Meanwhile, SyberiaOS is amazing when it comes to gaming. It by by far the best ROM i have used with the best gaming performance (without flashing a seperate kernel of course ) Not much frame drops or stuttering likeni previously experienced on AEX or Lineage.

Also, SOT. (Used WiFi, Mobil Data may yield different results)

I actually like it. Phone so free. Literally have just a total of 40 apps including stock apps.

Just found that syberiaOS doesn't come with a music player or gcam. Had to install the retro music app and gcam app i backed up from that AEX ROM.

I just got an OTA update for AEX.
When you were on AEX
Do you update via OTA or you download the file and flash it?

You could update via OTA (dirty flash) but flashing it (clean flash) is recommended.

I always wipe before flashing so as to get the best experience. No unnecessary bugs that may be as a result of dirty flashing.

Although i use a Xioami device, the other two brands are okay. It should be a matter of preference for you now.

AEX is more than okay for me and have been using it for quite sometime now, just want to spice things up a bit. Will probably still end up using AEX when I'm done testing them all.

My phone was built for this pain.

15hrs SOT ? I can't even get there without charging my phone, las las i use powerbank.

Lool ColorNote is Note and Todo List app. Use it to sort out my to do list; cancel already done tasks and write down new ones I'm yet to do. If I don't write them down, i tend to forget.

Occasionally, i write some love letters too.

People always talking about Samsung's AMOLED display but i still don't get it or see it.

Are the AMOLED or Super AMOLED Panels better than IPS LCD Panel ? Obviously.

Would i pay more for an AMOLED or Super AMOLED ? Obviously Not.

At flagship level, AMOLED or Super AMOLED is like a given on all brands so you really don't give up anything else in return for that beautiful display. However, when it comes to mid-rangers, I'll rather take an IPS LCD panel with a more beefier Internal specification like better SoC, more RAM and storage etc.

This is my opinion though.

Btw, asides display, can anyone name a Samsung device that comes close to this when it comes to price to performance ? I'll wait.

CPU wise, I'm going with Huawei's Y9 2019 Kirin SoC

GPU wise, I'm going with Redmi Note 7 Snapdragon's Adreno.


If you don't play much games, go for Huawei Y9 2019. If you're a gamer, go for Redmi Note 7 or Pro if you have the extra money.

I've seen virtually all your SOT screenshots on the most part of this thread and I noticed you're always on WIFI which generally consumes way lesser battery on android. Try switching to 3g/4g network and let's see your SOT after full charge... 10k says it'll drop significantly

Yeah, I've said it before. WiFi cosumes less battery.

Will try to do a battery test on 3G/4G one of the days though. Let's see if i can hit that 10hrs SOT.

Not really, bro. No app issues whatsoever, at least not with the latest EU update for whyred. MIUI aggression on apps which you mentioned can be completely determined by the user... Everything is customizable... You have the option to adjust the "aggression"... MIUI roms are extremely conscious of battery performance, hence they pay a lot of attention to apps' activities, and that's where my attraction lies majorly.. Dude, I don't joke with battery and optimization.

Haven't tried MIUI EU but when i was on MIUI 10 Goabal, i searched around for a fix for app closing and tried a bunch of settings all to no avail. Maybe MIUI EU is different, i wouldn't know because i haven't used it.

AOSP is my new found love and i don't think I'll be using MIUI based ROM. I might hop on it once in a while to see what it's all about but will definitely head back to one of them AOSP ROMs.

Not bad. Although we mustn't forget that on Xiaomi.eu rom, the standard SOT is 16hrs (after full charge) which is fantastic to say the very least.

MIUI based ROM are mostly way too aggressive on apps which is the major reason that made me leave. Battery on MIUI will always be better but any ROM that reaches 10hrs without closing my background apps unecessarily, I'm good with it.

Do you have the background app issue on MIUI EU ?
