May God bless #NnamdiKanu and punish Nigeria...

But the great citizen #NnamdiKanu was been unnecessarily polite when he called Nigeria a Zoo..
To me Zoo is far, far better than this hellhole called Nigeria..

You just killed hundreds of people just because of Allah.. No amount of pretence would convince any reasonable and unbiased mind otherwise..

PoliticsRe: Does The Current Violence From The Northerners Justify Namdi Kanu's Actions? by PRXPERT: 7:52am On Apr 22, 2016
oweniwe:
No 1: is not possible in Nigeria because of tribalism.... In other places where they have just 2 or 3 races/ethnic groups in a country it is easier to speak as one... But with Nigeria ... Everything boils down to tribalism...

During council/ward elections... Villagers are not one... Bickering over which section of the village will produce d councillor usually crop up... If a councillor gets "elected " and he is not performing... The councillor' s clan/quarter will not support other village quarters to remove "their son ".

At the local government level, it is same thing.

At State level... Let me use Delta as example ... Delta has over 8 ethnic groups within it... Urhobo, Aniocha, Ijaw, Isoko, Ukwuani, Ika, Itsekiri, Ilaje .... If the governor has urhobo father and itsekiri mother and his wife is from isoko... If the governor is corrupt ... Urhobo, itsekiri and isoko people will not allow "their son" to be removed.

So when it comes to politics/money matters in Nigeria ... Everything boils down to ethnicity .... They only speak with one voice if the representative is "stingy "...

2. It is not as if citizens are not asking or they are not complaining... I have told you earlier that complaints, protests and demonstrations amount to nothing in Nigeria because the law shields elected representatives... So if people protest, riot and demonstrate, it doesn't have any effect on a sitting political executive.... So it is somehow ... Useless to protest in Nigeria ... People have been protesting against fulani herdsmen... What has Buhari done about it? Nothing

3. Madam, you're speaking from both sides of the mouth... How can common people stone a political office holder with mopol around him? Prime Ministers in other countries resigned over panama papers but in Nigeria, has anybody resigned? If people resort to stonning corrupt representatives, you will say they're barbaric... They are primitive ... Etc... What you are advocating ... Here... It is called "to gang up against somebody ".. all the person you want to remove has to do is to form a rival support group ... That's all

4. It is like you have not served in or don't live in Nigeria ... That is why you say corpers should speak with "one voice "... Oh dear... You're so funny... Corpers are posted to different states, LGAs and PPAs... What happened to Rivers corpers does not concern a Sokoto or Enugu corper in any way... Same thing with corpers posted to different LGAs.

5. What is the meaning of this nau? .. if you don't change /amend the constitution of Nigeria ... To remove, stone, protest or sue an elected representative is not possible in Nigeria .. ...

All these things you are talking about... Holding representatives responsible et al... With immunity clause in the Nigerian constitution, it is not possible ... You will have to change the law/amend the constitution first...

And just like some people don't want the constitution changed ... You are against changing the constitution too... You want common people to hold their representatives responsible but you don't want Nigeria' s constitution to be altered to give the people /states/ regions more power... How will this work? ... How can you make omelette without breaking the egg?

6. So because Abacha/IBB are military rulers gives them liberty to rule anyhow? Because they are military rulers gives them justification to loot the the treasury, arrest and detain people anyhow they wish?

A democratically elected representative will use the same excuse to prevent people from holding him responsible ... The law says he is innocent until proven guilty... And since common folks cannot lay hands on evidences to prove him guilty.. he will go scot free.

So... Nigeria, the way it is, can never work... The earlier you admit and accept it, the better for you.

All we are saying is... Restructure Nigeria ... If you don't want Nigeria restructured... Then break up the goddam country ...!!..
epic!!!! you have said everything!

And please stop making it look like the igbos oppose the project that will benefit the SS, because in reality; the project only benefits the SW.

mapet:
Bros,

Your post is laced with crass ignorance and bile, this has probably robbed it of the intellectual value it should have been. Ibaka port is Akwa Ibom state project. PDP was in government for virtually the whole time the port was conceptualised, yet it never materialised. You should ask yourself why? You blame a government that is trying to get off to start for a supposed project (a state project for that matter) that Akwa Ibom could not bring to light? Meanwhile are these port projects not supposed to be private sector led?

