Kidnapping is happening everywhere in Nigeria from north, to south, to east, and even west. No where is safe and no one is safe, not even near police checkpoints (said this to a colleague of mine on Tuesday while on a road trip for business and we kept seeing police checkpoints). This is a a serious national crisis.

The truth is, our security systems are compromised and failing and we need urgent actions now. We need better policing, real solutions, and accountability. Yes service chiefs were changed, new Minister of Defence emerged, yet it’s still the same old story everyday.

Remember: today’s victims were yesterday’s survivors, and tomorrow’s victims might be today’s survivors.
It’s time to demand action from our leaders. Our lives depend on it. Enough of the talk. We need the change, now

I’m worried that everything here becomes a tribal issue.

I had to follow a sister back to a store yesterday, from where she bought some goods on Saturday.

The transfer she did was reversed to her late in the night despite the seller originally receiving an alert.

We went back to repay the money, and everyone was surprised.

Mind you, she’s Yoruba.

This is the question I’d like to respond to.

There were times I felt just the same way you feel, and I often ask myself, why am I here? What am I doing here, and Why am I still alive?

However, as the days roll into weeks, and weeks into years, I’ve been able to discover that I was never happy with myself all because I missed the first dose of happiness; which is SELF AWARENESS, together with SELF ACCEPTANCE.

The moment I got to know this, I began to pursue after these stuffs and the pursuit has helped me into who and what I am today. It has also helped me in identifying people with similar challenges around me and to also proffer permanent solutions to issues of self rejection.

Although distance and security reasons might not make it easy to reach out to you, but since you love to write, I’m sure you are gonna enjoy reading as well, coz most writers do.

The journey to self awareness isn’t a day’s journey, but I’ve got a couple of self-help books that I could recommend for you(for free ooo), and I’m sure you ain’t just gonna enjoy reading them, you’re definitely gonna begin to see your self just the way you are.
