bayocanny: Chai!, I think this is where my insufficient funds come into play na wa for this school sha $6,622 was quoted in my admission letter for international student tuition fees which is per year, while $5,690 is for canadian students and they were given an opportunity to pay per semester at $2,930. Oga o $6622 is the international differential fee, you should contact Amefrica to confirm. |

bayocanny: The following are the documents I submitted in respect of my application:
1. All CIC docs 2. High school transcripts 3. Neco result 4. National Diploma certificate in mass comm 5. Internship letter given to me from my school 6. Internship completion letter from my place of work ( I work at a media house) 7. Admission letter of my canadian school (tuition deposit not required so I don't bother to pay) 8. SOP ( am going for bachelor degree in political science so my sop was well detailed)
My tuition fees is $6,622 per year Room&Board is around $8k per year
All gurus in the house abeg look into my matter Hi, you got admitted to Upei right? Are you sure the tuition fee is 6,622 per year cos I remember going through their website last year and the fee I saw wasn't as low as this. Anyways, I just went through it again and I got this. I think the tuition fee is $6822 + $5860 per year international students. See the picture below(full time international fee- 6822, this amount is paid in addition to full time student tuition which is $5860). This is just my view, I might be wrong.

morenitemi: Good day all, pls. I applied for post graduate bsn nursing at the university of Saskatchewan, but I was told I needed to do some prerequisites before I can be offered post graduate nursing, so I applied for the prerequisites and I was offered admission for Sept fall. When I got the admission letter it stated that I have been offered a 4yrs course in art and sciences in which I called them to ask why 4 years since the prerequisites will be offered in a term and the post graduate bsn nursing is just 2yrs. I was told the 4yrs is better to be on a safer. Pls I need advice on how to go about my application in oder not to be rejected since my first degree is in public administration and my first job was as a customer service in a hotel and my last job was as a flight attendant with an international airline outside nig( note as a flight attendant I have been intensively trained to handle first aid and delivery on board.) I resigned as a first class business crew and I have visited slot of countries. I resigned last yr and am on maternity presently in Nigeria . Thanks. I sent you a pm. Kindly reply. |

BidemiZoe: I think my choice of words was too strong, let me say "it seems that is a new development or it may be a new development " I wouldn't have mentioned it if not for the above issue. It was a Ghanaian number (+233)but I will find out the number for you even though they may have quite a few of such lines for the same purpose. I hope this settles the matter. I was shocked when my guy told me they called him too, just decided to share to put us on the alert. Regards to all the gurus in the house. OK, seen. Thanks |

BidemiZoe: That's the latest development in CIC now, they now call one or two important persons connected to your application. People need to be more careful with who they include on their applications by ensuring there is a cordial relationship so that whoever they would call won't deny them due to distance relationship/personal bias et al . Something funny happened few hours before they approved my permit, one of my junior colleagues who coincidentally happened to be the IT executive in my company was called by CIC to confirm if I work in the company, he first didn't connect with the name they called initially because he was not used to the name but he was smart enough to ask the VO for another name which she now mentioned the name he is conversant with, that was the game changer. Less than 5 hours after the call, I got a mail of approval. Note: I didn't put the guy's name on my form, but CIC went behind to check the company's website and picked a number from there to confirm status of my employment with the company . Lesson from this, be friendly with your colleagues because, you can never tell when they will be the one to determine your destiny. Also, pray that when your call of testimony will come, the receiver should be in a right state of mind and be in a quiet place. My guy nailed the background check , when he told the woman that I'm right in the next office to him and asked if she would like to talk to me and the woman politely told my guy never to bother because, all she wanted had been verified. Kindly tell us what the number looks like. Is it a Nigerian number or Ghanaian? |

bjstarpex: hey guys, i need a clarification on this section of ""evidence of job requirement during study ** in the online reg stuff I didn't go through online route so I don't know about this but I think they are talking about coop. Does your program of study requires coop? If yes, then add the evidence. Check this http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-coop.asp |

Bioben: Thanks. the total money in a year both for tuition accommodation and other expenses is 5m. I personally have 4.5m, so I want to add the person as a co sponsor. So he is ready to assist with 1. 5M. His monthly salary is 1.2m. I want to file my application now but his statement of account which is salary acct is less than 1.5m .my question is it a good idea to use that kind of statement I think you should find someone with a good account balance to be on a safer side. |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by PurpleG(f): 6:56am On Mar 12, 2016 |

I think you should take time to read the thread, you would be surprised at the kind of information that are here and won't need to ask questions that have been answered several times or better still go through thesoj and some others posts. To answer your question, 1.5m is too low. You need to have more than 10,000 cad dollars plus your first year tuition fee and other expenses and still expected to have money left to take care of his/her self and dependents. E.g if your tuition fee it $15000 per year, then your sponsor needs to have MORE THAN 15000 + 10000+ other expenses. |

Jayne07: Good day NL fam. Pls help a sister o. I've been searching on Google for suitable courses. I have a BSc microbiology. I found occupational health and safety management at Lambton college in Toronto which is 2yrs pgd.. I presented this to my family and my uncle the program isn't that recognized that I might have problem getting a job that I should go for practical nursing which is 2yrs diploma. Pls for those who have any idea about the two courses please advice me
Why not go for BSc nursing instead, I think going for another Bachelors is better than going for a lower certificate. You can check out Brandon University for BSc nursing, they v got very low tuition fee. Cheers. |
