekiris, Edos, Urhobos, Egberis to support them in any war against Nigeria state? impossible mission. I guess they need to sit down and read Nigeria history very well before going into any war. Ijaws story would be worse than Igbo case after the war and Nigeria would completely leave them out of scheme of things after the war.

Have a new country today - Biafra, it won't change your situation until Igbos realise what they are doing to themselves and their unborn generation.

No investors from other regions and other countries around the world would come to the East cos they are freaking tribalistic and greedy. It's all about me attitude which is obvious to the whole world.

However, you jumped at the issue by saying the man has no right to do this and that............

It's obvious the lady in view is irresponsible going by the fact that the custody of the kids was given to the husband. And if that is not the case, she must have probably abandoned the children to her ex-hubby in the first place.

Spot on.

I remember stumbling over a conversation where teh girlfriend of my ex was practically encouraging her to break up with me yet she was not married herself at 30 as at then.

Today after 2yrs she still refused to do the needful saying she has no money for divorce. height of stupidity and this goes to show how dumb many ladies who think they are hot can be..if you are so hot i guess you ought to see a man fast enough after you leave your marriage who will help you finance your divorce..

I just advice this lady to reconcile if it is still possible before she realizes the hard truth.

Most men will want to have the freedom to test other waters and leaving him will give him that opportunity while you may end up been taken advantaged of by men who just don't care about you but will take advantage of your vulnerability.

Most men dating divorced ladies always make it look as if they are doing these women a favor which is appalling in itself.

Are you Tokunbo by name?

If you are, you are my name sake

If there's no restraining order against you, he has no right to do that.
It is not even up to him to tell you what to pay. All that should be settled in court. Do your research and hire a competent lawyer(I don't know if you will find one on nairaland)

You will hardly see a lady coming up with solution to their friends' marital problems. All they do is to add more problems.

Politics / Wrong Assertions That Need To Be Corrected In Nigeria by proudlyhandsome: 12:32pm On May 21, 2015
WRONG ASSERTIONS THAT NEED TO BE CORRECTED:

It is self-deceiving telling yourselves as Igbos that you are a match to Yorubas in terms of business, education and regional economy.

I won't dispute the fact that Igbos are perceived as business oriented people but it's just a wrong assertion going by real fact on ground. The question is what brought about this assertion? Igbos travelled to other regions of the country to establish their business while Yorubas mainly travelled abroad for studies and businesses. This ability of Igbos to travel to other regions within Nigeria state was what bring about their presence in the North and the West. Hausa/Fulanis are not equally left out when it comes to bussiness; these guys owned all the Sabo Markets in the South, West and East. What Igbos and few others failed to understand is that millions of bonafide citizens of these regions are into different businesses before Igbo even imagine to come to their regions.

Pls, Let's take Lagos and Ibadan as case study here, Igbos often believed that their numbers in Lagos markets is smting to write home about simply cos of their numbers in Alaba, Ladipo and Idumota forgetting that Yorubas are the ones holding down all the numerous markets all over Lagos states. After all, Alaba,,Idumota and Ladipo is not even up to 40% of all the markets in Lagos states.

Permit me to deviate from Lagos Markets to Europe/American Markets just a little bit so as to give you a true picture of what is going on, i am still wondering why Igbo keep deceiving themselves by calling themselves business oriented people when they couldn't even extend their business prowess/skills to Europe/North America countries. 80% of Nigerians' businesses(From Chartered Accountants firms, Law firms, Restaurants to Grocery stores) in these following countries - Canada, US, UK and of course Ireland are owned by Yorubas.

Let's go to Ibadan-Oluyole, Ibadan has about 3 largest markets - Gbagi, Bodija, Oja Oba/Orita Merin Markets in the whole country(Google it) just like the 4 biggest markets in the East - Ariaria market, Aba, Onitsha, Ogbete. However, these three markets in Ibadan are purely dominated by Yorubas just like the 4 markets in the East. Having 96% domination in those three biggest markets in Ibadan and the rest of markets in Lagos(except those three aforementioned markets: Alaba, Ladipo and Idumota-share by Igbo and Yorubas) with those ones in the rest of Yoruba states, then how dare you compare our BUSINESS ACUMEN to Igbos. It's an insult to us as bigger Nation.

Let's talk about Industrialists in the country today, Yorubas and Hausas/Fulanis have completely dominated that sector of our economy; no doubt about it. These two people are sitting on top while Igbo are struggling to climb the ladder. However, I am not expecting you to accept this as fact but I want you to look around you and see who and who control industries in Nigeria(not this false assertion among Igbos just to make themselves happy).

