1. This is obviously a lie! Girls are raised different from boys in much of society, why? Because they are believed to have a different role to play in society when they come of age, and that role is to serve as wives, mothers, and caretakers in the homes. undecided

2. See curated joy? grin
Of course, naturally girls are prepared to become wives, mothers and caretakers just as society prepares the boys to become husbands, fathers and breadwinners.

I'm sure you must have seen tons of videos on TikTok of women appealing to be married and lamenting of being single.
PoliticsPolice Bust Major Arms Syndicate Behind Benue Killings, Recover Heavy Weapons by Putindbutt(op): 2:46pm On Jul 24, 2025
The Nigeria Police Force has intercepted a notorious arms supply syndicate responsible for arming bandits in Benue and other North-Central states, recovering a cache of weapons including a rocket launcher, multiple AK-47 rifles, and thousands of rounds of live ammunition.

This breakthrough, which followed a series of coordinated intelligence-led operations by operatives of the Force Intelligence Department – Intelligence Response Team, comes as part of ongoing investigations into recent deadly attacks on communities in Benue State.

According to a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Wednesday, police operatives stormed a forest hideout on June 21, 2025, at the boundary between Kardako in Nasarawa State and Yelwata in Benue State, believed to be occupied by bandits involved in the Yelwata killings.

He said a fierce gun duel ensued, forcing the criminals to flee with gunshot injuries, adding that two General Purpose Machine Guns were recovered at the scene.

Further success was recorded on July 8, 2025, when operatives along the Lafia–Makurdi expressway arrested a 25-year-old suspect, Abubakar Isah, who was caught in possession of three AK-47 rifles and 1,002 rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition.

Adejobi said, “In furtherance of Police investigation on the deadly attacks by bandits on communities in Benue State, police operatives have again successfully intercepted and dismantled a notorious arms supply syndicate responsible for arming bandits in Benue State and other North-Central States.

“On the 21st of June, 2025, operatives of the FID-IRT acting on credible intelligence on the activities of some bandits who participated in the Yelwata killings, stormed the hideout of the bandits in a forest at the boundary of Kardako, Nassarawa State, and Yelwata in Benue State, a fierce gun duel ensued, causing the bandits to flee with various degrees of gunshot injuries. Two GPMGs were recovered from their hideout in the process.”

Similarly, on July 8, 2025, he said operatives of the Force Intelligence Department – Intelligence Response Team (FID-IRT), in a tactical operation, along the Lafia–Makurdi expressway in Makurdi, Benue State, arrested one Abubakar Isah, aged 25, found in possession of 3 AK47 rifles and 1002 rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition.

“The arrest followed actionable intelligence indicating an impending arms movement intended for distribution to bandits groups known to be terrorising various communities in Benue State.

“Further investigations revealed that the arms and ammunition were supplied by a notorious arms dealer, Jacob Adikwu, operating from Abinsi, Guma Local Government area of Benue State, and was to be delivered to one Dan Hassan, a bandit kingpin known for orchestrating deadly attacks against communities across Benue, Nasarawa, Kogi, Niger, and Kwara States,” he added.

In a related operation on July 12, he said police arrested a suspect identified as Ibrahim, also known as “Chelsea,” who confessed to sending ₦6.5 million to Adikwu for the procurement and concealment of weapons, including two AK-47 rifles and 2,000 rounds of ammunition.

He added that the funds also covered the construction of a hidden compartment in a Volkswagen vehicle to transport the arms to Kwara State.

“In a swift follow-up clearance operation, the operatives stormed Abinsi town and successfully apprehended Jacob Adikwu on 16th July 2025 and recovered three AK-47 rifles, 220 rounds of live ammunition and a Volkswagen car from his hideout. Further investigation carried out by the operatives on July 17, 2025, led to the recovery of an additional five AK-47 rifles, one rocket launcher, and 1000 rounds of live ammunition from the same arms dealer.

“Efforts are being intensified to ensure Dan Hassan and other criminal elements responsible for terrorising Benue State and other parts of the country are brought to book, while others in custody will have their day in court upon conclusion of investigation,” the statement added.

