budaatum: He really was not there long enough, but when he began throwing corrupt politicians in jail for like 200 years and we all began cleaning our neighbourhoods and yelling WAI at any one who didn't queuing at busstops and banks, we all believed Nigeria go finally better, and then that supercorrupt Babangida overthrew him and the rest is history.
A lot, I'd say. After all, there was absolutely no transparency whatsoever when Deziani et all were buying up Great Britain and USA and Dubai, though some might claim no evidence of such today is evidence of a lack of transparency. I myself cannot agree that Nigerians are blinder than we used to be though. But perhaps you have evidence I don't have?
True. It is better still to keep mum than to talk ignorantly about what one knows nothing about. Please go and check Int'l rankings and compare the present rank and that of GEJ. Only if we can go back to that "old good days". |
Politics › Re: Buhari: See What NTA Staff Said About Him In 1984: Throwback by psucc(m): 6:41pm On Dec 19, 2020 |
budaatum: No we were not! Like in 84 when Buhari took over from the incompetent Shagari who squandered the revenue from oil and is known as one of the more corrupt eras in our history, so did we elect Buhari to clean up the kleptocracy of the Jonathan era.
The pity is that Buhari seems to get power when Nigeria's revenue from oil goes down. Then ignorant people claim he is underperforming as if not listening to Joseph and saving in times of plenty has no consequence when the time if plenty ends and famine begins. Have you all so quickly forgotten the billions of dollars and pounds and euros in ghanamustgoes and tucked away in soakaways? The whole of Europe and USA and Dubai is missing your billions of petrodollars now, or don't you know?
We have not learned, it seems. One day in the future, someone will drag up this post written today, 19 December 2021, and be reminded that I am saying this is not as bad as you think it will get. You are living in heaven today compared to the hell you'll be living in the future, then will you know that fire is truly burning you
Time, as they say, will tell. Truly, the truth is very scarce. I am telling you that it is a pity you can do this to posterity. Sir, as you claimed, in 1983, Buhari overthrown President Shagari because his government was kleptomaniac, how best did his government fair, afterwards? Same claim that you voted Buhari in 2015 because GEJ'S administration was corrupt, what difference has this Government faired in terms of transparency? It is great sometimes to keep mum than to say half truth. |

bukatyne: Bros, you have to open your mind and look around you.
Not everyone is earning poorly.
Not everyone is struggling to survive in Nigeria.
Not everyone have issues funding group trips around the world.
A trip to any of these places by road would not cost more than N100k in a group.
Some entry fee to these places are N1k, N2k etc and there are packages for group.
She has fruits in some pictures, max N1k. Except you want to spoil yourself, you pack provisions and scout around local joints. The beauty of group trips is that people bring stuffs and the excitement doesn't make you eat much.
You get bulk discounts for hotels and other facilities with two sharing a room.
It is honestly more of planning than money.
The money you use to eat extra meat in the buka or a bottle of orobo coke everyday, throw it inside kolo and break at the end of the year. It isn't that I am too hard or do not know that people are blessed. I asked that question as a comic relief seeing the window she threw open. |

Quite interesting you tell the truth here. 1. Living under the care of someone comes with several restrictions and less freedom.
2. I am sure your Uncle or his wife must have been raising the red flag against "watching the UCL, PL, La Liga, etc but you ignore those signals.
3. For just no reason would he spend so much time outside when he knows he is living with someone and not his house nor is he feeding himself.
4. Have you made out time to meet with your Uncle and plead for forgiveness with a pledge not to repeat that mistake?
5. Sir you are even lucky to have an Uncle who could accommodate you and even send you to school. Some of us were not that lucky, even when we prayed for such opportunity. Therefore, you don't have to claim freedom in addition to free food. Even in Freetown, nothing is free.
6. Kindly approach him and plead. He is just a one among thousands with such a lovely nd heart.
7. If you know your education is important, take the humble pie, endure it all until when you're crowned. You move on.
8. Finally, you will not understand it all what your Uncle has done for you until tomorrow when boys become men. |

And nothing can be so stupid than such comments.
I keep saying the northern leaders knows better about Boko Haram, people fail to understand. Boko Haram was created as a version of the Militants in the Niger-Delta to help the North get their own share of the Amnesty. Unfortunately, since their religion is violence prone, they are unable to keep it from blood shed. Again, they see it as a way of furthering the spread of Islam as well as the Fulani hegemony.
The northern leaders are merely shedding crocodile tears. They know the truth. Until Buhari is ready, we'll continue to have his boys around.
Happy North! Happy Banditry! |