Education- Education is a must in every Yoruba homes and Igbos have seen what Yorubas have been able to achieve with this over the years which informed their attitude of shunning out statistics out in recent time so as to disapprove d fact that Yorubas are more educated than Igbos. Have you asked yourself why Universities in the East have never been rated as one of the top best universities in the whole continent? There lies your answer bro. Quality education could only be obtained in the West Universities which informed the reason why they have remained the only unversities being rated among the best in Africa and few others from North and Mid West - Uniben and of course ABU. The quest of Yorubas for quality education is the reason why Yorubas are 20% of graduating students in Europe and America universities. If doubt me, attend any graduation convocation in all these countries I have mentioned and ask any of the students for their program brochures which has the names of graduating students for that academic year. Trust me, you ll be blown away by the numbers of Yoruba names on the list which rarely have 1 to 2 Igbo names.

Igbos travel, I laughed whenever I read/heard this wrong assertion being made by Igbos among themselves. I guess the ones making this assertion are ones that have never left the shore of Nigeria cos if you do, you ll definitely know how Yorubas have dominated North America and Europe over the years. US, Canada, Ireland and UK are completely dominated by Yorubas. Yorubas population in these aforementioned countries are running to millions. If you doubt me, go on the streets and Airports of these Europe and North America countries to see things for yourself. Igbos business guys only travel to China, Malaysia while Yorubas go to Dubai and China (few). However, there are numbers of Igbos in America but not up to 40% of Yorubas there.

Oil and Gas industry is a place you need to look into so as to know that it ll be a long journey for Igbos to catch up with Yorubas. Igbos could push all their Oafs, Drongo and Lummox(s) through their educational system in the East so as to match up with Yorubas in numbers but they can't bribe Shell, Chevron and of course Total to employ more Igbos to match up with Yorubas numbers in this industry.

Banking Industry is equally a pointer to who is dominating who.

The killer is Federal Ministries- it's like second home of Yorubas.

Peace out.

Get out from here! Yorubas are no match to the Igbos. Don't be fooled that Yorubas got ahead of the Igbos after the civil war because the Igbos were damaged by the war and at disadvantage.....that was the only reason Yorubas got ahead; coupled with the free education by Awolowo. I now understand the reason why none of Eastern universities has ever been rated among best d universities in Africa.

96% of these doctorate degree holders paid their way through.

Go to Oil and Gas industry to see who is dominating

Come to Banking industry- the only way few igbos were able to secure jobs in this industry was as a result of Igbo controlled bank.

Federal Ministries is more or less a Yoruba man companies.

Federal parastatals is the same story.

Come to UK and US universities to see the real truth

I ll post the pictures of students graduation list of two universities here in UK for you to see the true picture of what is going on. Thousands of Yorubas are in UK & US universities.

Yorubas are not competing with Igbos cos they are years ahead in terms of quality education; Igbos are the ones buying certificates, pushing illiterates through O' levels so as to match up with Yoruba supremacy as far as education is concerned.

WHY THE INSULT ..JUST ASKED A QUESTION

U HAVE SHOWN ONE OF THE REASONS ...LOL

I wouldn't want to use normal Yorubas on our streets to drive home my point cos it might be difficult for us to get the real statistics. However, i ll use Yoruba celebrities and politicians to drive home my point.

Can you tell me how many Yoruba politicians and celebrities are married to Igbo wives? None. Do you now see how stupidd you sound?

Read and read for your own good, Yoruba parents hate to see their children getting married to Igbos but the children of 21st century have changed the whole game now. They choose whom they want to spend the rest of their lives with either their parents like or not.

I have dated many Igbo girls right from my secondary school days and i didnt even know they were Igbos until we started dating. 98% of Yoruba guys u see with Igbo girls were not probably aware that these Igbo girls were Igbos until they started dating.

There are thousand Igbo girls out there in South West who were born and raised in South West; these girls can speak Yorubas better than bonafide Yoruba ladies/guys. And you won't even suspect they were Igbos until you start dating them. These Igbo girls could even speak Yoruba dialect of their place of birth in South west.

I dated an Igbo girl for 4 years before i met my wife and within 7 months i got married to my Yoruba wife for the sake of my children but she refused to see reason wt me. The Igbo girl nearly went mad and I never knew there was a love like that. I have read and heard about real love but never believe in it until I jilted this lady. She but poison and threatened to kill herself if I dished my Yoruba girlfriend................... Long story.

My point is that there are so many Igbo immigrants in south west with their daughters who could speak Yoruba language fluently and attend Schools with Yoruba guys without us knowing that they Igbos until we stated dating these Igbo girls

My assertion: Buhari and Osibanjo should stop telling us what we already know, and let's move forward. That's all bro. Peace!

War!!! It was all joke. I quite agreed with all what u said. They should go out there and get the ball rolling instead of complaining about what we already know.

