Mynd_44: And if I choose to do none? Stop bugging me over a question I have answered and issued that has been resolved. Pagan9ja has gotten his punishment for that too and I dont see the point in bothering over a resolved issue.

Now stop trolling.
Please how has it been resolved? By Pagan 9ja being punished? undecided

And for crying out loud it's not a question, it's an argument. I'm really amazed you are having such a hard time figuring out the difference.

Like Alfa Seltzer has said, nothin has been resolved. You have just refused to defend your actions, refused to present a counter-argument, and refused to swallow your pride and accept fault. Please do one of these things to prove you are not entirely tyrannical.

By the way, I'm not trolling, I'm simply questioning your actions. There's a difference.

psky: How do you manage to do your job so well? tongue

I presented an argument to you with my conclusion being that ajibam's thread be closed. Either you do that or you reopen Pagan 9ja's thread. It is only fair that you do one of them.

If you disagree then you could like a mature human being present a counter-argument, and not ask me silly evasive questions.

Alfa Seltzer: He hasn't closed my thread yet. I was just asking premptively just in case.
Apologies! I meant pagan 9ja. Unfortunately I have mixed you guys up, it's still the same logic though.

Mynd_44: Dude, I have already replied you.
You haven't replied me.
Christianity EtcRe: Religion Complaints Thread (sticky) by psky:
Mynd_44: Different religions have different personality for the enemy of their deity. There is always an opposite to the supreme being and that personality is called devil, satan etc. how are you so sure the OP meant your God? All I see is a common name.
Actually the term satan is exclusive to Judeo-christian religions. And in the original post of Ajibam he mentioned the term seventeen times. Alfa seltzer's religion is Satanism, looking at the name alone it would be sheer ignorance to claim Ajibam was referring to another deity.

Fact is some satanists do worship the Satan of the bible, and so their enemy is Yahweh, the bible itself serves as reference. Therefore if you are going to hide threads that criticize one religion for the promotion of another you will also have to hide Ajibam's thread for insulting Alfa Seltzer's deity.

Last of all, I would like to correct you on an erroneous belief you hold. You said there is always an opposite to the supreme being of a religion, wrong. To an extent it was the Judeo-Christian religions that pioneered that system. Most religions just have several deities to appeal to for different things. There was no good vs bad mindset.

If you really want to keep moderating on this section you are going to have to educate yourself not just on the religion section but on religion itself.

striktlymi: I agree!

But not just any regular.
Of course, someone who's objective, mature, and an all round good example would be perfect.

The big problem though is convincing seun to allow you guys choose your mods. At times I think you only get some kind of response from him when you threaten his life or his means of making money. grin
Nairaland GeneralRe: Please, Seun Give The Religion Section The Mods They Need And Remove Mynd-44 by psky: 1:42pm On Dec 23, 2013
striktlymi: Mynd is now becoming a tyrant for God knows what reason. I guess doing well in other sections is no guaranty that one would do well in the Religion section. Placing bans on members for very flimsy reasons is no way to moderate.

Plus if Mynd cannot see how Ihedinobi's thread is ideal for the Religion section then I doubt his ability to moderate the Religion section effectively. I supported his appointment but now I am not 'feeling' him as I used to.
I had wanted to make a reply to your initial comment to ask how long you guys would wait for him to understand your section.

You guys need a regular, and that's just the fact.

captcochrane: i suddenly started lafin; u want mynd out? cant u guys see his signature ?

he's ready for u, since 1934, e ma pe nibe

anyways, pls oga mynd, pardon us
Like his signature somehow magically protects him from being removed.

You sound like a narcissistic supplier, definitely not what someone in power needs to succeed.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Please, Seun Give The Religion Section The Mods They Need And Remove Mynd-44 by psky: 9:26pm On Dec 22, 2013
Mynd_44: And how are you sure I was not at a party trying to mix dancing with keeping a section sane? Most people who gets banned come up with an excuse for what they did and replying all of them is not wise. He brought the issue here to other mods and the admin not me so I think I dont have to explain to him.
If that's what you think then you could just have ignored the thread, posting an emoticon is not exactly ignoring.

Besides, he brought up the issue for everyone to see, not just the admin.
And he didn't just go about insulting you, he presented an argument. You presenting a counter-argument in my opinion is the best thing to do.
Nairaland GeneralRe: Please, Seun Give The Religion Section The Mods They Need And Remove Mynd-44 by psky: 6:21pm On Dec 22, 2013
Mynd_44: The emoticon is me saying I am confused as to what he is implying na.

He said I banned him but I did cos he called someone an "Animal" he argued that it is not an insult but I think otherwise.

On his hidden posts, of his last 32, 4 were hidden by me, another by the spambot for duplication. Of the four, one was used to derail the complaints thread, another he called someone a "tool"(Fool), another an Animal and one a not so pleasant message to Ajibam.

So when he asks to be unbanned, I think I have the right to be confused
Great!

Now that you've explained yourself, you've let everyone know why you are justified banning him, and therefore why his actions are confusing you. And this is something an emoticon could never have done.

Hey mynd why don't you defend yourself when you ban people. Posting nothing but emoticons doesn't speak well of you at all, infact it would be better if you just ignored the thread.

But it would be best if you defend your actions.

Chai!

Life hard oh, see how both of you dey do "I better pass my neighbour" fight.
"You have one frontpage thread out of one hundred? Me I have three frontpage threads out of two hundred".

As far as I am concerned both of you need to create threads in the diaries section. grin

deejay_harry1: him.. grin grin
As in, I suppose know oh, chai! No wonder he dey laugh like that. grin

In most of threads he's the only one that comments sef, one post things throughout.

I'm sure getting more than three comments must be as good as frontpage to him. grin grin

Oga idrismusty sorry oh.
With students going to school the chances of getting those solid three comments had even lessened.

My advice to you is to create a thread in the diary section, where we will know it's officially only op posting things. grin

No mod have ever had the chance to ban me.. im very peaceful. grin
Now you're talking. cool

Anyway if it's like that then I think I've only been banned by one mod: humbledbygrace, twice, and I was unbanned by a super-mod those two times.

Remember, nearly half of the bans humbledbygrace gives gets revoked. grin grin

Abeg no be me talk am oh. grin

vanguard1: Okay, I forgot to do that, I will do it immediately. The voting kicks off by 10am 19th december 2013.
Do well to vote and campaign to be voted for.
But people have already started voting, and there's no way tpia could be a nominee for heroic. grin

Why don't you just make it two categories, one for heroic, the other for controversial.
When the real voting starts you could create separate threads for them, but now it's too late for that.

Actually he got lucky, Jaybee unbanned him.

But his lucky spell was short-lived, cause soon he started getting banned by the spambot.

Some nairalanders are just bound to be unlucky here. embarassed grin
Nairaland GeneralRe: 7 most unluckiest People on Earth by psky: 5:35pm On Dec 18, 2013
The ironic thing is, although these things make them the unluckiest, the fact that they survived also makes them the luckiest.
