No longer on AEX, reason being that they are still on Linux 3.10.xx while other have moved on to Linux 4.9.xx with some major performance gains. Still, it's still my favorite ROM and if then upstream their kernel to 4.9.xx I'm going back.

For now, I'm on SyberiaOS. Performance just too good compared to the ones I've tested.

Personally, I'll opt for Redmi 5 Plus which is what i use, Note 5 Pro, Note 6 Pro or add some more money and get the Note 7 but Redmi 7 is also a good option just don't like the 720p display. Can't use anything short of 1080p.

All phones listed have 4,000mAh and IR blaster as you requested. GoodLuck.

As far as customisations goes, AEX does it for me.

Performance wise ? syberiaOS (Reason why i haven't ported to another ROM in a while now)

RR is just there, nothing spectacular about it.

Nigerians as a whole think gaming is time wasting and for kids. Especially if you spend hours and hours on your PC or TV screen playing video games. This mentality needs to change before gamers start coming out of their shell.

I for one follow gaming news and updates with an average watch time of 3hours+ watch time on YouTube mostly on IGN YouTube channel, Streamers, game trailers (Sekiro gat me hooked btw) etc but I don't feel comfortable talking about these stuffs here because first, Nigerians are judgemental about gamers and two, no engagement like you said even if you want to discuss about gaming releated topics.

I still follow the board tho.

I no get link. Someone uploaded it to the Vince Offical group on telegram and i downloaded it and flashed it. If you're on telegram or WhatsApp, i can share the file.

The thermal config file are Vince ROMs on 4.9.xx Kernel Only since those are the ones having the heating issue. ROMs like AEX still on 3.xx Kernel don't it need this so make sure say you know the Kernel your ROM is on.

Lool Hope you flashed the thermal config file after flashing the ROM ?

Was having the same issue with syberiaOS until i flashed the thermal config file. Phone now idles at 30°C and tops out at 34°C when doing the things you listed above.

Depends on how many apps you're back in up. Mine takes 5-10mins for my 30+ apps.

I know you're a xaomi fan boy. I was just checking reviews on YouTube and I come across the phone. I'm not thinking of buying any cuz I still get contract with my phone for the next a year or two before even thinking of changing it. Can you say something reasonable about why they are cheap ? Have you taken your time to Google how much it costs to make one Samsung S10 device to see their profit margin on just one device ? You just need to understand that Samsung, just like Apple are just status symbols, not more - most people that buy it, buy it just to feel among. There are other better deals out there.

And to answer your questions, Yes i am a Xiaomi fanboy but I don't go around telling people Xiaomi is better than other brands, i just say it gives more value when it comes to price to performance than other smartphone brands out there and that would be me stating facts. You're even so surprised at the value that the only way to to stay sane is to believe it was poorly built. I've been there too.

Flash Bootleggers, RR and Xenon in one Night and i just wasn't feeling any of it and now I'm back to syberiaOS.

Unlock Bootloader, Root and Flash TWRP first. Use YouTube videos as guide.

After this, then you can choose which ROM you want to flash.

After few research on Google. Alot of people complain about the durability of the phone and discover xaomi don't do Research and Development. They don't take time to build phone. They just buy phone part and assemble them together and sell to the market. No durability for long time use. Updates cause problems to phone due to alot of user complain. Finally concluded there phone is not worth buying.

It's okay to be a Samsung fan boy. Just because a phone is cheap doesn't mean it's trash.

If Samsung S10 is better according to your research then by all means get one. But obviously you probably don't have the $1000+ dollars for it which is why you were even considering Xiaomi Mi 9 to begin with.

You just can't deny the value Mi 9 brings at almost half the price.

I like the fact that Xiaomi Redmi still gives us the option to choose between 2 SIM cards or 1 SIM and one SDcard. Most phones these just ditch the SDcard slot altogether which i really don't like.

That's a big minus on their part, I don't have to sacrifice one of my SIM to make use of the SD storage. I use my phone as a mini cinema with lots of files and movies.

That is why they have a bigger storage option. Note 7 Pro has a 6GB/64GB variant. You can go for that.

Redmi Note 7 comes with only one sim tray, big turn off.

Dual SIM if you don't need additional storage.

to be frank, Syberia is the best Pie rom. Feels so fluid and stable

Ain't gonna lie, you're right but for some reason AEX is still my go to choice based on just preference.

Will be using syberiaOS for longer than i anticipated tho.
