I usually feel this is done automatically by d app.
Nope, you toggle it on and off. Same way a rider chooses which category to book the ride from.

Recently Bolt has been varying in Commission charges between 10% and 20%.
Only raise alarm when d commission is above 20%.
Secondly, the Booking fees varies. If u do 10trips worth 100k it's lesser than if u do 20trips worth same 100k. The more the trips the higher the deductible.
This one is not a booking fee thing. The booking fee is lesser in the one I did 101,100. It's just the Commision that is way too high

Omo today dry ohh. Everywhere red but no trips
In this business, you need to learn how to switch between apps and categories.

When it's surging real hard, the price becomes outrageous for riders to book normal Bolt Category, they go for the Economy category.

In order to get orders, you need to switch on your Economy.

Good thing is, Economy on surge isn't that bad. Most trips within Shomolu, Yaba, Surulere axis are booked on Economy category.

Can someone explain this? I made 97,300 on the 5th of June and my take home was 76,972. While on the 6th, I made 101,100 and my net is 75,585.

How did I make more gross and less net? Why did I pay 15,634 on a 97,300 gross and then paid 21,184 on a 101,100 gross? Bolt!

I think both you and your car are the problem. You need to review the tool you use for the hustle. I drive corolla bro and it doesn't drink fuel.

I ensure I don't do too much long pick up. You need to know maths and numbers to make it in this business.

Because if I drive 3km to go pick someone. I factor that into the total kilometre for the trip to determine if it's worth the price.

Your type is the reason riders look down on drivers as paupers. I carried some guys today from Maryland to MM1.

They alighted from a Bolt ride. The driver picked them up at Surulere heading to the airport before his tyre bursted. The guy doesn't have a spare tyre, you can imagine that.

what documents were you given along for the land and from which real estate?
The Estate's global CofO, the survey plan, and the Deed of Assignment.

I got it from Arcview investment company. They're located at Anthony on Ikorodu road, very close to Uber Inspection Centre

This is what I want to be reading as a newbie, please where in Mowe ? And what price?
Also, do you have a good mechanic that can fix my Corolla 2010 incase any issues ?
I bought it in installments at 4.5 million total package.

That land now is selling for 20+ millions, total package for half plot.

The estate is along that Mowe - Ofada road. The Mowe market road.

When I bought it, the road is not that good but now one side of the road is completely tarred down to Ofada. That caused a massive appreciation in the prices of land in that axis. It's a 45 minutes drive from my house in Shomolu.

I don't recommend mechanics, they're all the same Kazeem.

The only issue I have with driving is the body pain. It seems too stressful for my type. That's why I'm doing everything humanly possible to establish other businesses.

It's not something that someone should do for a long time and also, the pain now may come back to hunt in later years.

. Stop capping. You re a big fat Liar. 99% of drivers cant save 1 million naira in a year including you. We have been this in shiit for long, we know as e dey go. How you wan take save 1M ? You no go buy fuel @890, you no go repair car at inflation prices? you no pay commission? With these cheap cheap prices you wan take save 2.5 million a year, you must be high on cheap weed cheesy grin cheesy. Bros I just fixed my car last week from money that I have saving since January 2025, AC cost me #268,000 naira and suspension repairs cost #165,000 naira. Total of #433,000 naira. My account balance dey read minus as I am taking to you now. It's Iike I started a fresh again. In fact I had to borrow money from a friend to add to the one I have to fix the car. I have done a survey with alot of drivers to find out how much they have after hustling the whole year, most don't even have savings, they are leaving hand to mouth. The way this hustle is going, alot of sensible people will quit it soon. Because the cost of running it is becoming more expensive than the profit you make.

I don'attach the Receipt to show. I no like to dey sell zobo. I am not a fan of giving people high hopes.
Bro, our realities are different. I don't know the type of car you use and the condition.

But I must tell you that I net minimum of 40k every day that I go out there to drive the full day.

