good afternoon my uber and Taxify (bolt) people, I got taxify activated today so I decided to go online, I got my first request and I drove to pick up location, on getting there the rider called me and I told her am outside, she said I should pack that she is coming, on trying to pack one guy came banging my door then told me you don't pack here, open my door and entered forced my to drive to there office gave me a fine of 20k then I beg them to take 10k then I paid. I called the rider to notify her then she just ended the trip.

Please I want to ask is there a way to get back my money,

Hello Good People of Nairaland. My attention has been drawn to a thread created by ilegendd claiming I scammed him of #2000 which I didn't. here is the complete story.

As usual as I was browsing the romance section one particular evening when I came across his thread where he stated that he need someone to help him copy questions from two particular threads which are https://www.nairaland.com/2893475/dating-drills-guys-only and https://www.nairaland.com/1553594/improve-dating-game-here-see .

I quoted him here on nairaland informing him that I can do the task and he replied by saying that he had gotten someone to handle the second thread remaining the second one which I told him I will handle. The first thread contains 229 pages as the time I messaged him and the second one is 100 pages and since am handling the first thread which has 229 pages, he will pay me #2000. Am broke at the moment, less busy and need some money at the moment at the moment so I took up the task.

It was very difficult for me because I will have to read every post from each user, just imagine reading what every user post. I still mange to do the task. I read and copy evety questions, intact I even copy some tips and answers posted by the original poster of that thread. And once in a while I do report to him @ilegendd where I am and how the work is going on. I do give him updates from time to time.

Due to school work and project stuff, i was unable to finish early. I started this work on 3rd of April and finish on 14 April. In the process of doing this work, I downloaded a note editor by google which is *google keep* so that once I copy the questions from the thread, I will paste them and rearrange them in the app and save it. The default note editor on my phone won't allow me to paste long text so I downloaded the google keep app. I saved 5 documents using this method.

After I finished all this, I borrowed a laptop from a friend to compile all the questions into a ms word document, after compiling all the questions in to the ms word file, everything totalled 41pages at the lowest font which is 12. After compiling the questions and making the document ready, I sent him the document and he recharge my line via VTU. I was not satisfied, because I was expecting credit alert but alas I was notified that ilegendd had recharge my line. I was pained but I didn't fight or argue about it.

To make matters worse, I owed MTN 400 and I also forgot my share n sell pin meaning that I can even sell the recharge card. I was so so so so pained but I forget it. There are many things to be bothered about, so recharge card issue shouldn't be among those things. Also, the book he promised alongside the payment was not delivered, I didn't even bother to ask him, I don't even need it in the first place.

So back to the present, he messaged me today on whatsapp claiming I scammed him, I cheated ,I disappointed him and that I lied to him. I was surprised because that's the first time I will be told such things.

I explained everything to him. I explained to him how everything goes yet he claimed I scammed him that I only stop at 22 like he was there when I was doing the task. I told him that I just deleted the document today since its of no use to me. He told me to check page 229 and copy the last question for him, I explained to him that I have completed the task he gave to me and if he need the question he should check the page 229 himself and find the question asked. I told him that the deal has been completed, I have nothing to do with the thread again.

I tried explaining things to him, it even got to an extent that I can't even read his messages again, I just can't stand his accusations. This made me blocked him in the first place.

ilegendd please sit down and ask yourself why I will scam you. Bro, I might be broke and hungry but stealing people's money, ripping them off, scamming them is what I will never do. if you and your fellow followers won't believe me, I know God believe me and he knows what am saying is nothing but the truth.

Lastly, ilegendd if truly I scammed you, if truly I stopped at page 22, if truly I didn't complete the task, may I die before tomorrow, may I never be successful in my life, may I never know peace, and may I never achieve anything in my life but if it's the other way round bro. For lying against me and for the false accusations, you will never reap the fruit of your labour, you and your generations will starve till this world end, you will never know peace, you will be disgraced and embarrassed, you will be lied to and against.

It could be that you omitted a question which made him feel you didn't complete the task.

