I never wanted the abortion bro. I'm old enough to be a father. I only agreed to it because I was considering the girl.

So, I got entangled with this girl who happens to be an undergraduate student.

The mum knows me, we talk on the phone but we haven't met in person. Immediately they got off the phone, the girl started crying because fear gripped her.

When she told me the dream, I asked her if she still wants to go on with the abortion but she said no.

We picked the hospital test today and it came out positive. We just picked up some drugs that will help the baby to grow well. We are going back in two weeks time for scan and start preparing for our bundle of joy.

Even though I didn't prepare for this yet, I'm willing to take on the responsibility and see through the challenge. The Owerri guy slide arrived while still far from me and still didn't start the trip until I reminded him. Trip ended the exact 2100 estimated plus 200 naira wait time.

This is how a normal trip should read. Most of these drivers are criminals. I am a driver too but will never cheat a rider to make extra profit.

That's why I keep wondering what these guys making millions a month are doing differently if not beating the system to their advantage and ignorance of the riders.

As a driver, there are times you will end trip without getting any immediately, you will drive to location and rider will cancel, etc. There are a lot of things that will consume your time that when you check it very well, except for bonus, most drivers should be having between 15k to 20k net income legitimately.

This trip below was on a surge and ended 1400 for 17 minutes drive. Another ended the same 17 minutes at 2300.

I ordered a ride from my house in Shomolu to MM2.

Trip ended 1700 which shouldn't be because there was no surge and no traffic. I saw the paid waiting and was shocked because as a driver, I know about paid waiting and the odd of keeping the driver waiting so I was basically standing in front of my house waiting for the driver. How the paid waiting got to 400 naira is what I don't understand.

When you request for a ride, they will not start the trip until the paid waiting reads so high, they will then start it.

I experienced the same thing the same day when I got to Owerri and ordered bolt to take me to where I would lodge. That one, I caught the driver when we've driven half way without him starting the trip. Attached is the trip at Owerri. A trip of 17 minutes ended 2300.

Nigerians have a way of abusing things.

My only advice to you is in regards to meeting your uncle for financial advice.

That 14000 guaranteed gross earnings is shiit_

How can Bolt expect a driver not to earn up to 14000 after a whole 8 trips.

Now, they've given me 18000 gross earnings target with 10 trips. Even 6 trips can get you the 18000.

When I started out on Fiverr, I never knew it was possible to get orders without sending offers in buyers requests. I spent over two years on Fiverr relying solely on buyers request and I was doing well.

That has changed now due to so many factors.

1. Higher competition: it's very difficult to get job on Fiverr now through buyers request due to high competition. It is so now for everybody. Then, for every 10 offers I sent in a day, I must get at least one message.

2. Low quality buyers: it seems 70% offers on buyers request page now are Indians and clown Nigerians like the one someone mentioned above. I don't read those requests pass the starting line. Then, high quality US buyers post offers with befitting pays.

3. Low quality sellers: the competition would have been a meaningful one if you are competing with people who know what they are doing. But no, these guys don't have a clue what the job entails but would send offer nevertheless. What this means is that the buyer may not have the patience to read through all the offers to get to your well crafted offer. They could get pissed off by the first ten offers and either abandon buying the service on Fiverr or look for people ranking in that niche and contact them.

4. Unhonored offers: when a buyer posts a request, Fiverr suggests gigs that could provide the service they are looking for. What this means is that the buyer can contact one of those suggested gigs and never bother going through the offers.

I know this does not solve your problem, but just so you know that it's universal. Getting a job through buyers request page was easy some years back but not anymore.

What to do? Have a plan B. When the going was good for me, I got myself a Toyota corolla. Today, I use the car to drive on bolt every Sunday and earn between 60k to 80k driving just 4 times in a month while I face Fiverr on the other days of the week.

While you can, save the little you made and invest.

Again, this does not solve your problem of how to get sales on Fiverr, but the truth is, no one knows.

We can only do what is in the books but that doesn't guarantee anything, so don't let anyone deceive you.
