190:Some nairaland people and their generalizations, chai! |
PTBNaija:Man bosoms lol, really? What was wrong with the original word? ![]() |
Big lips (sorry), man boobs, potbelly, small stature, and hair loss. The latter four are especially bad if they are young! |
I think the OP already mentioned that they are not having a sexual relationship, I think? I have to agree with what a lot of people are already saying, and suggest that you really think about it. I know you said that you are not sure, but it comes across to me like you are attracted to him. You mentioned that you are enjoying the closeness, but you really have to think if it is the closeness of just friends. Is your relationship strictly like the one you share with your other friends? Are you guys dating already (wasn't sure about that part)? You have to ask yourself what exactly is holding you back from a relationship from this guy. Are you afraid of something? Have you had other bad experiences? If you are dating, and you enjoy his company and the time you are spending together it is only normal that it would escalate into a relationship. One more thing that you need to think about is the implications of continuing, or discontinuing. Would you be able to handle the fact that he may pull away from you if you say no? Or would it bother you if he started seeing someone else? What exactly would change if you were in a relationship with him and would you be okay with that? |
I also agree with livedit, but I also want to add that you should take the time to rediscover things that you liked to do. Keep yourself busy with friends, read new books, take up different hobbies, and keep up with the rest of your usual activities. In my experience, it has only been an idle mind that has time to worry about an old relationship. |
Haha, that's actually funny OP ![]() But women are not that complicated, you have to do all of those in moderation. And it's actually applicable to both genders, would men like it if women did all of one but not the other? |
190:Hope you're not Nigerian because you just insulted your mother, grandmother, sisters (if you have any) cousins, etc. Anyways. . . at the topic, some girls don't care. I'm not sure it's for the money, it's probably more of a status thing. It's disgusting all the same, but to each his own ![]() |
iice:I don't know, I went to go see the Men Who Stared at Goats with a friend and we both left completely disappointed. We were just sitting in the theater when the credits went by staring at the screen with the "what in the world just happened" look on our face lol. WackyJ1:Kung Fu Panda was funny, I'll give him that one teeluv:I didn't see that movie, but I'm really just not interested in his kind comedy ![]() |
The Men Who Stared at Goats And pretty much any movie with Jack Black |
Neo Ned |
You can always just tell him "I just want to be friends" while you are having a serious conversation. Or, during one of your flirting/joking sessions just say "You know we are just friends right?" or "You're a really great friend." Just repeat those last ones a couple of times (at different times) and he should get the idea that he is just your friend. Then again, it all depends on the extent of your flirting. Just don't be getting touchy-feely with him or make any sexual jokes because that would honestly be giving him mixed signals. |
Wow, I did not know that women in Nigeria are now able to become pregnant without the help of a man? lol These kinds of questions are impossible to answer just because not every woman is looking for the same thing. One thing I can think of is a respectful man, every woman wants a man that respects them. |
I love to joke around and do silly things, some of which they find to be strange lol |
In no particular order: 1.) Pearl Harbor 2.) A Walk to Remember 3.) Titanic 4.) The Widow (Nollywood film) 5.) Stepmom 6.) Pay it Forward 7.) Hotel Rwanda 8.) The Outsiders 9.) Heading South 10.) A Perfect Storm Honestly, a lot of movies make me cry, so this was a tough one lol |
Because a lot of Nigerian movies contain unnecessary and dragged out scenes. |
I suggest you go to the doctor. |
Osama10:I think this is more or less a matter of having an opinion, we are not losing sleep over her decisions lol |
My best was definitely when this guy used Michael Jackson song titles to explain how I was on his mind so much that day. We had just started dating at the time and it was honestly the cutest thing ever! |
A guy that can make me laugh, |
George_D:Those are also not part of my daily food intake, and my diet is actually really healthy. I do thank you for your concern though ![]() |
Osuofia in London ![]() |
Try lifting weights to gain muscle, and taking in a lot of lean protein. |
When I get married, I want to have a nice wedding. It's a one day event, but it also *knocks on wood* only happens once in your life. I'm not having a wedding for other people, it's for myself, and I would want to make it a day I can remember. ![]() I (along with most women) will not try to live above my means for that day. Numerical figures are relative, it all depends on how much someone makes. I want to have a great wedding, but I'm not going to jeopardize my future for it. |
To answer to your question, from my experience, no. However, based on what you are saying, maybe these women just have a preference for dating a Nigerian male? It doesn't come across like they are intimidated, because they did ultimately talk to these guys. They obviously know what they want and are not going to approach someone if they are not sure. |
That movie was alright! I understand the idea of it and that they wanted to portray something that does happen in some households. However, it was hard to get past those scenes that were put in there for shock value. I saw her rant on twitter about how she's an actress and how they do that sort of thing in Hollywood and blah blah blah, But she doesn't seem to understand that those scenes did go wayyyyyy to far and would have been more effective if some things were left to the imagination. |
Thanks, I hope it works out for you! |
I haven't tried it myself, but I've heard of people having great success with it. Good luck! |
Cetaphil is a really good option for a moisturizer! It's not as messy as you think. Just mix in your hands before each use, or you could try mixing it in a bottle if you want. |
Versace Bright Crystal and Ralph by Ralph Lauren |
You don't need to go out and buy a tinted moisturizer. You can make your own using the foundation that you already wear. You can mix a bit of your foundation with some facial moisturizer and it provides the light coverage that you are looking for. |
George_D:Well, I don't eat junk food either ![]() |
Nope, I usually just eat snacks because there's no time for food lol |
What was wrong with the original word?