Again from the vin check by carfax, it hand an accident and only the rear bumper was affected, air bag did not deploy.

I have the same personality. I lived in school hostels during my university days but cannot tell the names of my roommates.

The first teaching job I took pre-NYSC, the teachers conspired against me with several allegations ranging from inability to control the class, to the students not understanding me,etc. I was sacked after the first term.

Guess what? I am doing very well today as a Freelancer that I can employ the principal of that school and pay him.


My opinion - it's a behavioral disorder. Sadly you may not be able to come out of it completely as your happiness will be jeopardize if you force it.

My suggestion - find a job that does not require physical contact with people.

make I give you correct ogbonge advise if you like take if you like no take am, if you want to use the car within lagos and I mean Lagos alone just go cut customs paper with 20k if the vehicle will travel to any part of the country just follow the guy that charged you 500k. as for the guy that charged you 250k the chance of your car getting siezed by customs is 50%. the choice is yours.

This is unrealistic expectation or promo

20k fuel per week equals 80k fuel per month.

Now, if a driver buys fuel of 80k in a month, how much does he make and how much is left for other expenses.

Invariably, you want the driver to buy all the 20k fuel on credit at 21,400 to get #700 recharge. Who enjoys owing and paying interest when he can easily buy on cash.

My Honda Accord has been giving me issues of late. Hence, i'm planning on getting the corolla too. But honestly i don't think i can spend more than 1.8m including customs papers. I don't mind a salvage, as long as the frame is not damaged and it was not flooded.

If you want to tow a safer path, import the car from copart yourself so that you will know the true condition of the car.

If you are looking at buying 2003-2005, then you might be lucky to get a good salvage at that rate.

What will be done is editing VIN on the duty of another car to that of Ops car. So, if one day the person with the original duty is stopped his VIN won't be found in the database, such once happened to someone here, it was an Avalon and car was impounded for about 2 weeks because the VIN of a car which had genuine duty had disappeared from customs database... Thanks to those getting genuine duty documents for Cotonou car I guess.

Then to the cost issue. If the car was imported into Cotonou from North America chances of single owner and no accident ever are slim; and there's a reason for the sale. It was a sale to an exporter, so someone exporting it to anywhere in the world could have bought it. Therefore a lesser or same mileage car with about the same level of damage since OP admitted having impact history could have gotten to his house in Lagos with genuine custom papers for the same or lesser cost.

I don't know about this but people have been importing and are still importing cars from Cotonou.

Go there and see tons of cars being taken to Lagos.

The only way that you can get a good salvage car is when you import it yourself.

Sadly, most naija auto dealers go for the worst salvage with high mileage just so they can make excessive profit.

Its a shame that 13-14 years later, rather than have 2012-2013 camrys everywhere on our roads, it's the same 1999-2001 we still have everywhere.

What you guys are missing is that car models affect the durability.

Give me 1999-2002 Camry Pencil-Light and I will pick it over 2003-2006 big daddy.

Toyota Corolla 2003-2007 is more reliable than the 2009-2012 models. Let's face the fact.

I didn't buy 2006 because I cannot afford the later models, I am only looking at the models that are reliable.

If indeed the Corolla is clean title, 139k miles and 1 owner then the price is worth it.

Bro, take a look at this car. The Nairaland agent that wanted to buy it for me put the landing cost at 2.75 million excluding custom duties.

The truth is, a living 2006/2007 model of a car is better than a dead 2012/2013 model.

Cars45 has a 2012 toyota corrola at 1.7 million. I am sure it's a good deal for some people but I will run away from such cars.

Clean titled cars are expensive more reason dealers run away from it.

They have told you how much custom papers would cost, the real question is are you ready to foot that bill. The amount you paid for the vehicle is exorbitant.

You paid custom fees to Benin republic but ommitted that of Nigeria reason why paying real duty is cheaper at tin can than from Benin republic.

I don't really see the big difference between a 2003 corolla and a 2007 corolla maybe because we have 2 of them and I have weighed them side by side. The only difference I know is in CE with manual windows all the other corolla years are identical except sport which wears skirt join the leggings