He said the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, praised the operatives for their “doggedness” and vowed that there would be no hiding place for criminals profiting from violence.
He reaffirmed the Force’s commitment to restoring peace and stability in Benue and other affected states, in line with the directive of President Bola Tinubu.

Marital bliss? Cmon my nigga.
No at all, the society doesn't socialize girls to obsess over marriage rather they chose it. Try and attend the next wedding close to you this weekend and see the joy on the bride's face, singing and dancing all over the place. Putindbutt, your usual cherry-picking of stats can’t distract from real-life hardship. People are hungry, jobless, and crushed by inflation but you’re quoting stock market gains like it pays their bills. Subsidy’s gone with no safety nets, transport costs are insane, the naira is in freefall, insecurity is rising but sure, keep gaslighting with SEDC or SEIC which is purely cosmetics tokenism and trade surplus that doesn’t translate to cheaper imports or improved local production.

Criticism isn’t treason, and calling out failure doesn’t make someone IPOB. Nigerians don’t feel your stats or cooked, rebased GDP, they feel hunger.
Lol, I no dey pity una, make bitterness continue to deal with una whatever it want to do with una. 🤣

Don't mind those ones, they like crying all the time. But the reality is, "APC started with 59 Senators and 162 Reps in June 2023. Then the Coalitionist came determined to remove PBAT on or before 2027 election. The problem is that each time any of their leaders says "We Will Remove Tinubu" APC gets 1 extra Senator and 3 Reps. By my last count they have said it 14 times. Now APC Senators have jumped 59 to 72 (+13) and Reps moved 162 to 207 (+45). Advice them to stop saying it in their own interest"
Lol, they no dey learn, when you keep doing the same over and over again and expecting a different result, there's a name they call people like them. But these wailers are happy about coalition and they get excited when people joins the coalition. Yet they are restless when APC just show them small testing microphone 😂😂

Since the coalition emerged, there’s nothing Tinubu has not done.

He has started appointing northerners to positions. All of a sudden we are no longer hearing Ogunleye, Olaniyi, when appointments are announced.

Now, he’s going for a Middle Belt Christian as APC chairman.

Don’t be surprised if Tinubu shows up at your door tomorrow to deliver KFC chicken 😏.

The fool was being arrogant because he thought he had killed all opposition but he’s been woken up to the reality that this is Nigeria.

He dared to play in the waters that even Abacha didn’t survive in.

We’ll see how that goes.

This won't change the fact that Tinubu and the APC are heading for a heavy defeat come 2027. Nigerians won't want to endure another four years of this wicked and draconian regime, which has only succeeded in inflicting untold hardship, strife, hunger, and starvation

When the pictures of Peter Obi serving food at an event center in Owerri surfaced online, there’s nothing his traducers did not say about him.

Some accused him of hypocrisy, and of not being different from everyday Nigerian politician who eats corn on the road and fries Akara just because they are looking for votes.

But is that who Peter Obi is?

Well, the below pictures will answer that question. As can be seen in the pictures, Peter Obi was captured on two different occasions serving food while he was sitting governor.

Those of who support him know that we are supporting a character who has not only been consistent in his way of life, but also has an unimpeachable character unmatched by any politician alive in Nigeria today.

I need to clarify this to all APC corn lovers
Student loan is not an achievement. A lot of students aren't even on the loan. The person I am paying for isn't on loan. Before the student loan the fees were very affordable for everyone. Government can afford to subsidies tuition if the cut off unnecessary expenses they use to live Large. No student should graduate and be a debtor to a government that can't even provide enabling environment for industries and businesses.

PDP era of low affordable tuition is much better than APC student loan era.

PoliticsNigerian Troops Neutralize Over 100 Bandits In Decisive Warari Operation by Putindbutt(op): 1:59pm On Jul 23, 2025
In a significant victory against armed banditry, Nigerian ground troops, supported by local vigilantes, have eliminated over 100 motorcycle-riding bandits in a fierce, over three-hour gun battle in the Warari Community of Rijau Local Government Area, Niger State.