Now my tots on the project is even different. The Akwa Ibom state government may not be able to muster the strength to pull it off as quickly as Lagos did Lekki FTZ Port and Airport. The two environments are different, Lagos is light years ahead of Akwa Ibom on all fronts and investors will see through these criteria to put their money.

Now to the Cal-Lag rail........
1. What still baffles me is that you lot seem so myopic that you cannot see the big picture. How can you be looking for the benefit of Lagos or Calabar in isolation when the rail line will traverse Calabar >> Uyo >> Aba >> PortHarcourt >> Yenegoa >> Otuoke >> Yenegoa >> Ugheli >> Warri >> Sapele >> Benin >> Agbor >> Asaba >> Onitsha >> Benin >> Ore >> Ijebu Ode >> Sagamu >> Lagos. Or do you think the rail line will fly on water from Lagos to Calabar?

2. Some of you people are your own worst enemies. How in the world can you say a rail project that is passing through 11 south-south cities is "aimed at diverting attention and those supporting it now, are supporting it because it's not a project that will give you (south south) economic independence, rather a parasitic one to lagos". What other development are you looking for? Are you going to force ships to a non-existent and not-to-be-in-the-near-term Ibaka port?

3. South Easterners like you need to ask yourself what do you truly want? 2nd Niger bridge, you complain, Cal-Lagos Rail you complain.........
you should go and look at the route properly to know exact rout where the railway line will pass through and stop pulling out things from your asssss!
people like me see through your antics, why are you lots using this project to divert attention of the populace to the obvious fraud committed by presidency on this budget e.. now y'all that haave been against Ibaka sea port are now supporting this project with an innate agenda, the point remains that South south priority for development is sea port and not railway..

@Obiagelli
I would advise you not to bother engaging some of these people especially as it concerns the benefits of this rail project. I was engaged in an argument this afternoon and I was totally appalled at what I encountered. A particular character specifically argued that a coastal railway would add absolutely no value to Nigeria's economy and that on the downside, it would destroy the 'sea front view' (whatever that means). He also went further to claim that a coastal railway 'would kill people by accidents,' lamenting that the amount of road accident we have is already enough and we shouldn't be adding other sources of accidents. shocked

At first I thought I may have been 'seriously' conversing with a 'Musiwa' a.k.a becomrich, grin but then it dawned on me that the person I was conversing with was just a hardcore ipob adherent. 'Some' of these guys are hell bent on opposing anything from this government, irrespective of its benefits. Some also do not want any major developmental projects in the SE or SS just to justify their irrational prejudice against Buhari; you sometimes read statements like "Buhari should take his projects to the SW and north and leave the SE&SS alone." But then again, there are even some who specifically do not want anything that links the SE to the SW or other regions of the country. It would be an impossible task explaining to some of these guys with this mindset the importance of anything called a railway. Save your breath!
I can not figure out how you reason!! You have no argument here, what concerns another opinion made by someone else with mine? let me stop here you don't worth the long epistle.

For me, I don't hide my opinion about things like this, I don't try to impress anyone or to be politically correct. I will allow you to bring up the ibaka sea project by Godswill Akpabio, you will discover the way some sections of the media propagated how unviable the project will be, they attacked and attacked the project to a halt.. now fast forward to 2016 a railway project was claimed to have budgeted for in this year infrastructure budget to a whooping sum of 60billion dollars.. choi! and the national assembly removed them because they are hindering the success of PMB (that's what they want us to believe)lol.. This same project was denied by Budgit.com at least they're somehow credible because they published the first budget when it was passed, stolen, padded and represented again (LWTMB! this budget don suffer what a funny country).
Now looking at the attention diversion strategy the conspirators of this drama, actually wanted to put the masses against nass, and absorb PMB from the blame. now ask yourself, why did the newspapers report that the Nass removed those project, ? "Mind you the main target here is Calabar -lagos railway line" the reason is to divert attention and blame...
Then on another angle, why is the railway line seem to be more important to calabar than to lagos?
what and what have changed on viability of calabar/akwaibom to host sea port, but railway line by some sections of the media propaganda. The answer is simple, the railway line is a project that's aimed at diverting attention and those supporting it now, are supporting it because it's not a project that will give you (south south) economic independence, rather a parasitic one to lagos...
why not use that same money to make all the coastlines viable for goods and services.. they will come and tell me how important the mirage railway line will be,but they'll never tell you same about ibaka sea
shine your eyes! this project is a poisonous project aimed at diverting a lot of things not only attention!