After all, some of today's developed countries were once on their knees economically after 2nd world war. However, thank God for good leaders in all these 2nd world war ravaged countries; the stories of these countries were turn around economically and their stories are different today.

Jail them, hang them, burn them a hundred times over:

Biafra will surely rise to fall no more.
It is an insult to our a dignity as a people for slave traders to create a country for us.
We can not belong to a country where fellow country men wipe out the communities of fellow country men.
Nigerians are hypocrites.
They march against Xenophobia in far away South Africa, but keep mum when herdsmen sack communities in Nigeria.
We can not build a country where a child who scored 69% is denied admission while the one that scored 1% is offered the same admission.

We have the right for self determination.

As for Onwuka and his misguided gang, the problem was not with their ambitions, but with the method.
Yet, trying them and jailing them, only helps to make Biafra more popular.

Shame on Mr. Luggard, the criminal who founded Nigeria and his gang of brutish British slave traders.

I laugh at the Nigerian slaves who are beating their chest on this thread.
They, in defense of the legacy of slaves traders, rejoice at the pans of fellow fellow Africans!

Biafra shall be free, Africa shall break free from the shackles of slavery imposed upon us by brutal colonial masters.

Memoirs to Ojukwu

dear our amiable General,
The salve camp is worse now than when you were here.
The Jihardists up north are more on rampage than ever before: miming, looting, destroying and killing those they call infidels.
Some misguided Biafrans are on trial for daring to ask for our freedom and some slaves and celebrating the rials.

General Sir, our people are getting wiser by the day.
The awareness is growing.
Emm, Sir.
The peoples of the south south are now very ready to break the bonds of the internal colonial masters.

A tyrant from the Jihardists domain is taking over power soon, and the other slaves are counting on him to shade innocent blood in the lands of Biafra. They are fighting for oil. You know sir, the situation has not changed.
An Emir from Kano would own oil wells in Rivers while the man who owns the land is forced to go Abuja to beg for peanuts.

Inform Zik his "ONE" Nigeria is tragic and tell Gideon Orkar that things are now worse for his people.

Sir, the murderer called Gowon has been shamelessly going about boasting about how killed millions of Biafrans but ironically, his house is on fire.
The Jiharists are wiping out his people and there is nothing he can do about it.
Just be assured of this one thing, Biafra is ALIVE an freedom is very sure.

The purpose of the formation was meant to be like this; Biafra supports Arewa where she is lacking, Odua supports Biafra where she is lacking and Niger delta supports Odua where she is lacking and all come together to help one another economically just like what is obtainable in present day United Kingdom.

However, just three years into a newly born country, Igbo bleeped it up out of greediness, tibalism and selfishness (call me names but the plain truth).

The three regions were flourishing economically with healthy competition but out of greediness and tribalism, Igbo wanted power at all cost and ended up killing innocent military and civilian leaders on the streets.

As if that was not enough, Aguiyi Ironsi destroyed the whole regional system of govt by forcing Unitary system of govt over the rest of the country despite all the pleas from these same people Igbos tagged Born to Rule (Hausas/Fulanis) , Yorubas and MMiddlebelters. Hausa/Fulanis only used the opportunity given to them by Igbos by carrying on with Unitary system of govt. After all, Hausa/Fulanis never forced Unitary system of govt on us despite their numbers in our military institution in 60s but Igbo did with their few numbers.

With this factual history above, who do you hold responsible for this mess?

Please, put half of that blames at your doorstep first before looking toward Mr Luggard and rest of the country.

The earlier you guys have a round discussion over your quest for "Life must be all about me", the better for the entire Biafra state.

South Sudan thought that they would be better of as independent nation with their newly discovered land of Gold-Oil without addressing their enemies within who are the leaders. They are regretting their actions today cos the ordinary citizens were better off in their old country.

What life would be like in Biafra nation could be seen today in the present day of Igbo states (Enugu, Abia, Ebony, Anambra and Imo state) if you are very conversant with partitioned Nations(Pakistan and Indian, Sudan and South Sudan, old USSR) around the world.

The present day Igbo leaders who are more greedy than the rest of politicians from other regions(I said this cos they have never stand together against/in favour of a course together) would still remain your leaders in your new Nation and i m very sure that they won't suddenly become born a again christian who wouldn't steal your commonwealth then.

These guys look like they need serious rehabilitation. The prosecution team should just withdraw the case and let these guys go back to their families for mercy sake and to conserve govt resources. What harm can these guys possibly cause?

As an aside, i find it amusing that the prosecuting counsel is named Mr David Kaswe while the defense counsel is named Mr Olu Omotayo. i find it very amusing considering the childish verbal brawls on this site grin

Nigeria is one after all cheesy

You are congratulating a small boy for impregnating your older mama cousin when they are not legally married..hehe.

