owobokiri: You are the one who wre-cked your country, not the igbos. We will celebrate our culture anywhere we find ourselves. We don't need your warped validation Nothing concerns igbos with Nigerias misfortune! Those responsible for what Nigeria has become, know themselves.. The igbos have always paid their deus! We are the engine of this economy.
Igbos have not ruled Nigeria since 1966 and have been on the receiving end of all federal injustices since that year. They have a right to maintain their culture and live free based on the laws of their immediate environment! If you don't like that, there is always an option; jump out of the window .. Nigeria did not start in 1966, Ibos were in power in 1960, 1979-1983, 1966. Ibos collapsed the federal structure and replaced it with a unitary structure. Even in the present fourth republic, ibos have produced several Senate Presidents, SGF, Deputy Speaker, and powerful ministers. So, this consistent foul cry of marginalization and perceived injustice only exists in your imagination. If you're the engine room of the economy, Nigeria should have collapsed with the sit at home in the SE going 4years, yet Nigeria is not affected one bit but your region. Once again, this hallucinations only exist in your head. Repeating it over and over again to make yourselves unnecessarily happy. |

Politics › Reno Omokri Knock Nigerians Attacking Super Falcons For Kneeling To Greet Tinubu by Putindbutt(op): 3:58pm On Aug 01, 2025 |
Reno Omokri has blasted Nigerians who criticized the Super Falcons for kneeling to greet President Tinubu and first lady, Remi Tinubu, in Aso Rock on Monday, July 28.
Recall that the President and the first lady had received Nigeria’s senior women’s national team, the Super Falcons,in the State House Abuja following their historic 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title win.
While receiving them, the football female stars went on their knees to greet the President and the first lady.
While some Nigerians saw the act of kneeling to greet the President as a sign of respect, others felt it was too much and undignifying.
Replying the critics, Omokri shared a photo of the then British Prime Minister, Theresa May, kneeling to greet Prince William when the Prince of Wales was still third in line to the throne. Reno stated that by age, Theresa May is twenty five years older than Prince William but had to courtesy to him.
He argued that the act of kneeling or bowing to greet the Head of State of a country and worthy elders does not strip you of your dignity. It only shows that you are a cultured person.

Politics › Construction Work Begins On Benin -Asaba Dual Carriage Way by Putindbutt(op): 9:40am On Aug 01, 2025 |
Edo State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo on Wednesday, undertook a comprehensive inspection tour of critical infrastructure projects across Benin City, the State Capital, and declared them as tangible fruits of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
During the inspection, Mr. K. V. Rao, Project Director for Africa Plus Partners and the Benin-Asaba Expressway Concession Company Limited, said about 20 kilometers of the dual-carriage 10 lane expressway, are projected to be completed before the Christmas of 2025.
Governor Okpebholo’s inspection highlighted the monumental expansion of the Benin-Asaba expressway, the reconstruction of Amufi Road, and the ongoing flyover construction at Ramat Park, all poised to redefine connectivity and economic vibrancy in the region.
The centerpiece of the inspection was the ambitious Benin-Asaba expressway, a project Governor Okpebholo hailed as a cornerstone of the President’s vision.
Governor Okpebholo, visibly impressed by the progress and the scale of the project, articulated the federal government’s commitment to delivering on its promises.
He affirmed: “Well, this is part of the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President. He is taking this road straight to Asaba. It is going to be 10 lanes. Five on one side, five on the other side.”
The Governor further underscored the project’s significance as a direct outcome of high-level government engagements.
He noted: “Remember when this road was flagged off a few months ago, the Minister for Works was here. The Minister for Finance was also here. And I was here. This is the fruit of that flag-off. And this is the demonstration of Mr. President’s Renewed Hope Agenda for our people.”
Beyond the expressway, the Governor also reviewed the progress on Amufi Road in the Agbor Road area, which connects four communities (Amufi, Okpagha, Iyanomo, and Egiekpe Communities).
Governor Okpebholo also reviewed the progress on the vital flyover project at Ramat Park. https://independent.ng/construction-work-begins-on-benin-asaba-dual-carriage-way/