I got my car as Tokunbo in 2019 and have been using it on the platform since that time.

If you are part of the drivers that sit down under the mango tree to gist when your mates are hustling, or those that go to anywhere belle face, then don't complain when others are making investments with their earnings.

To me, any driver that cannot save ordinary 500k a month should just quit the hustle and go back to his village.

I met one driver at my mechanic workshop who told me that he recently moved to Ikorodu because he couldn't afford rent at Shomolu. This guy said no ehailing driver can afford to live in Shomolu, I spat on his face.

Not only do I live in Shomolu, the estate I bought land and about to develop in Mowe has 40% of the home and land owners as diasporians.

You can continue to sample opinions of your fellow lazy drivers, because as for my type, you won't even see me idle enough to ask any questions

What's so difficult in saving 2.5 million per annum? Any serious driver nets at least one million naira in the month of December.

So tell me why a driver cannot recover 5 million in 2 years?

That makes no sense! Are you insinuating that if one's father did not leave any wealth behind for his own children, he therefore cannot be expected to do otherwise? Are you OK at all? undecided

2. Definitely, the women who reward these bad fathers with children they are aware will not live a life better than theirs are equally to blame. undecided

3. He can still live his life while ensuring he places blame where it belongs, which is with his father and mother failed at being better parents and providers.
You’re the one that's not okay bro.

If his father is expected to make it despite not coming from a privileged background, the poster should make it too by correcting his father's mistake.

He should have been a rev father,
He knew his kids will find life unbearable why did not first sort his life before getting married,
Did his father leave any wealth for him as you expect him to leave for you? If he was born in a poor background and you are also born in the same poor background, then do what you expected him to do so your children will not be born in a poor background too.

You're blaming your father alone, what happened to your mother? She's also an adult with complete body, so she's capable of working and giving you the good life.

Sometimes people don't think. I'm sure you're an adult already so get up and create the life you desire and stop blaming your father.

You might find it hard to believe, I’ve been rejecting island trips for more than 2 yrs now. From mainland if you see island trip, the price go look huge and most drivers will jump at it.

when you finish collect money. You go begin receive trips to places wey you no sabi, some useless area na so so sand and water. (If you sabi island routes you no get issues) Not to mention that lekki epe traffic, when you wan come mainland back you go begin find wetin no lost 😂

If you sabi mainland road well, i will advise you to stick 2 mainland trips. On mainland too you go filter trips to places you know say road no worse.
I used to force myself to go to Island when the price made sense but not anymore. Island is full of short trips, the only meaningful long trips that you will do is to Lekki Phase II and Ajah axis which I hate to go because of traffic and inaccessibility.

It gets worse in the evening when you can spend extra 20 minutes just to make a turn from one side of the road to the other.

And Google maps flops so well in locating those estates in Phase II. Due to the fact that most of those estates are interlinked but they used gate to block the access.

I work on the mainland only. I only avoid Ikorodu, Alimosho, Apapa, Festac axis.

Driving through Futo from the main gate at Obinze axis to the exit gate leading to ihiagwa will take you less than 12mins
From Unizik main gate on onitsha enugu express to exit gate leading to ifite will take you more time not minding diverting to senate building and school hostel

Check it bro
I drove through Unizik from the back gate to the front gate in less than 5 mins. Unizik no reach Futo anywhere in terms of land mass bro.

Hello Nairalanders, please I need some advice regarding a business that I want to jointly do with a friend.

It's a pharmacy business and the guy is a pharmacist. The budget is 15 million for a start up.

I need suggestions on
1. How do we go about the payment for his salary and his profit from the business.
2. How will the profit be shared if I contribute 10 million and he contributes 5 million.
3. I am a social media manager. I will be marketing the business through social media platforms. How do I go about my own payment.

Whois:
*Lagos State Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Sites*

Lagos State has implemented Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) sites to monitor traffic and enforce road safety regulations. These systems include speed detection checkpoints and e-police stations for monitoring traffic violations.