Nawa

When virtues mattered, someone like momodu wouldn't be allowed to make contibutions in issues that positively affect the society; he could come on the internet and congratulate an illegal union. Maybe he hates his cousin, I doubt if he would have done the same if the lady was his daughter

I hate it when i see idiott like this who comes online to rant and drool over what is not their business. Tell and show me how better your life is compare to the couple in view. Poverty stricken idiott.

What has become those who are married? Haven't we seen most of the so called marriages on their knees after few months. We have the likes of Funke Akindele, Tchidi Chikere, Ini Edo, Princess etc

This is one of the reason why poverty reigns in Nigeria cos you guys would rather save money over the years and spend all d money on marriage while a smart and vision driven ones would put the same money in business.

The last time i came to Nigeria, 98% Nigeria ladies wanted nothing but marriage while their male counterparts are not ready.

u northerners have no right to demand sympathy.didnt ur governors en senators resist declaring a state of emergency in those states initially?
a serving northern senator at the behest of the Niger delta issue after obj obliterated the odi community said that the people of that region are dispensable as far as Nigerias well being is concerned.
some of u guys ova dir killed southerners ova a cartoon of the prophet Mohammed which was done in europe. the list goes on and on
initially wen boko haram attacked mostly churches u guys conveniently overlooked them and now the chicken has come home to roost u nw remember karma. boko haram reached that proportion of monsterity because ur elites allowed it to.i dont care if its gej or buhari sponsored all i know is that if every northern man is devoted to d cause, boko haram wud b gone.lemme ask u again boko haram fighters en leaders are d not mostly northerners ?

I am speaking out and against the pains of my fellow human beings regardless what they have done to my brothers and sisters in the past. Where is our inbuilt empathy?

The victims of Boko menace might not even know anything about the killing of other tribes by Northerners youth in the past. Would you like to be called Drug traffickers, kidnappers, armed robbers, 419ner etc simply cos you are from the South? No I presumed.

The few among us in the South indulge in those aforementioned crimes on daily basis but that does not represent 10% of our total population; the remaining 90% of us are hard-working and resilient Nigerians whom i believed shouldn't be judged on the crimes of few.

If you refuse to show some empathy towards these Northerners' pains today simply cos of what you read online, heard offline or true event of what happened, then remember that your own days are coming and Northerners would laugh at you too. It then becomes a vicious circle.

Let's try to learn from the past so as to avoid the mistakes of the past. Take a look at this without tribal sentiment/bias. Let assume that this is what happen in 60s

There was an Igbo coup and leaders of other regions were mercilessly killed but Igbo leaders quickly come out and condemned the mass killing of other tribes' leaders, the ordinary Igbos in the North equally came out in their thousands to show their empathy to the Northerners and above all, Aguiyi Ironsi made the coupists to pay for their crimes just as it had been stipulated in their military act. Do you know that there might not be a reprisal coup in which Ibos military officers were sacrificed.

After this coup and counter coup, souls were lost simply cos we refused to show empathy when it was necessary as humans.

Do you know why Igbos are still target of Northerners youth? Do you know why Igbo loathe Northerners so much? The answers to those two question lies right there; empathy and apology.

Igbos want to talk about Biafra war and pogrom at all time but Hausa/Fulani/Kanuri want to know why you killed their leaders mercilessly. How do you deal with this? It's pretty simple....

Empathy and Apology ll resolve this problem without any stress. If you choose to do opposite and end up fighting each other, more souls from both sides would be killed and wasted for stupid arrogance.

Peace cost nothing while war cost the same lives you are claiming to protect and love.

Mind you, I am a Yoruba man not a Northerner as you had assumed before.

no need to curse any one.what goes around comes around? the east lost 3000000 to a civil war, the niger delta lost thousands to the millitancy crises.even hundreds died some years back in lagos to undisposed civil war arms .what about the thousands that have died in northern religious riots ?.its not like bokoharam er southerners killin northerners, boko haram er northerners killin their pals en even some of d millitary men who have died to fight them er from oda regions.
even though some pals have said something offensive it doesnt justify u praying ill of their regions

Past will always remain in the past. History of Nigeria shows that every tribe non Nigeria has done one thing or the other to offend one another so there is no need for one to say "I am a saint".

If one makes fun of these Northerners today, tomorrow might one's day.

You are a fool. Igbos have done worse than this in Ladipo market before and we didn't kill them for it. So what is d big deal about it?

If Nigerian army really meant business on that very day, no single Hausa man would have remained in that spot. I guess those army just ran their own errand.

It happens everywhere around the world you dimwit. We all saw worst scenario in Egypt. People resisting Soldiers is not new to us

Lagos is a no man's land