The operation, which unfolded on Tuesday, was initiated based on credible intelligence from vigilant locals regarding routes frequently used by bandits for cattle rustling. This vital information allowed the troops to set up a well-executed ambush, leading to a sustained and intense exchange of fire.

“This was the first time we witnessed such a direct confrontation where our troops clearly had the upper hand,” remarked one jubilant villager, among hundreds who poured out to commend the military. Eyewitnesses reported that the troops effectively utilized Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) and other sophisticated weaponry, overwhelming the bandits.

Community leaders in Warari, who spoke to PRNigeria on Tuesday morning, confirmed the scale of the bandits’ defeat. They reported that the corpses of the slain bandits were scattered across adjoining highways, farmlands, and the dense forest.

“As I am talking to you now, we have counted more than 70 bodies of the bandits in our farms and on the express roads,” stated one community leader, who requested anonymity for security reasons.

“More bodies are scattered in the forest which we could see from Warari hill. Warari has remain their major escape and exit routes to Kontagora, Rijau and even Ilorin leading to southern part of the country.

“We urge the authority to block this exit route for now to curtail their excesses,” the community leader concluded

PRNigeria reports that the decisive operation marks a crucial step in the ongoing fight to restore peace and security to communities plagued by banditry not only Niger State but in North Central Nigeria.

PoliticsCustoms To Replace Multiple Import Levies With Unified 4% FOB Charge by Putindbutt(op): 1:34pm On Jul 23, 2025
The Comptroller-General of Customs (CGC), Adewale Adeniyi, has announced that the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) will replace multiple import-related levies with a single 4% Free On Board (FOB) charge under a new revenue structure.

The move, aimed at streamlining charges and enhancing transparency, was revealed during a stakeholder town hall meeting held in Lagos on Monday, July 21, 2025.

According to CGC Adeniyi, the unified 4% FOB charge will eliminate the existing Comprehensive Import Supervision Scheme (CISS) and the 7% cost of collection levied on importers. He explained that once the new policy takes effect, importers will only pay the 4% charge upfront, and no additional levies will be applied.

“Once the 4% FOB takes effect, the 1% Comprehensive Import Supervision Scheme (CISS) will cease automatically. In addition, the 7% cost of collection currently charged will also be completely removed,” he explained.

“Under the new Act, the 4% FOB is paid upfront—and that’s it. Thereafter, 100% of the revenue generated by Customs will go into the Federation Account. It’s a win-win for everyone.”

Adeniyi emphasized that this change is part of broader reforms accompanying the rollout of the B’Odogwu clearance platform, a homegrown digital solution designed to enhance trade facilitation.

He reassured stakeholders that the Nigeria Customs Service remains committed to a transparent and efficient implementation process.

More insights

The town hall, themed “Enhancing Trade Compliance and System Optimisation Through Stakeholder Engagement”, brought together freight forwarders, clearing agents, and trade partners.

Stakeholders welcomed the simplification of charges but also raised concerns regarding system transition delays, particularly around bank processing and documentation.

Deputy Comptroller-General in charge of ICT/Modernisation, DCG Kikelomo Adeola, highlighted the strategic importance of the engagement, describing B’Odogwu as a national project that would position Nigeria as a leader in digital customs processes—especially as the country currently chairs the World Customs Organisation (WCO).

Also speaking at the event, Saleh Ahmadu, Chairman of Trade Modernisation Project Limited (TMPL), reaffirmed the project’s commitment to investing in the right infrastructure to support seamless trade experiences.

Panel sessions during the event addressed topics such as “Overcoming Common Importer Challenges on B’Odogwu” and “Enhancing Transparency, Speed and Revenue through Full Participation.” The event also featured a robust Q&A session, allowing participants to seek clarity on operational and policy-related matters.

The rollout of the unified 4% FOB charge is expected to reduce complexity, curb arbitrary charges, and improve Nigeria’s ranking in global trade facilitation metrics.
