Turns out there is no way to change region on MIUI Chinese ROM as it was specifically made for China so there should be no reason for changing the region. Global on the other hand entails different regions. Of course there is a way around this but you'll need root access.

If it's only fonts you need and don't want to root, simply access your themes app, Search for "Moby Fonts" and you'll see some fonts, pick one, Download and use.

Should have asked this on th Xiaomi thread. Why the need to open a new thread ?

I have orange fox recovery and it is accessible... The problem is the stock rom on the mini site is corrupt. I think that was why it bricked the phone in the first place. I can't even unzipped the rom successfully with winrar

I'm thinking of download the older version of the stock rom or probably go with the link grandmufti sent (but I don't know how to go about it cos the file is .tgz and not zip file)

Flash using fastboot or look for the Zip file online if you want to flash using your orange fox recovery (hopefully you won't flash a corrupted zip file again)

If you choose to go with the zip file method, try unzipping it first to make sure it isn't corrupted before going ahead to flash it.

N.B. the samsung A20 camera is so on point even though just 12mp and the fone is so sleek. I actually handled one today. It has all the specs of the redmi

Redmi 7 is 47K
Samsung A20 is 55K.

The people that ask these questions most times aren't your friends, probably colleagues or acquaintances who can't wrap their heads around buying phones that expensive and these particular people might be super rich than one is but they can never get spending so much on phones because it isn't their thing.

If you do have friends all using iPhone Xs, S10, I don't think they will say the same thing..

A friend of mine bought a laptop of 540k and almost if not all his friends still don't understand why he spent so much on a laptop. If not that i was into tech, know the laptop is really worth the price and knows what he needs it for then i might also be saying the laptop is too expensive for his level cause every other thing about him is very basic.

Yes brother, i was on custom rom before but i,be settled with me since the launch of Maui 10 and every update is always smooth except this. I guess the problem is from the v10.2.1 I downloaded cos when I try to unzip it, it was saying corrupt file

Problem located. This is why each time i flash a new ROM, i always make sure i have a previous working ROM on my phone. Once the new ROM I'm about to flash boots up without bootloop then i delete the old one and still leave the one i just flashed.

Can you access TWRP ? If you can, wipe everything (except Internal storage and SDcard of course) then Download a new ROM, copy it to an SD card and flash from the SD card.

If you can't access your customer recovery then try using the video someone dropped in the previous page.

What you mean you tried updating to v10.2.1 via Orange Fox recovery ? Why didn't you use OTA update ?

Do you have a working Gcam 6. I want it for the night sight, the one I have crashes and front camera doesn't work.

Funny part is that i don't really make use of the camera although i have a pretty old gcam Installed that still works for basic photo taking. Probably used it about 10 times tops since i bought this phone. I'm more of a performance/Chipset person. Can even use a phone with no camera as long as the Chipset is lit.

Depends. If you're fan of MIUI then no need for Custom ROMs unless you want MIUI based ROMs like MIUI Eu, Masik, RevolutionOS etc or if you're a fan of AOSP based ROMs like me then there are also a few options there too. It's just based on preference, non is better than the other but first, you need to root and install a recovery.

It supports QC2.0 but QC3.0 will stop working if it exceeds 40°C. So when i need to use QC3.0, I don't use the phone while charging so it stays below 40°C and that does the trick. Once it get to around 85% it stops Charging at QC3.0 speeds and uses QC2.0 speeds which automatically reduces the Temperature.