Saclicall: Exactly the name we are expecting to hear. What an ethnic champion. RollinTNDA: goes without saying. You should rather be genuinely bothered that Tinubu only considers Yorubas competent enough to hold these positions. Even when other ethnicities are the next in line by right givedemwotowoto: Only a person who knows they’re leaving office in 2027 will do this! Tinubu knows he’s a one term President (OTP) so you’ll see the worst of him within the next 2 years. Godjone: The yorubanization of Nigeria is tinubu top agenda. This man Zico5: I'm a yoruba guy but I can see that Tinubu is not doing well in term of appointment. The way Tinubu has been going about the appointment is very bad and not good for the image of this country. But in the last appointment, when he appointed about seven northerners at once, you guys said he's afraid of reelection. So what happened now?, why wailing again 😂😂🤣 |

Politics › Stop Misleading Nigerians, Tinubu Allocated 52% Road Projects To North - Ohanaez by Putindbutt(op): 7:28pm On Jul 31, 2025 |
The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has urged former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, and other Northern politicians to refrain from misinforming Nigerians and distracting the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, over road project allocations.
In a statement signed by its Deputy President, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, on Wednesday, Ohanaeze addressed the criticisms directed at President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Umahi, describing them as unfounded and politically motivated.
The group said available evidence presented by the Works Minister showed that the Northern region alone received 52 per cent of all road construction projects under the current administration.
Ohanaeze condemned what it described as a pattern of disinformation being championed by some Northern political figures, including Babachir Lawal and Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso.
It accused them of attempting to undermine the administration’s achievements and provoke division ahead of the 2027 elections.
The organisation maintained that such attacks not only misrepresent facts but also aim to destabilise national unity and the government’s development agenda.
It warned that the persistent campaign against Senator Umahi’s efforts and President Tinubu’s leadership could derail the country’s collective progress.
Ohanaeze called on all political actors to embrace constructive engagement rather than indulge in what it described as petty politics and a campaign of calumny.
The group reaffirmed its support for the Tinubu administration and Senator Umahi, urging all stakeholders to prioritise unity and national interest. https://tribuneonlineng.com/ohanaeze-to-northern-politicians-stop-misleading-nigerians-tinubu-allocated-52-road-projects-to-north/

Mrexcell: He doesn't have tolerance for military regimes but yet his govt behaves like one by trying to strangle the opposition completely? How many oppositions have been picked up or has a particular candidate who lies and reels out false statistics been picked up?. You dey celebrate coalition of confusion yet he strangulates opposition, ain't you confused?. |
Politics › Re: Governors’ Spending: US Has Confirmed Nigeria’s Leadership Crisis – Peter Obi by Putindbutt(m): 3:24pm On Jul 31, 2025 |
ottersberger: I encourage you to revisit the bolded statement with a more critical lens. Upon closer examination, you may recognize a significant flaw in the reasoning presented. Are we to assume that a candidate only receives votes in locations where they have polling agents?. Or are you suggesting that the absence of such agents justifies the manipulation or misappropriation of votes cast in their favor?.
It is difficult to understand the moral framework underpinning such logic. Based on your submission, one might infer that you are attempting to justify highly questionable electoral outcomes, such as the claim that Bola Ahmed Tinubu secured victories in states like Rivers and Benue, or INEC switching off its reporting portal, IREV, just so they can write a result that justifies a preset outcome.
Let us be candid, the assertion that Ahmed Tinubu won the 2023 presidential election remains highly contested, and it is evident that many, perhaps including yourself, recognize this, even if political allegiance or personal interest prevents open acknowledgment of that reality. Every party agent must have a true copy of form EC8A signed by all agents of each parties, that's the result you present Incase the figures was falsified or rigged. Obi never presented a single figure, not even in Rivers State they touted much.

Mrexcell: That means he is not a true patriot he only believed in one nigeria when it favoured him and his gang. Jagaban staged the greatest revolt against the military in Nigeria. He immediately sanctioned the Juntas in Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso in ECOWAS. That tells you he has zero tolerance for military regime. |

givedemwotowoto: Democratic ethos don’t include fake democracy based on fraudulent leadership not elected by the majority. If your democratic principles include bribing INEC officials and judges to steal an election from the person with the majority votes, you’re no different from a dictator I challenge you to show us his election petition of the Agulu fraud at the presidential tribunal. Show us one of his prayers that says he won the election. All of you including the fraud knew LP had no agents in more than 15,000 polling units, so how did he won?, how many votes from north & SW?. Did he have more votes than Atiku?. Waiting for you to show us his election petition. |
