Repentance does not guarantee salvation.
I met many pastors who after stealing tithes and lied for years, they have tried to show repentance, they have confessed to change the meaning of the Bible ... but all this is in vain ...
Christianity EtcRe: Christians Are More Womanizers by Ptolomeus(m): 9:42pm On Sep 06, 2012
In general, the Christian is a person sexually repressed.
Such repression may manifest homosexual tendencies, or prone to promiscuity.
But, as both (homosexuality and promiscuity) are also sin, the Christian can not externalize their frustration, making it a potentially violent individual, fanatical and dangerous.
My respects.

frosbel: If you decide that social drinking is OK for you, do not flaunt it before other believers who believe it to be a sin. If you decide to abstain from drinking for the sake of the kingdom, do not condemn other believers who see no problem with social drinking. Read all of Romans chapter 14 for detailed instructions on this issue - but here is the key passage:

13 Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way. 14 As one who is in the Lord Jesus, I am fully convinced that no food is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean. 15 If your brother is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy your brother for whom Christ died. 16 Do not allow what you consider good to be spoken of as evil. 17 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, 18 because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men. (Romans 14:13-18, NIV)
Frosbel ...
You are very nervous ... altered. Should be more careful, many ladies read these posts and should be educated.
I've just quoted Matthew (and Luke) ... which states that Jesus was a gloón and great wine drinker ... (plus his fame to frequent prostitutes). The Bible says, not me.
If you quote Matthew, read everything, completely Matthew ...
Fros, lying is a sin!

TheShopKeeper: Some biblical terms for wine

Old Testament
1. Yayin – This is the general term for wine which is used 141 times. The etymology is uncertain because it is not from a Hebrew root. It always means fermented fruit juice, usually grape. Some typical passages are (Gen. 9:21; Exod. 29:40; Num. 15:5-10).
2. Tirosh – This is "new wine". Because of climatic conditions of the Near East, fermentation started as soon as six hours after extracting the juice. This term refers to wine in the process of fermenting. For some typical passages see (Deut. 12:17; 18:4; Isa. 62:8-9; Hos. 4:11).
3. Asis – This is obviously alcoholic beverages (“sweet wine”, e.g., Joel 1:5; Isa. 49:26).
4. Sekar – This is the term "strong drink". The Hebrew root is used in the term "drunk" or "drunkard." It had something added to it to make it more intoxicating. It is parallel to yayin (Pro. 20:1; 31:6; Isa. 28:7).

New Testament
1. Oinos – the Greek equivalent of yayin.
2. Neos oinos (new wine) – the Greek equivalent of tirosh (Mark 2:22).
3. Gleuchos vinos (sweet wine, asis) – wine in the early stages of fermentation (Acts 2:13).

Dear friend:
Wine is not nothing but wine.
It is a fermented, producing alcohol from carbohydrates, by chemical processes.
No wine without alcohol. If no alcohol, not just wine.
Wine is wine, period.
You are trying to find a needle in a haystack ...
It's funny.

frosbel: Then your problem is with the grammar, that they called him a glutton does not mean that he was.

The gospels are littered with false accusations against Christ , 100% were proven to be false and of course spread by the father of Lies.

"For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds." - Hebrews 12:3

My friend Fr0sbel ...
There is a translation issue, or metaphors, or interpretation.
Read Matthew and John ... there is nothing strange in translation there, no metaphor.
To read the Bible is anything else you need to have the book in front of you ...
Why some want to make Jesus an abnormal individual! someone who never drank, never someone who ate too much .. someone who never had sex?
That or believe yourself ...

CAMEROONPRIDE: maybe i haven't been enough clear ... REVERSE RACISM IS NOT RACISM the same with fighting back someone doesn't mean that you are a violent person ...those blacks who called you all the words u listed aren't/weren't racist they are angry because they suffer ,because even in 2012 Africans are treated like poo ..it's aint racism ...it's compression-explosion
We are dealing with a complex and sensitive.
Know? In my country, it is an offense to call someone "black" is not considered derogatory (except when used with other grievances).
I think it goes without saying "white" or "black" to judge a person. Someone is an idiot for their attitudes, not their color.

Regarding PAGAN ... he is someone I appreciate that.
How not to understand his feelings towards whites? I do not support, but I understand it. There were whites who ultimately destroyed tens of thousands of lives, culture, traditions? There were whites who enslaved Africa and was sentenced to hundreds of years of slavery? Perhaps the mistake is to generalize, to say that all white or all black people are bad ... (or good)
But also understand that there is resentment ...
We are all brothers, we are all equal ... No one is above anyone ...
Do not do to others that does not want them to do to us!
peace

Arabs and Christians came to Africa to find slaves. Even sold slaves to acculturate, to generate minds of idiots ...
It is logical that the fools who accepted belief that Arabs and Christians were imposed, are now slaves of violence ...
Later that violence was used against Africans by slave .. Now Africans kill each other ... a good deal of the conquerors ...
The loss of one's culture and identity, conformity with slavery, results in situations like that tells you ...

