bixton: We are all proud of the gestures of the FG and some State governors.....
But you know, this FG is trying very hard to look good ...
If all this is as a result of true good heart, why was it difficult to pay a better minimum wage to the working civil service and sustain it?
So with all this monies being paid, the FG men are not crying inflation as against the foul crying they did when they pegged it at 70K. Tinubu raised minimum wage from 30,000 to 70,000 that more than 100%. How many of your Governors are paying it yet?. And if you're old enough when Tinubu was Governor, you would know he is a lover of sports. He supported the national team players, Kanu heart foundation, etc. He organised Tinubu Cup that promoted and rewarded young talents. I can't blame you tho, there's so much bitterness can do to a soul. |

I thank Mr President for this wonderful gesture of encouragement.
However, I'm concerned about the reason behind rewarding them in dollars instead of naira.
Is the president ashamed of using Naira as a means of transaction in Nigeria? This is the only thing I hold against Mr President and his team. Naira equivalent, pls try to dey listen properly. |

Politics › Bashir El-Rufai Threatens To Kill Social Media User Over Controversial Comment by Putindbutt(op): 4:37pm On Aug 04, 2025 |
Bashir El-Rufai, one of the sons of former Governor Nasir El-Rufai, in a now-deleted tweet, vowed to murder a Nigerian troll on X following a reaction to the tweet by former Kaduna first lady, Hadiza Isma El-Rufai.
Commenting on President Donald Trump’s recent travel ban on four African countries, including Nigeria, Mrs El-Rufai had tweeted,
“A great percentage of these Nigerian Americans making us proud abroad are Igbos. There’s always two sides to every story.”
The tweet, which generated controversial comments from users on the platform, inspired another tweet from the former first lady clarifying that no amount of cyberbullying would deter her from expressing her opinion.
“No cyberbully can take away my right to express my opinion. Not everything is about politics, but that is something some of you will never understand,” Mrs El-Rufai wrote.
An X user, identified as @jussstice09 and whose sex remained unclear, responded,
“You no go die well ma.”
Enraged by the reaction, Mr El-Rufai tweeted,
“If you ever utter that phrase to my mother again & delete that tweet, I am going to find you (it’s easier than you think) & unalive you and your family.”
The former Kaduna governor’s son did not reply to Peoples Gazette’s request for comments.
The latest tweet followed his several vile and incendiary comments on social media.
In March, Mr El-Rufai threatened increased bloodshed in the Christian-dominated Southern Kaduna if the people continued to attack Fulani.
He later deleted the controversial tweet and apologised amid backlash.
He had also said the mysterious disappearance of Abubakar ‘Dadiyatta’ Idris, a critic of his father, was a good consequence for lying to the public, calling Nigerians campaigning for justice for Dadiyatta on X clowns. https://gazettengr.com/bashir-el-rufai-vows-to-murder-nigerian-troll-family-members-in-unhinged-social-media-post/

Penguin2: Lol!
And do you know why this defection is significant?
Because it has shown where the Yaradua Political Dynasty stands now.
And if Tinubu doesn’t have the Kaduna Mafia where Elrufai is influential, and he doesn’t have the Yaradua Political Dynasty, I wonder who he has in the north then. Nothing una sabi for politics, na only emotion dey una body. This same Yara'dua or whatever dynasty was in APC in 2023 yet APC lost the Presidential election in Katsina even with Buhari as a sitting President. So why una dey overestimate his relevance. The most important thing is the 25% which Tinubu collected on Katsina. And I can bet you, more than the 25% , Tinubu will win Katsina. |

Penguin2: Ex-President Yaradua’s younger brother and a serving senator in the 10th Assembly, Abubakar Yaradua, has resigned his membership of the APC and joined ADC.
I knew there was a reason Tinubu is scared of the coalition.
Something is going on; and it’s just the beginning. Typing: Tinubu, Wike and their nairaland paid agents right now but onatisi: Lolz , we told them ,they keep saying tinubu is the overall political God of politics in naija that he is undefeatable. Ok no problem,2027 is just around the corner. The north means serous business this time around ,what gave tinubu the image of a political demi God was because the north supported him ,let's see how he will cope now that the north are chipping away his support base in the north. I am still waiting to even see how APC candidates will campaign in benue come 2026,and so many other states in the north ravaged by bloodshed and killings givedemwotowoto: This one will hit some Agbad0o people hard. They know what that means. No explanation needed iwaeda: Reporting from Middle Iweka road, Tinubu is OTP, those who are decamping to APC, don't even know what is coming. Ibechris2: More to come.
Even those who speedily and blindly joined APC would hurriedly join the ADC as time proceeds.
Them wan cook Tinubu like Suya to be eaten at night rest. Xscape1993: Any good move that will move Nigeria forward, I will definitely be part of it. lordm: It's getting interesting by the day.
2027 will be interesting.
Tinubu has already achieved his aim of being a president. He should let Adesina be the next president SmartPolician: No serious party will give Adesina their ticket because he's not a politician. For several decades to come, presidents of Nigeria are likely going to be former governors and elected public office holders. That's because they already have supporters and it is easy to sell them to other Nigerians.
Adesina should go into private consulting to create jobs in the country. He has made a lot of money from public service already. alsudan: Tinubu is a OTP
The Iragbiji druggie knows he's facing a United Atiku/Obi Ticket.
Elected members from the North under APC will be Shittiing in their panties as ADC will sweep the North.
Add Atikus 6 Million + Obi's + CPC bloc, then you will understand why rigging can't save Tinubu.
That's why his team is everywhere spilling the Southern Presidency turn BS
Druggie knows with Obi as the main opposition, it will be an easy ride for him and this is coming from one of the most popular Obidient on this platform. OSUNADC:

Atiku making viable incursion into the NW now that Buhari is no more. Deft political moves.
Slowly and beautifully unwrapping the North's surprise for Tinubu. By December the plans would have gained the needed momentum. The North are not foolish. They understand the game better and are resolute in their plan to make Tinubu a One term President.
Who is confident enough to make a bet?
ADC: HERE WE COME!!! Make we just mark down una chochocho for reference purposes. You said more chochocho in 2023 when they were decamping from APC to PDP and LP, after the election, you started wailing. We will be here dashing you handkerchiefs again in 2027. |

DIVINEEVIDENCE: You must be joking. You underestimate the powers of the Nigerian president with enough political will and a clear cut economic and security agenda.
Do you know how many bills awaiting presidential assent that would reverse the fortunes of this nation if signed into law?
Nigeria's problems are artificial, only waiting for a crazy president. This is why we say many of you social media mob are not knowledgeable. Do you think Nigerian Presidential system is an autocratic system?. The President has no power over the Governors, he could only advice and plead with them. If the Governors disagreed with him, there's nothing he can do. The Governors can sue him to court of they disagreed with him on any matter. OBJ, GEJ, BUHARI, TINUBU have been dragged to court over constitutional matters and issues of national interest. When Buhari signed the bill of independence of judiciary, how many state Governors have allowed it in their states?, Tinubu signed electricity bill, how many Govs have complied?, LG autonomy, how many have of them have allowed it within their states?, The VP presided over NEC asking the states to submit their reports on state police, how many have complied?. The allocations that has been tripled, how many of them are accountable?. Yet you can't do nothing outside the constitution as far as separation of powers is concerned. What can any President do to Governors that enjoy immunity?. And that's why Tinubu is on track with the process of a new constitution that will address the fundamental issues of the country. That's when we can truly practice true federalism. Anybody mouthing he will wave a magic wand is a pretentious liar much less in one term. |

On Saturday, August 2, 2025, Nigerian political commentator Lere Olayinka (@OlayinkaLere) shared a post on X reacting to remarks attributed to Muhammed Bello El-Rufai, son of former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai.
The younger El-Rufai reportedly suggested that his father and Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, are highly popular in Nigeria and that a joint ticket could lead to electoral success.
The statement also implied that Atiku Abubakar, a veteran politician and former vice president, may no longer hold the same political relevance.
Olayinka’s response, captioned with “Shot fired at Atinkulates 😂😂😂😂😂😂,” appeared to highlight the comment’s potential to stir debate among supporters of Atiku, a key figure in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

NNPC Gas Marketing Limited (NGML), a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPCL) Limited, has entered into a joint venture agreement with Zuid Energies Limited for the construction of a compressed natural gas (CNG) plant and a liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility in Ajaokuta, Kogi state.
The partnership was announced during the Mobility-CNG stakeholders workshop held in Abuja, which focused on aligning industry players around the federal government’s push for CNG adoption.
Themed “Deepening Industry Alignment for a Sustainable Mobility-CNG Sub-Sector,” the event gathered regulators and downstream operators to explore commercial opportunities and energy transition solutions.
Under the agreement, the partners will develop a CNG facility with a daily capacity of six million standard cubic feet (mmscfd) and an LNG plant designed to produce 40 million standard cubic feet per day (mmscfd).
In a statement, NNPC said the development “demonstrates NGML’s commitment to leveraging private sector partnerships to deliver innovative virtual pipeline solutions that enable efficient gas supply to off-grid and underserved areas”.
This latest deal builds on a series of gas infrastructure projects recently initiated in Ajaokuta.
In January, NNPC commenced the construction of five mini-LNG plants in the area, targeting a combined output of 97 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.
The projects are the prime LNG, NGML/Gasnexus LNG, BUA LNG, Highland LNG, and LNG Arete. https://www.thecable.ng/nnpc-partners-zuid-energies-to-construct-40mmscfd-lng-plant-in-ajaokuta/
