If one should advise you to convert "some" of your naira to dollar. It's a possible investment choice which one could explore due to the current situation of things.
I ask this question, what happens if Naira goes back to N380 in December?
I still don't see why someone earning in naira needs to convert to Dollar. What are you trying to achieve especially if you still need to convert the money back to naira to use. |

Charisdesigns:

Are we going through this again boss? I thought this issue of floor plan or not have been treated severally on this thread.
First of all, I don't discuss people and what works for them, I am also a fan of dareynx and his wonderful works here on nairaland, but sir I stand to be corrected he (dareynx) doesn't share his floor plans here. Even if he does, everyone has their own guiding principle to business and what works for them.
If you contact me for a design, I give you unresisted access to my floor plans, ask you if you need any modifications whatsoever before we even talk about the fee, that's my principle and it works for me.
I won't even dabble into the debate of, "is it ideal for a client personalized floor plan to be shared for public consumption without client's approval"? Ignore him and keep on showcasing your talent to the world. You must not be subject to his outdated expectations. |

I deliver only what my contract specifies. If it specifies finishing, we get it delivered so far you have what it takes to get it done.
Does that answer your question? Yes sir it does. It is safe to call you the king of uncompleted buildings.I would wait till you complete full buildings before engaging you in conversations. Thanks for your time. |

Creating multiple monickers and liking your post doesn't translate to endorsement.
Lemme give you an advice as was once given to @money121. Competence is not enough, you need integrity. That is what keeps people rushing back to you for jobs.
Integrity is not creating alternates like someone who has multiple personality disorders. Sometimes you need to keep quiet and learn from the elders here on this forum. |

Change ur mindset to accommodate good things without sharp practices and everything will be well with you. The person you quoted showed how possible it is. They only asked you how you achieved it, instead of giving an answer, u became evasive. Building a house is an investment which ever way you see it. Most people are of the opinion that once you are not making money from it, it's not an investment. Would you rather continue paying rent than owning your own house? Would you rather continue using Uber than owning your own car? On the short run it seems like it's cool, but in a long run you would find out which is better. Investments also covers whatever saves you time and money. They say our children are investments, I then wonder what you would say since they don't give us money. Apologies for derailing |

I want to understand what you know about inflation and money (naira) being a store of value. A) There is running cost B) There is also savings and investments.... You have just been generalizing. That's was why I asked specific questions. Inflation is the persistent/consistent rise in the prices of goods and services. |

diordaves: S/he who is into land banking.
Have some liquid cash in the bank for everyday running cost and for the raining day. Anything above this, bank it in land. In Nigeria, if you buy wisely, land banking interest rate is higher than brick and mortar bank.
With land, you buy to wait. You don't wait to buy or else you will buy at the upper end.
With water tower, you harvest gravity to give you good water pressure.
With solar, you harvest the sun energy to give you electricity.
With land, you harvest TIME to give you cash. This is what is meant by TIME na MONEY.
Advice my grandma gave me. Very apt. Your grandma sabi |

Freciprocal: 1. Physical wealth ( health) 2. Time wealth (freedom) 3. Social wealth (status)
Money is already a given if you have the above three. I might not be financially wealthy, but I have the top 3 that money can't buy.
I would be able to meet my needs. I might not be financially wealthy or rich but I would definitely be contented. So on point |