1. Third Mainland Bridge
- Speed Limit: 80 km/h
- Located along this major bridge, which connects the mainland to Lagos Island. Speed cameras monitor the traffic speed and violations on various parts of the bridge.

2. Alapere, Ogudu Road
- Speed Limit: 80 km/h
- A significant location with a speed camera to ensure vehicles adhere to the speed limit.

3. NITEL, Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way
- Speed Limit: 60 km/h
- This is another area with a speed camera along Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, a prominent road in Lagos.

4. Ojota Bridge (by Motorway)
- Speed Limit: 50 km/h
- Speed cameras are located near the Ojota Bridge, which connects Ikorodu Road with the Third Mainland Bridge. The speed limit here is lower due to traffic density.

5. Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge
- Speed Limit: 50 km/h to 60 km/h
- Speed cameras are installed to monitor traffic flow along this key bridge connecting Lekki and Ikoyi.

6. Allen Avenue Road Junction
- Speed Limit: 50 km/h
- Located at the intersection of Allen Avenue, this e-police station monitors various traffic violations, including speeding.

7. Nurudeen Olowopopo Road
- Speed Limit: 60 km/h
- This road also has speed cameras that enforce traffic rules and regulations.

8. Ikorodu Road (various locations)
- Speed Limit: 50 km/h to 60 km/h
- Ikorodu Road has several speed cameras installed at different locations to monitor traffic speed.

9. Oshodi-Apapa Expressway
- Speed Limit: 50 km/h to 60 km/h
- This busy highway has multiple speed cameras to regulate traffic flow and reduce accidents.

10. Epe Expressway
- Speed Limit: 80 km/h
- Speed cameras are installed to monitor high-speed driving along the Epe Expressway.

11. Murtala Mohammed International Airport Road
- Speed Limit: 60 km/h
- Cameras monitor traffic around the airport area, especially to control speeding near busy terminals and intersections.

Note:
Motorists detected violating traffic laws at these locations will receive SMS notifications from the Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS), detailing the nature of the violation and the corresponding fines. The fines are set at ₦20,000 for running red lights and ₦50,000 for exceeding speed limits.

These locations are part of the Lagos State Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) that includes speed cameras, traffic lights, and e-police stations to monitor and enforce road safety. Fines are imposed on those caught violating speed limits or committing other road traffic offenses. It’s always a good idea to stay updated on speed limits in different areas, as they can change due to traffic conditions or roadworks.

For specific details, you can check with local traffic authorities like LASTMA for the latest information on traffic enforcement.
They should just put signs on these roads. I can't come and be cramming speed limits

how do u get trips on bolt? Its been very hard because i refused to do the Economy option, immediate i try to switch to Economy trips wil start coming in but I can't do those trips for such ridiculous fares
If you avoid economy trips entirely, you'll have had time making any money on Bolt.

The economy prices may seem ridiculous but not entirely bad. I combine it with Bolt categories to make up for my bonus trip count.

What I do most times is to only accept Economy trips with very close pickups, accept Economy trips that are 5k minimum with a max of 20 to 25 minutes trip duration, and lastly, avoid using AC for those brokies.

And for a fact, Indrive prices can be better than Bolt Economy prices in net value. Imagine a trip that's 5100 on Indrive and 5300 on Bolt Economy. You know which one will give a better net value.

The economy category made things worse. It wasn't much a problem with surge but now that the surge is gone...

If you uncheck it, you'd stay for as long as forever without getting any trips.

Oh, the economy riders are the first to demand for AC.

I carried one Bolt staff the other day who told me that the Economy category was meant to serve as the Uber Go. That the trips booked within economy category should be at a maximum of 5 kilometres radius.

But like every other feature they implement, they will always create a loophole that will get the system messed up.

The long pick up request is the most annoying of them all. Now I just allow it to ring till the end because rejecting it makes it easier for both of them and more frustrating for me

It's because the riders have chosen to use Bolt economy only. Something Bolt should have disabled this festive season.
