kylexy61: So guys, thanks to God, I picked up my passport from the VAC yesterday with TRV.
I want to ask a question. My passport will expire on 21st Jul, 2020 and as such the validity period of the attached TRV is up to 20th Jul, 2020. I presume I will graduate sometime in June/July 2020 and since I would like to apply for PGWP after graduation, I have to renew the passport and study permit so that I can get the 90 days period after graduation, and have ample time to prepare and apply for PGWP.
I want to ask if I can go through the renewal process and get the new passport in hand in Canada without having to come back to Ghana. Secondly, even in Canada, do I still have to wait till 6 months to expiry before I can renew the passport? I want to renew the passport earlier so that it can be processed early enough for me to proceed the study permit extension. Sorry to deviate from your point of concern, please did they email you to pick the passport same day your trv was approved or did you have to wait for a separate mail and for how long? Thanks |

Omonoba1981: Not the ESL, The certificate program in Telecommunication Networking Technician in Saskatchewan polytechnic. I actaully sat for TOEFL but had a score of 86 , but one of them what 19 but they school wanted 20 + in all section.
But the polytechnic took me in for the certificate program. Don't you think the VO may bring up the issue of Purpose of Visit against you? They may allege that you are just taking what is available to you instead of pursuing a definite goal. |

Omonoba1981: I think I will go ahead with the application. Been away for a while to start preparing for another GCE and another year.
I am trying to get a very good sample explanation letter to back my certificate course and with the intention to further my education after that. There are option for advance standing to a Bsc program after that. How will you explain to the visa officer the justification of going for ESL in Canada instead of simply taking GCE? |

mcobex: Which medical report? You don't have access to your medical report as it is the clinic that have the right to send it to cic. The only thing you can attached when applying is your medical receipt/form and when the result is out the clinic will forward it on your behalf Complicated |

annaliese88: Submitted my paper application on the 10th of April at vfs Lagos. Both attempts to track my application using Vfs tracking info and linking my application online have been giving me a “No matched records” response.
I mailed CIC last weekend about my inability to link my application, but yet to get a response
Please does anyone have any solution to this? Or any prior experience like mine.
Appreciate your help Have you had a live chat with vfs? Check their Website daytime workdays |

jnyuwa02: To answer your question, yes absolutely one can be denied even with full scholarship from a Canadian university!! I have seen people on this forum with full scholarship denied student visa before. One that pained me the most is one student who got a full scholarship of 20k from USASK that was denied based on not having significant ties to country that would induce his return to Nigeria. It was a pity!! 20k yearly scholarship forfeited, applicant walked away a sad, a broken and defeated man! I always wonder what he is doing now!
Ps: people with full scholarship denied visa are clearly in the minority. A majority with full scholarship sail through. Hmmm. What does ties mean to those people sef? Was the guy an orphan? |

A quick headup. You are going for an MSc program, and you're telling the VO you want to apply the skills in your business? MSc is research programs, majorly for academics- industry RESEARCHERS. If you are business oriented or you want to work in the industry as an engineer, technologist, etc, go for M.Eng. |

But if you are a family man, Peace and tranquility of living out in the country might hold your fancy. Many Nigerians at WIndsor and access to Nigerian food and restaurant guaranteed. So much diversity. At Memorial everything white from the people to the snow! What of Saskatchewan |

JJJV: Martswoll you need to be calm and let things run it course, as advised here defer your program with the school. Get going an activity that will occupy your mind and only check your portal once or twice weekly. Aspire for other things while putting an eye on your application. I wish you your very heart desire. This Canada sef, they're doing shagara as if some of their provinces are not actually looking for people to come and stay. |

Lemia: It's not like I don't have faith but I'm being practical here. I had a supervisor who agreed to accept me but later on he stopped replying my emails and he later said he already made offers to other applicants. Also the graduate coordinator stated that if I don't get a supervisor, it doesn't matter what my profile is, I'll be rejected.
I'm not feeling bad about it though as I've already gotten a fully funded offer from University of Waterloo and I've applied for my study permit.
Thanks for your input though. Best wishes. In addition to ur offer letter, did u have to attach bank statements? What did u use as home ties? I have a fully funded offer too. |

Martswoll: Travel history 4 years bachelors program in Cyprus finished and came back last year October. 10 days tourist visa to The Republic of Georgia, 3 days transit visa turkey , entered the country.
Please guys is having a travel history a good thing or does it equally delay your application cos of background checks, cos I’ve seen people with no travel history get medical call or TRV faster between this March and April , I did Mum Biometrics on 1st March btw
Image shows my current state. Have deferred my May admission to September however. Did you apply online or via paper? |
