Sadly my application wasn't approved..... I have been a silent reader.

I submitted my application 6th of April(early hours of the morning), was able to do my bio metrics same day. Submitted an upfront medical report...... NB:online route.

Undergraduate abroad, had good financial standing from my sponsor. Am gainfully employed, with 10 months experience and still counting, after I got retained in the company I served in(a year plus 10months)

Was denied on the ground that the VO wasn't convinced I ll be back after my studies. NB there was a letter from my company to prove ties.

Please what else would I have added to prove ties?
Also what's the fastest way to get a gcm's note?
Sad. So sorry. Please when did you get a reply?

I applied April 11. I did upfront medicals.

Still on BG check and eligibility review. No update on medicals.
Do you feel inside you that its gonna be positive? Most likely.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by Prudento: 8:15am On May 30, 2018
Looks like applicants from April 10 are in two categories: Rejected or No reply. Ive not seen any applicants within this pediod got a medical call. I'm I right or wrong?
Please indicate where you belong let's know ourselves. Hehehe.

Read what you wrote up there slowly and ask yourself if you made any sense. Where's your warped fantastically corrupt mentality is coming from? If you are lazy to think, don't think everybody else is
It makes all the sense because you are thinking of innovating ways to misrepresent. You wish they don't check the account so you coukd lie that the money is meant for studies in Canada, then turn around and withdraw it for another purpose. Where I'm from this is called deviousness. You guys make things difficult for other Nigerians.

I think we need to know this, so we can start to sue our banks for breach of privacy. Why would a bank disclose my balance to any organization, except law enforcement agencies?
It's not always fraud. What is wrong in deciding to transact business with my money that will still be available to me whenever I need it? Must one tie down his money because of application for visa? I haven't come across anywhere in CIC rules that your money can't be used for other purposes pending when there's need for it. I think that's why some people are asked to either show evidence of payment or money in a Canadian bank account before a final decision can be made.
These are my opinions though
Now, this is a fantastically corrupt Nigerian.

In as much as it does not interfere in the decision, it makes them to hasten the process!! My wife's Dean wrote to the embassy when they were delaying and within days a decision was made. It was when she got to Canada that she saw the letter self. And then when I applied for my spouse open work permit, my wife's doctor in Canada wrote to the embassy that she would be undergoing a caeserian section and within days of writting that letter, a decision was made and my visa was refused. The letter does not have anything to do with their decision but it helps in fast forwarding the time.
Did they email the letter to the embassy handling the application?

I think you should see my letter written by my school and tell me whether it will influence a visa office decision or not. I am happy to share with you if you are interested. The prerogative is strictly with a VO to make its decision about a case I agree totally regardless of what a school says. But what a school who has made an award to applicant, depending on what is said, can carry strong weight and help in the visa decision. An evidence is on record already on my Gcms showing there is a back and forth between CIC with my institution (initiated by CIC), so it kinda goes against the claim that an application is strictly correspondence between an applicant and the VO.
USASK willingness to come into play in ur visa process is great news for you. Has your eligibility review now started?

But I thought it was been said that Canadian immigration don't check records with Africans countries only with USA, Australia and other European countries.

When did you apply for your visa since you said you're been delayed too?
If they check ur criminal records even at home country, why wouldn't they check other African countries? I hope u know background checks go even as far as checking the authenticity of your employment?
Applied April 11

Lol these are the countries I have been to; Benin, Togo, Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire

I was born in Côte d'Ivoire and I had almost all my education in Ghana though I'm a Nigerian
I said it. Your own delay is explainable. Not like some of us.

Eligibility review says "Your application is in progress..."
Background check "We are processing your application..."
You most likely have extensive travel history? If so I learnt they will have to grab your immigration files from those countries.

from the last time I spoke with the Graduate Admin. .they had not started evaluating my winter 2019 applications (that's the period I applied for) as they were just rounding up with the fall entries.
wait, so does that mean that my application file would still be sent to my potential supervisor for assessment despite her agreeing to be my supervisor?
Your supervisor will review ur application and recommend u for admission. If she does that, u are as good as taken.

good morning bosses
please I have an issue. I was able to secure a supervisor at University of Ottawa for my MASC program. she told me to add her name when filling the application. since when I completed the application I have sent her 2 mails telling her that am done with the application and she hasn't responded. any reason for me to be concerned. Thanks
The person u should be contacting more often now is the Graduate Admin. Your supervisor will not see ur application until they have forwarded to her. Note that some graduate admins may not forward ur application without u disturbing them.

Please gurus in the house... How long does it take to receive visa rejection/refusal message from IRCC. Will it still take the 8weeks processing time to get it or it comes earlier?

Also, would it be a red flag to apply for a study permit to study for a professional program without paying a dim for school as my acceptance letter states that i must have a study permit before i can pay my registration fee and register for my courses. I attach this document to my online submitted application on the 13th of April 2018 but yet to receive any update on my status.

Thanks
What is your eligibility review showing? Do u have travel history?

It's been a little over 4weeks since i applied tho.

Sorry Boss,
I applied on 28 February, did Biometrics on 1st March . Received medical mail on 10th May,
Did my medicals May,at the Children’s practice Ikoyi on Tuesday,15th.

After request from the CIC via my account, When do you think I’ll get an update on the medicals and passport request?

I applied through online route.
(Modify) (Quote) (Report) (Share)
I understand the outcome of your medicals would be updated at ur online account within 3-5 days. But on when your trv will be approved, CIC is the most unpredictable organization ive ever known. Lol