HumbledbYGrace: wat r u on about Pagan?
You write in Aramaic truth?

Reading about the "culture of Jesus", my question is this.
What exactly is the culture of Jesus?
1. When lashes expelled the merchants from the temple, lavishing love of neighbor?
2. When on the cross, scolded to his father by suffering ...
crying begged his father to save them, while being humiliated?.
3. When in the name of Jesus declares that Africans and Native Americans have no soul, and therefore should be treated like animals?
4. When in the name of Jesus, it kills virtually all indigenous populations of the three Americas?
5. When blessed gunpowder and cannons of the fascists in World War II?
6. When in the name of Western and Christian civilization, Europeans divided Africa in the 1885 Berlin Agreement?

Which of these is the real "culture of Jesus?

ijawkid: Hmmmm......

Jesus ate greedily??

It seems u were d one who gave him d plenty of food to eat.....
Not for me to answer him, but the bible ...

Exegesis: Matthew verses 16-19
16 But to whom shall I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,
17 And they say: 'We played the flute, and you did not dance; we wailed, and you did not mourn.
18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil. 19 The Son of man (Jesus), eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.

"The Lord Jesus drank wine" Luke 7:34

I think there is room for doubt: Jesus drank wine (and I did too much) and also was a glutton.

As you know, I'm Uruguay (South America).
I was in Europe (Alicante, Spain), waiting for a bus along with two African women dressed in their beautiful costumes.
They probably went to a party.
When we ascended (I let them ascend before), I heard a lot of laughter from the passengers. As I sat down (against African women), I understood that a Spanish was humiliating the women, ridiculing their dress and their origin ...
Although I was accompanied by a couple of friends, I was running to the offender's place ... screaming, I asked him if he could not remember when the Spanish traveled to South America to escape hunger? Fleeing war ... full of lice ... I reminded him that my small country gave them food, medicine, work ... a home to live in peace ...
There was a stir in the bus ... my friends reminded me that I was a foreigner, and you could have problems ....

But all were silent bus passengers. Nobody was offended by what I said ... offender and the clown looked down and stopped talking nonsense ...
When I returned to my place, both women smiled at me ... until today, I do not know if they could speak Spanish, if they understood exactly what happened ... But I'm sure they knew that what happened was related to them ...
Brothers ... we should not be passive with racists ...
Lower our eyes to a racist act is complicity!
A hug to my dear brothers Forum!

The greatest miracle in the Bible is when Jesus is crucified, he begs his father cry, pray, is humiliated, and Javeh left to die him like an animal ...
The Miracle (possibly teaching) is that there are very weak gods ... uan also teaching biblical understanding that God does not even help his son ...

Christianity EtcRe: God's Moral Law by Ptolomeus(m): 9:16pm On Sep 03, 2012
OLAADEGBU: 1. "For our God is a consuming fire" (Hebrews 12:29)

This describes God as a consuming fire. God's nature must consume anything that is contrary to His divine nature. This should teach us to put on the Lord Jesus Christ otherwise we would be consumed by the burning holiness of God.

To answer you question as to why God commanded the Israelites to murder those people you have to understand this verse of the Scripture.

2. "Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually" (Genesis 6:5).

3. The Bible says that these people including us were not innocent for all have sinned against a holy and just God. God needs to judge sin and wickedness as you may want to know that murder is different from judgment. God used the Israelites to judge the people and remove the evil in the land.

4. Today, God judged the sin in the world by punishing His Son on the cross. God will also judge those who do not claim Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord. If you don't receive Jesus' free gift of forgiveness and trust Him as the only way to heaven you are putting yourself in the presense of the consuming fire of the holy God and who can stand their own stregth?
1. You worship that god vengeful murderer? A God who pursues his own creation? A destroyer god?
Excuse me ... I think you're a devil worshiping ....

2. A very silly god that created bad people, and the only solution he found is to kill them ... Mhhhh ugly, all very ugly ...

3. With a god of that nature, it is not necessary a devil ...

4. "God judges sin of others, sacrificing his son on the cross"
If this god kills his own son ... imagine what it would be merciful to any of us ...

Olaa, dear friend ... I prefer to be far away, as far as possible from that "god" that no mercy when TiVo begged his son on the cross ...
