I collected money from him not to deliver in 7days because the profile he wanted was not available, but i told him once we get the materials, we would finish it in 7days, when we finally get the matetials, I told him the current cost , while I was indisposed and I told him the person am outsourcing it to was taken N420k not N300k he paid me, and he said I should go ahead with it, I told him I can refund the money, he said I shouldn't, I should go ahead with the work wish was did, Now to pay me become problem for him.

And refuse to pick my call, is this fair.

@focusmind did you give him the go ahead to continue work when he offered to refund your money?

Did he also tell you about his inability to get the specific materials you require?

@HSLbroker

You apparently wanted to play a fast one on focusmind and he beat you to it. I wonder why one would be indisposed and u cannot properly communicate to ur client on your status. Imagine someone parting with his hard earned money and you refused taking your calls or communicating... That's not cool

@focusmind I don't even know what to say, all I can say is that you forgive him. If you have a compensation for adedward it would be good to give him. I felt he was just unfortunate to be in the cross fire. HSLbroker might have told him you would pay the balance.

Abeg you guys should place your personal integrity above everyother thing else. You don't know who is going to patronize you next, especially our big bosses from diaspora.

The internet never forgets!!!

When you were indisposed... Did you call the client to notify him?

What stops you from returning his money when you were indisposed?

I am just seeking clarifications...

thank God that you came, you are wrong, you choose a profile that was scare at time, and I was indispose.

when you agreed to pay me the balance, you still went ahead to claim you paid adedward N75k making in total adedward collected N495k for a project you paid me N300k

So you are lied to me you will balance me N120k to get your work when you know the materials was not available at that time and I told you, it won't be possible as agreed.

You also lied to me that @ibibioson arrested you.

If you a good man, you have confirmed I paid Adedward additional N120k, it was for your work, will you allow me to wallow in this debt when you are already now satisfy with your work.

Focusmind be a sincere man, you will never be in circumstances that will break you down.

You promise to pay me this money.

and you won't experience difficult, if you are indispose for once you won't pray for it again.

Did you collect money for a project to be delivered in 7 days?

I intend procuring a ford edge via his service by January. He has offered me a Pontiac Torrent and Audi Q7 in the past but I couldn't meet up with the payment before some other people picked up the two SUVs.
Moreover, I'm not saying he's perfect, but to be realistic, he's trying his best to make amends where necessary.
I hope we are cool sir.

Just a piece of advice...

I don't know if he still does video inspection, its best you pay for that first before any commitments.

That way, you get to see exactly what you are paying for. The engine, under body, and the rest.

This way you would be comfortable with your purchase with respect to price.

Good luck Bro

Don't conclude he's nonchalant. I think he's trying his best. Customer's satisfaction is the toughest part of any sales transaction.

Wow

Where is the energy from past posts?Pages where customer's complaints were dissected, analysed and dismissed by fiery supporters? Is the favourite car seller on his own now?So soon?

Where people have offered to buy the said cars off complainants.Where mechanics have come out to give detailed explanations of why oil will suddenly disappear and how it will have been impossible for the said tokunbo car to have the engine knock due to it being a bad buy because ofcourse, buyer might never have owned a car before and therefore will not know how to even use the dipstick?

Energy please.....energy

Energy where it was stated that it is impossible to buy a tokunbo car and not spend some money on it,therefore we are supposed to shout down buyer for complaining that he spent ordinary 240k for AC as if he is the only one that have spent money....energy

Fact is,nobody seems to have done the sort of job amdman is doing on this forum albeit with open handedness, finesse, calm, honesty and whatever adjective there is

He has set the bar so far high that it might be very impossible for other car dealers to meet up.He is the messiah, who has made it possible for people to have clean cars that probably would have been pieces of junk if sourced locally. His passion is not in doubt, and ofcourse he can only get better. But while we collectively praise him to high heavens, let's collectively console those that have got bad deals, while imploring importer to own up to his mistakes too.We have all returned to our shell, waiting to see "closed deals" so we can add likes and also comment "I told you so"....We are not helping our guy

Some of us cannot wrap our heads around AC and engine complaints that had video of body as response...It is not our business per se,but then, haba??the sequel of reminding buyer that anything could have happened to a car between Lagos and the deep ravines of the south south, despite you providing the driver is a slap on the collective intelligence of we your ardent followers. How a car got to owner from Lagos and there was little or no oil at the point of receipt is a huge low. After waiting five months?

If we cannot offer landing support that includes container offloading mishaps, let's start doing it now to forestall the talk of multiple colours on different sides of newly imported tokunbo cars

it's a blip.It will only leave a mark and not a dent on the image of amdman. But we shouldn't just sweep it under the carpet.

May God bless us all

True words...

Good businesses thrives on good customer support and rapport.

He clearly doesn't care, more like he is doing you a favor. His responses to issues are below par and devoid of empathy.

I wonder what business man doesn't want to have more clients and high recommendation. People complain of no response or delayed response on WhatsApp, while his gullible "sheeples" would say only serious buyers...

I don't think he is a serious business man. With what he has in ground, he is capable of having employees and having a sound and stable business.

Well... His choice though undecided

Is there a shortage of young adults that you would choose an 8 year old child to come and work for you?

Society owes that child an education, not hard labor at this age. And, yes, Society includes you.

You almost sound proud of the fact you are employing an 8 year old.

'Sentimentality' should not be a dirty word here. Would anyone not feel sentimental when they think for a moment it was their own child?

You are breaking the law.

Are u saying you have never bought wares or food items from an 8 year old kid?

I thought you were the No 1 roofer in Africa.

So the harsh realities of things has finally hit you.

My brother be humble... You might be good at your job, but without a good attitude you would never go far in life.

Lemme shock you with some statistics.

Top 10 roofers in Nigeria don't personally have time online. They employ people to advertise for them.

Only slightly above 5% of Nigerian "Big boys/girls" are online here on Nairaland. Most of them are in diaspora.

Simply put, there are about 95% client base still untapped as many of them are not online not to talk of Nairaland.

My advice to you... Be humble and use your good works to conquer a fraction of the untapped client.

Alternatively you can continue insulting the 5% online prospect. And let's see if kneeling down online would help you. cheesy

Pls can you throw more light on why he should not use this. A lot of people use it this in my area...

Cameroon Zinc is very good and affordable. If your structure is a bungalow and you are working with a tight budget, it is a considerable option.

Most people don't use it especially in storey buildings because cameroon Zinc guarantees just about 10 to 15 years, whereas Longspan, steptiles and metcoppo guarantees from 20 to 50 years.
